Dogura's mind was racing as fast as a supercomputer. So much so, that veins were throbbing around his temples. He searched the room over once again looking for anything that may help them in the battle. However Dogura was not a negetive person, so he was happy that Kroperg was no longer on the offensive.

Dogura's Awareness Check succeeds (17+5[Roll+INT]). Gazing around the room - but being careful to avoid the blinding flames - he realizes that his previous command to Kasei to blow up the ceiling is pointless, primarily because the ceiling is already gone. Looking at the walls, he sees that they have a few cracks in them, but nothing substantial. The cracks in the floor, however, have grown rather large with the continual stomping of the Kroperg. Also, the water from the melted ice has all gathered in these cracks, filling them almost to the point where the water is overflowing.

OOC: No, it's very much still alive. How about reading the previous posts?

OOC: Now, see, if you had gone back, you would know we can't get close to it; there's a wall of fire surrounding Kroperg, and there's a vortex that will push you back. Also, how about reading Alpha's last post? I'm still trying to figure out what I can do with that info.

Dogura decided he was thinking to hard. Perhaps a single abstract thought would do the trick. Dogura casts Favor of the Godesses on the floor. The floor being repaired forces the water up ouy of the cracks, thus flooding the arena. That was Dogura's brilliantly stupid Idea.

OOC: In other words im stumped. :D

OOC: Come on now, Alpha. You've given Arco another reason to hate fire XD

IC:

Yowch.

The humidity had caused Blank to sweat profusely, but never did he feel a greater amount of perspiration dripping from his body. Every hair on his head was thoroughly soaked, marinating in the awful substance. And then there were the intense burns. Each time the Kroperg had heaved its fiery breath, the feeling of illness inside of the nomad's stomach welled up. It felt as though his stomach acids and other vital fluids were boiling and bubbling, rising up and forcing their way out of the prison that was his gut.

And then he belched, unable to control the outrageous chemical reaction that the heat of the attack had brought on. He smiled, embarrassed, but doubting that he anyone had noticed. Especially since more than half of them were laying about on the floor, scorched severely. They looked ridiculous, but Blank soon felt a rush of sympathy building for them. It took a moment, but he realized that his companions had been felled by the vile creature's deadly attack.

Now he stared into the raging fire. His head shook silently as he watched the survivors and their futile attempts at breaking through the wild barrier. No, no, the floor, he thought as Dogura commanded Kasei to aim at the already shattered ceiling. Of course, he doubted anyone would hear him telepathically, and so he voiced his concern. "Kasei, throw your bombs at the floor. The cracks are much larger now, so maybe something will finally happen."

Dogura's Favor of the Goddesses has no effect at all on the floor. Even if that kind of spell actually worked on non-living objects, it wouldn't have done anything.

OOC: Must I really give you all a hint? To do so would disgust me, but I'm willing to do it if you ask for it (not if Kasei asks for it, but anyone else can). Note: that doesn't necessarily mean that all of your ideas are wrong.

Rose looks elsewhere in the room, keeping her eyes off of the flames; it'll be a miracle if she sees anything clearly after that. [Awareness check]

OOC: Hmm, does that count as asking for a hint? :D

OOC: Nope.

IC:
Rose's Awareness Check fails (6+3[Roll+INT]), and she is unable to spot anything new of interest...though she does manage to avoid going blind.

OOC: Okay, I'm desperate enough to ask. If you're willing, give us the hint.

OOC: I need at least one more respectable person to ask for the hint.

OOC: Haha... thanks for thinkin' of me, Blank XD. But I think that at least this part of FoG is something that takes place *before* Ring of Fire in Arco's personal timeline, so in actuality it was Sloan who increased Arco's dislike for the element. A dislike that was founded in the smithy days and worsened by the Kroperg, as it were.

By the way... am I the only one right now who's thinking Arctic Seeds?

Oh, and regarding Favor of the Goddesses... I'm now almost certain that the "free" in the Rules Set refers to it being Free TP-wise, and that it is exactly L1 Life by a different name. Not an innate skill requiring innate checks, just a bonus Hylian talent that requires 8 SPL just like Life. I can't find the exact TDC forum post where I asked about this, but why else do you think Narrator wrote, "Clarified that Favor of the Goddesses is L1 Life by a different name"?

At least... that's how I believe it was intended.

OOC: I was talking to ZV over AIM, and he thought Artic Seeds, but he didn't think it would work.
