Hyrule Adventures 2

The room is dimly lit. On the walls hang swords and spears. There are many pots on shelves full of daggers. On the back wall is a giant whale skeleton. And a lone man sits cross-legged in the middle of the floor, in meditation. Curious, you approach him. Suddenly he yells "Arrgggh!" and jumps on you, pinning you to the floor. He is quite old, with long white hair and many battle scars. He wears nothing but a Moblin-skin loincloth, and his eyes are fierce. But then his gaze softens, and he chuckles, and lets you go.

"Don't worry, I won't hurt you. I am Orca, one of the greatest Swordmasters in Hyrule. This is my dojo, where I teach many young warriors such as you the proper use of many weapons. I can sense that your skills are promising. Might you spar with me?"

A sign is posted on the wall. It reads:

Orca's Students

Rank: Knight

- Sovelis
Rank: Swordsman

"Alright then." Sovelis say sas he draws the Tempest Blade.

Orca unsheathes his ancient spear and gets ready to duel with Sovelis.

"Your blade wields great power, my friend," Orca says. "But power is not the way all battles are won." Without warning, Orca slashes out with his spear at Sovelis.

Sovelis grabed the spear with his mechanical hand."I know this already!" He shouts as he slashes with the Tempest Blade.

But Sovelis merely grabbed air, for Orca simply made a false swipe. Orca rolls behind Sovelis and gives him a whack in the butt.

"OW!"He yells as the blade in his left arm slides out. ''That hurt!" HE slashes with his sword, keeping his arm-blade back for defence.

Orca rolls backward as Sovelis slashes at him. He stays calm and stands his ground, waiting for Sovelis to approach.

"Ok... Try this!!! Sho peng do naru!!!" he created a few dopplegangers.

Orca waits for one of the doppelgangers to attack.

All of the 5 dopplegangers attacked.

Orca chuckles, for he sees only one Sovelis, the real one, as any with a trained mind can. He rolls past the oncoming doppelgangers, who all slam into the wall behind him, and tosses his spear at the real one.

Sovelis knocked it down with his arm-blade. "You'll have to do better than that!" he says

"Yes, I can." says Orca, and before Sovelis can react he whomps him on the head with his spare spear, then picks up his other one before Sovelis can recover.

"Ow..."...He gets up and slashes Orca!

OOC: I have to go for supper now, so I won't be replying to the event for a while.

IC: Orca jumps right over Brin, grabs him by the arm, and bends his arm downward, causing Sovelis to drop to the ground (OOC: that's what actually happens if you do that, I learned it in Karate) IC: Sovelis is now momentarily defenseless. So as not to kill Sovelis, he whacks him in the chest with the butt of his spear.

"Good job." he says. "Your courage and skills surprised me, especially because you are more proficient in magic than swordplay. You lasted quite a while, Sovelis. There are four ranks I give to people who train with me:
- Trainee
- Swordsman
- Knight
- Swordmaster

I'm going to give you the rank of Swordsman! Congratulations! Maybe if you spar with me another time you will progress in your skills."
