Kagari headed to the southeast doorlift. he then went in. Wonder what we will fight... More armos knights.... keese...what, he thought. He also thought about traps. If he was to fail to get past one he might not be able to survive. He looked through the room. [Awareness check]

Alpha nodded triumphantly to Darilan as the Scribe's staff impacted with the Armos, crushing it to pieces just like its counterpart. His plan worked out well after all - good. And to make things even better, the monsters' defeat had apparently been the trigger to opening the gated doorway that would allow them to proceed.
Following the rest of the adventurers who had already begun to celebrate and continue onward, the Sheikah kept his senses up and ready for anything that might be coming their way. [Awareness Check] At the same time, he began looking around, wondering who else could serve as the leader now - he'd had more than his share of leadership for now.

It is very reassuring to Valens that the Goddesses light spreads even to these dark recesses of the North-South Pass. A comforting light glows from his body as his damages are healed. He feels rejuvenated and as though the battle had never occurred. With newfound energy, he walks to the door and triumphantly calls out to the others behind him. "Let's not waste any time in this empty room. I am sure now that this place is worth looking into!"
The adventurers are now standing in a thin tunnel. It curves in an arc leading southwest, and Valens is quick to note that there isn't anything out of the ordinary. The group follows the path around its turn and are met my another decrepit looking door. The General hastily opens it and beckons the others to proceed into the second room. The party enters the room facing west.
In this room, there are two doors through which the adventurers may walk. One of these, however, is currently impassible. A large lock, complete with chains, hangs off a door towards the west side of the north wall. An open door stands towards the east side of the south door.
Darilan, Kagari and Alpha are all successful in their analysis of the room, and what they see may shock and alarm them. Another Armos is found in this chamber, and to make matters worse, a Bulblin and a pair of Madderpiller also inhabit the not-so-abandoned lair. The Bulblin panics as so many warriors enter its domain, and it lets out a shriek of dismay. The adventurers may not realize it, but the horrid creature is actually sounding an alarm. A second Bulblin rushes in through the southeast door and snarls viciously at you as it draws a gnarled, wooden club from off its back. The Armos springs to life, and it would appear that this statue is not in as rough of shape as the two from before.
Realizing that these are hardened adventurers they are dealing with, the original Bulblin is quick to charge at the first to pop his head through the door - the unsuspecting mercenary, Sabertache. The club hits its mark and the nomad is instantly feeling the weight of this battle. (Saber -11 HP)

Oh, the price that must be paid to help others.
The mercenary, just finishing his prayer for Valens, barely had time to give out his own cry of alarm before he staggered back through the door, a nasty bruise on his chest where the club hit him. Luckily, his ribs seemed to have held up.
"Looks like this room's occupied. What do you say we remedy that?"
Drawing his saber, the mercenary lunged forward at the bulblin who had posessed the gaul to charge such a large group. Hoping the speed at which he struck would be enough to guarantee a blow, he jabbed his thin blade towards the monster's gut.

After all was said and done, Lilly sat on Taint's shoulder as they continued through the passages. While he'd emerged seemingly unharmed, he hadn't managed to land a single hit, and this made him itchy to redeem himself in some way. He was actually
hoping they'd run into to trouble so that he could feel like he was worth something. "So, Taint... You really knocked em' dead back there." The fairy remarked with a snicker. "Oh, you just shut up! I'll show you! I'll show all of you!" Taint's face was crumpled and he was all out of patience-
When BOOM. Danger kicked open their front door, and had already begun to force themselves upon one unfortunate adventurer. The Zora motioned to Lilly to take flight, and plowed through the door eager to get a piece of the action. Hey, at least he was enthusiastic about his battles. "Yeah! Im'ma serve me up some Bublin pie on this ol' sword'a mine!" Sprinting towards the first Bublin to come into his line of view, he introduced his sword to the battle, and slashed directly across the beast's chest.

