EVENT: THE CURSED MASKS
Part I: Into Another Dimension

IC: Small waves from the green lake seep up onto the shore of the beach. The sun begins to set and it grows dark. In the tall grassy field in the middle of the forest, nothing seems out of the ordinary. Brin is here waiting for you, just like he said. He stands over a freshly dug hole, holding up a torch to illuminate the dark tunnel at the bottom. All is still and silent. It grows very eerie.

Brin senses your discomfort. "Don't worry," he says. "We won't have to wait here long. Just until everyone comes. Then the siege will begin."

Siege of what? you wonder.This hole? You chuckle at the absurdity of it. As if reading your thoughts, Brin says "You'll find out soon."

Out of curiosity, you step into the hole. Wait a second. You just heard something that sounded like chanting. You look toward Brin.

Again, he says, "You will understand in time." You step back out into the twilight, waiting for the others to join you. This will be a dangerous quest.

azador sits down at the bottom of a tree,
as he listens to the sound of the wind that blows trough the branches

hmmm..you sure are in a rush, you might tell me where you've bin, brin

"Don't worry, Azador, you'll find out soon enough. Now we just need to wait for the others..."

"Sorry I'm Late. Its Hard getting around after returning to the land of the living." he says as he sits next to Azador."You saw me at my house, Didn't you." he asks the mage.

"Sovelis, you came! Good! Only a few more people left." says Brin as Sovelis approaches.

"Whats with the hair? I'm guessing I'm not the only one who has had a brush with death." he says as he sips from his canteen.

hmmm..death..
I'm not afraid of dying..
because i know there is an after life,
We must live the live the godess wanted us to live,
never play tricks with them..never

otherwise, you won't like the after life.. really

"Your right, For your people. I'll go somewhere else when I die Azador." he says.

yes.. where to go to?
we can always stay here.. but what to do and stay here, in the misery but also the beauty of this world, you have no physical form to return to.. so staying here meens forever, in the place we call heaven maybe we can find answers there.. answers iwould like to know.. but I'm uncertain i will go there..
as..there is darkness in my heart..

"Ok, we've waited long enough," says Brin. "The others can catch up."
Brin walks toward the entrance of the hole. "This, my friends," he points to the hole, "Is a portal. A time hole if you will. It will not only take us back in time, but into the bloody history of another world. Keep in mind, we will not be able to go back through the same time hole we enter. Make sure you have everything you need before we go in."

Once everyone is ready, Brin leads the way into the dark tunnel. As you follow him, you begin to get dizzy. The world around you spins and liquifies before your eyes. You feel your own body turning to liquid and swirling round and round through this whirlpool that leads through the fabric of time and space. It does not hurt, but feels very strange. Everything around you begins to grow dark. Soon it is pitch-black, and all you can hear is the swishing of everything around you. Suddenly, you hear a huge, deafening POP! and everything takes form again. Feeling yourself, you can tell that you are solid, but you have not regained your vision yet. Slowly, your surroundings take form.

You are in a dimly lit stone cavern, who knows how far underground. Brin and the others are here too. You hear a nearby moaning.

"Who was that?" someone asks.

Before anyone can answer, there is a piercing, spine-chilling screech that literally paralyzes you with fear. Standing in front of you is the grossest thing imaginable: a rotting human carcass with empty eye sockets full of worms and brown skin. It stands upright and its eyes stare into yours. This is a ReDead. Previously, you only thought that they were the stuff of legends, but now here is one right in front of you. Before you can react, it grabs Brin and begins squeezing the life out of him. You've got to help him!

"whow...I think I should have opened the portal...BRIN!" Sovelis yells as he smashes his staff into the re-dead's head.

The re-dead groans and collapses. Brin drops to the cold floor, panting, trying to regain his breath after the re-dead tried to suffocate him. "It will get up after awhile," he gasps. "Since its already dead, it can't die. It would be best to move on."

After Brin regains his breath, he leads the way. Soon, you reach a room that has two passageways leading off of it. There is a door straight forward, and to the right is another tunnel. From that tunnel, more moaning of Re-Deads can be heard. Better try the door.

"Great, it's locked!" Brin groans. "Looks like we'll have to face more Re-Deads. Just as he is about to go on and fight the Re-Deads ahead, a cloud of Keeses swarm down on everyone. Brin whacks them about with his staff, and sends balls of fire shooting at them with the help of his Fire magic. But the swarming bats keep on coming.

"Some help needed!" yells Brin over the roar of the flapping wings and snapping Keese fangs.

"DIN'S FIRE!!!" Sovelis shouts as he blasts the Keese.

With the rain of Keese over with, Brin continues. Two Re-Deads approach Sovelis. "You deal with them, I'll check out what behind the locked door! FAIRY!" he yells and becomes a little fairy, small enough the fly through the keyhole of the door.

Sovelis cuts the re-deads in half with the Tempest Blade.
