A man stands leaning against the fence, wiping sweat from his forehead and catching his breath. Leth obviously is not there. Did you beat him here, or are you too late?

OOC: This is for those people who were assingned to find Leth in North Castle, you can still join if you want. It is the 'A man waits for a mercinary' topic.

Hum, thought the Vilk, maybe this ranch hand knows something. The paid speaker was behind him, or rather the tree branch next to him. They both went down to ground level and the speaker asked the ranch hand,

"Do you know of a man who calls himself Leth, and/or looks like this?" he says as he holds up a miniture portrait of Leth.

The man squinted at the picture, then his face broke into a wide grin. "Oh, you'm lookin' fer him? I thinks I might have just seen som'n like that thar piceeture. Ah... let's see naow... It was two, naw, three days ago; yeh that was it. I know it were because that be tha day that m' mother n' law came over to mah house and I thought, "Why did it have to be terday?" And so I's went to my wife and I sez, "Why did that thar woman have to come awn a perty day like this? That thar be a ruinin' of a perfectly gud day." And then she sez, (my wife bien' the speaker) sez that it could have been worse. So now of course I was thinkin' 'ow could th' day get any worser? So I asks her that thar qwestion. And she says that her cousin could have come. (that bien' my wife's father's brother's uncle's daughter, of course,) and then I...

Worru looked from the trees, seeing the cloaked man, standing next to a blathering idiot, and thought to himself, You know, hiding in the trees is cooler than it looks.

Vilk saw the man out of the corner of his eyes, and he threw a dagger at him, bearly missing Worru, but Worru could tell it was a warning, "Bokoblins," said the paid man, ,"please continue."

"Well, to git to tha point, so ter speak, I saw him two days ago. He come up to me and he sez, very politely, "Excuse me, mister, can I git a wee bit o' sleep?" He didn't say it quite that thar way, if you get me meanin', but I believe you get the idea. So he stayed a night, and left the next mornin', right after dawn. Said he was headed up to tantari desert, or somewheres up there. That help any?"

"A lot," said the paid man,"thank you." Then, they left.

Worru was still petrified. The dagger had hit him, but only enough to cut off the left side of his hair, and make a chip on his ear. That guy seems eriely familliar...

The man squinted off into the tree, then left, to pursue more work.