Alpha grimaces as the sight of yet another room of monsters, one of them getting the pounce on the unsuspecting warriors and managing a hit on Saber even before most of the group have their weapons drawn and their defenses prepared. His staff is immediately in his hand once more as he glances about, taking in the numbers and types of creatures found in the chamber.
It would likely be a good idea to bolster everyone's stats once more, but he pauses as he tries to decide which one would be the best choice. Strength or Agility are the two best choices - one kills creatures faster, the other allows for better accuracy and evasion. But they probably won't need improved Agility for anything except the Armos . . .
Still, as always, his Sheikah nature and the training he received under Master Zaris compels him to go with the Speed aspect of things. It doesn't matter how quickly they can finish these monsters off; in the end, it only matters how much damage they take in the process. So once again he spreads out his will to the adventurers, infusing within them his desire that they remain lightfooted and accurate in their strikes. [Leadership L1 - AGI]

Aria had been completely shocked that her discovery had led to the animation of the statues. And once that shock had worn off and she let slip a soft curse uttered in her own tongue, she had been unable to find an opening with which to attack. However, any apology she was going to make died when she noticed that the destruction of the Armoses led to the opening of the real door.
Which led to more monsters. The Gerudic ranger growled. And despite being outnumbered, they thought it a good idea to fight. Well, she'd just have to change that impression. But first....

Maverick was relieved to see that his theory on how the adventurers were to go about opening the barred door proved correct. Following the others as they made their way through the dark corridors of what appeared now to be some sort of minion hideout, he was determined not to let any sort of baddy get the first strike in should they come across any.
And so it bothered him top no end that the poor young nomad called Saber had been doomed from the start. Maverick winced and recoiled in sympathy as he watched the battler spark to life. Bulblins could be so rude. Perhaps it was this aspect of their nature that made them so socially repulsive and easy to kill remorselessly so. Maverick always had a difficult time raising his staff against any civilized sort of person, but these foul creatures fell entirely too far below that line.
The scholar was capable of powerful magic, but his ability had gotten to the point that it was near impossible to focus his energies on one target. As such, casting elemental spells in combat proved problematic to his resources. It was not worth casting anything at the moment; the two Madderpillers would remain unharmed indefinitely, and the only effect his spell would have would be to enrage the beasts.
Because of this, he raised his old wooden staff. The Zora appeared to be taking care of the newly arrived Bulblin. Silently whispering thanks to Alpha and Aria for their support, he charged at the Bulblin responsible for Saber's discontent. He swung forcefully in a wide arc, grinning triumphantly as he struck out at the heathen assailant.

Darilan gained some confidence, likely false, when he smashed the other Armos to pieces. That was one reason why he chose to attack the Armos [Staff on Armos]. The others seemed to be taking care of the Bulblins, and no one was touching the Madderpillers, for good reason. If they pissed one of those things off, they would transform into a rampaging rage machine of death.
As he prepared to bring his staff down on the Armos, he spoke to the others. "After the Bublins are dead, we should focus on the Madderpillers, but one at a time. Once we anger it, it will go into an angry fit and become vulnerable. When that happens, we should do everything in our power to finish it before it can do any of us harm."

