Quest: Supplying the Carpenters

<img src="images/npcs/mutoh.gif" align="right">The Boss Carpenter grumbles loudly to himself as he watches his lay-about employees lazily build the framework for an new building.

You ask him what the matter is, and he replies huffily, "Gar, my blasted workers are undersupplied and they're making up for it by working twice as slow! I need some Deku Wood and some Iron Ore to finish the job, about 5 of each. But good luck finding them. If you can get my one of each of the supplies I'll pay you generously."

You say finding them is difficult? Where might these resources be? With a little guidence from you and some help from fellow knights, I will get what you need.

The Carpenter sneers, "well Deku Wood can be found in the Deku Woods, that's the easy part. Iron Ore, however, is only found in the caves of the Laruto Falls, west of Saria Town. That will be the difficult one to find.

"If only the Gorons would finish mining that new Ore Vein in the North Forest. Then we wouldn't need to depend on the Laruto Iron."

"Hmmm well sir, I would be more then happy to help you find some Deku Wood and Iron Ore for you. Of course, it would be most wise if more then just the two of us went."

Pende heard the conversation and was tempeted to just crazaly hop over, but restrained himself. he calmely walked, with his long neck swaying from side to side.

"How about three? I'll gladly help."

Mutoh chuckles, "Ha! You are all getting ahead of yourselves. This mission won't be much more difficult than going to the grocery store. Now hop to it! What am I paying you for? Laying about?!"

Darilan chuckles. "I suppose that was a stupid assumption on our part." He looks to Rugger and Pende. "Right guys? We were sitting here thinking we were walking into the jaws of death... all for Deku wood. If Hyrule ever gets like that... we are doomed. Ha ha!"

Rugger's face had a small smile, the first time he smiled in what seemed like a long time.

"Very good point my friend. Nevertheless, perhaps we should wait for more volunteers to help. The more the merrier."

Moving across the square, Arco stops where the small trio gathered around the grumpy-looking man. There is a trace of a nostalgic smile.

Mmm. Sounds like I'll have to make a trip back to Laruto for this one. Guess it wouldn't hurt to stop at the Thicket on the way back, either. Sounds like a good start on my world-experiences.

His smiles disipates as he thinks. He glances at the bearded man and answers, "I'd like to help, if possible."

"Which way is Laruto Falls?"

"Which way is Laruto Falls?"

"I belive it is west of Saria town. Quite a ways, away from here."

"If only the Gorons would finish mining that new Ore Vein in the North Forest. Then we wouldn't need to depend on the Laruto Iron."

"Say Boss, about the Gorons in the forest. is there anyone we can see about speeding up their work?"

Rugger approaches the carpenter and throws a pile of Deku Wood in front of him. Rugger clearly did not like the disresepect that the carpenter gave him and the others and Rugger would not show any in return.

"Here is some Deku Wood. Once I find some Iron Ore I will bring it too you. But do not expect me to make it a priority of it due to your attitude."

Leon walks up to the man and the group,and then says,"I am in.Altough I was looking for something better to do,I suppose I'll do this first.Besides,I could use this to get used to long-distance walking,anyway."while thinking,This is gonna take hours.

Pende returned carrying some deku wood.

"Well, I finished the easy part."

Pende gives the wood to the grumpy carpenter.

"I'll just go off to do the hard part and bring you the ore."

Hiking back,Leon yells triumphiantly,"I found the wood!",and drops a stash of young but hard and particularly strong Deku Sapling wood.

"Now for the hard part,"the HYlian said grimly as he runs off,sweaty and huffing.