Saber's vengeance makes its mark, and the Bulblin stumbles back in agony as the mercenary's no-longer-useless saber slashes painfully into the treacherous minion. It regains its composure and lets out an enraged snarl of hatred towards the righteous, do-gooder nomad before lunging at him with his club bared again. The do-gooder nomad seems to have done a good job of shocking the Bulblin. Its club flies right past its intended target and hits the wall with a bang. (Bulblin 1 -10 HP)
The Bulblin that had answered its fellow's cry for assistance is having equally bad luck. It would appear that Taint's swordsman ability is proving more honed than it previously had. His wooden sword cleaves through the Bulblin's defense and sends it falling back with a cry of pain. It swings its club wildly as it falls, but is unable to hit the elusive Zora. (Bulblin 2 -18 HP)
Alpha's leadership apparently did not end in the previous room, and he yet again takes on a commanding role in the battle, the entire party is granted a boost to their combat finesse. With the support of Aria, the party now has two figures to look up to. The group's defenses are fortified by the Gerudo's blessing. (Party +3 AGI, +3 DEF)
Kagari once again proves himself to be an accomplished marksman. The original Bulblin is unable to jump out of harm's way as it recovers from its failed attack against Saber, and takes the archer's arrow directly in the chest with a heavy grunt. It loses a great deal of blood as it tears the shaft from its sternum and growls angrily at Kagari. (Bulblin 1 -9 HP)
While Kagari is at a decent enough range for the Bulblin to be unable to retaliate, the Sheikah is not entirely fortunate. The sole Armos is close enough to the bowman to get an attack in, and it does so fully and effectively. (Kagari -6 HP)
The horrow show does not end there for the unlucky first Bulblin, however. Maverick is finally able to get a hit in on an enemy, and the wicked creature is sent flying on its back as the full force of the mage's staff collides with its torso and knocks it to the ground with a grunt of anguish. Bulblins are notiriously bad fighters on their backs, and this one is no different. It's flailing club fails to hit Maverick back. (Bulblin 1 -10 HP)
Alpha's blessing of agility unto the party seems to be coming in handy, as Abel is able to breach the defenses of the single Armos that inhabits the room. Kagari might want to thank Abel for getting a vengeance strike in. The swordsman chips a large piece of the enchanted statue clean off. He is able to escape retaliation altogether. It seems to be an unlucky day for Ganon's faulty statues. (Armos -8 HP)
Unfortunately, Darilan is not quite so lucky. His staff collides with the stone armor and is deflected easily, putting him in a moment's daze. He is lucky enough to escape the Armos' charge, at any rate, and should consider that success enough. Even despite the party's great advantage in speed, an Armos should never be underestimated in terms of defense.

Simon smiled. He was right. Darilan translated it with ease. Even better. The statues were broken. As the switch sunk into place though, he noticed something. The statues were activating. "Damn it, there is always a catch," noted the Scribe, eager formulate a new plan.
However, before he forged one, the battle was over. He was lucky to be working with such skilled adventures to finish off the Armos Knights so quickly. Then again, they were broken to some extent. But why were they able to activate so suddenly. He frowned again, this riddle escaping him as he was forced to continue the others into the newly opened passage through the southeast door.
He turned to his friends, who were fighting off the minions of Ganon, again. Or at least His remnant forces. He wasn't going to stand on the sideline. He unfurrled a scroll, and began scribbling on it furiously. He finished, reading aloud the rhythmical rehashing of exploits of the Crusaders. It was perhaps becoming one of his best works. A counterpart for each of the actual Crusaders, the poem stuck to the general gist, and over romanticized the heroic efforts of the group. Despite some events being exaggeration, he hoped it would push his friends to new levels as it had before [Epic Poem L2].

OOC: Shouldn't Bublin #2 have 14 HP left? What shaved 10 damage off of my attack?
Alpha edit: You're right, RG's wrong, it's been fixed.
Also, Taint's sword is iron, it's just really rusty... I guess it could look like wood if caught at a glance... How his sword has managed to hold up this long anyone's guess.
IC: Finally, a hit. Lilly cheered from above as she watched the battle. His confidence now regained, and his redemption complete, he was ready to finish the Bublin off. After barely dodging the Bublin's last attack, he used the momentum of his dodge to swing his sword towards the opponent's neck, for a fatal strike that it wouldn't recover from. This was the path he'd chosen. The path of a warrior- and honestly, if he had the opportunity to go back in time and change his life's decision, he wouldn't change a doggone thing.

Alpha watched as adventurer after adventurer scored hits on the vile creatures that they had managed to encounter. Only once did one of their number get hit in retaliation, but it didn't look too painful. At any rate, what he had seen gave him plenty of reason to believe that his power had successfully taken hold in each adventurer, which meant he was free to get moving and go on the offensive himself.
His staff came forth in his hand as he looked about the chamber for the best target. One of the Bokoblins looked about ready to collapse, but another person could take it out just as easily. Same went for the second Bokoblin; and he'd be wasting his time with the two Madderpillars, as they couldn't be injured without a preceding strike.
He turned his focus to the Armos.
It's powerful defense could be broken past if someone had great enough speed - and buffered by his Leadership power and Simon's Epic Poem, his agility had nearly doubled. He had the greatest chance of hitting that target, and he meant to use it. So he charged forward, flashing through the battlefield so fast that even he had trouble keeping up with his movements. When he drew close enough to the living statue, he brought his rod down with all the strength and speed - especially speed - he could muster. [Staff - Armos]
