~Lance rode cautiosly along the edge of a small cliff. Below one could see a gerudo encampment, the sheikah's target. He dismounted, and looked over at Kasei, and motioned for him to dismount. It was time to kill some gerudo. He jumped down the cliff face, landing in the sand, 5 feet below where his horse stood.

He drew out his golden rapier, and started to plan out how the two hunters were going to get into the encampment. He was starting to think that it would be better just to charge in, and then rush out with the key. From the looks of things there were only around 13 gerudo. Five of them were gaurding the perimeter of the camp, and the others worked in the middle. It seemed as if they were preparing to break camp, and leave the outpost. The perfect oppurtunity. Lance looked over at Kasei, and asked for his opinion on the subject. He just hoped that the mercenary wouldn't do anything.... rash.~

" I know, lets just set off...a fire...by accident...and let he flames sort it out. I can then absorb the flames, and snatch the key..." kasei said, as he drops down, it had been a long ride through not one, but wo deserts, and a forest, his rhump hurt, and he was in a bad mood, he got the feeling that the were being watched, witched added to paranoya...

~The sheikah listened to his companion's plan with a slight frown on his face. It was effective, yes, but rather lacking in finesse. He gave a slight nod, and slowly began to move forward. He didn't like fire much, but it would work well at creating chaos, and the retrival of the key. He also wasn't sure about how effective it would be at this far range.

"Go ahead, but be careful. Aim for that tent over their."

He pointed towards a tent off to the side. It seemed to be one of more importance, and there was a better chance that that tent would house the key. Who knew how things would play out though. Lance decided to leave it to the mercenary... for now.~

" kay, got it..." kasei trailed off, then raised a hand...palm up, and fired a great ball of flames, strait at the tent.. within minuets, the tent would be burned to nothing...just fo fun, kasei creaed a barrier of flames around the tent, so noon but he could get through...

~The sheikah looked on with a frown. The many gerudo suddenly turned their attention towards the tent, and many were already looking around for the cause. Lance thought that at least the fire would destroy the camp, even if they got attacked by the gerudo.

But then, his worries increased tenfold. Water suddenly burst from the tent flap, and then shot everywhere, dousing the flames. Damn, they have a mage. He held his sword at the ready, waiting to see what would happen, but he didn't have anytime for leisure. Three of the gaurds had spotted the two attackers, and were already closing in.

Lance looked from side to side at the enclosing gerudo, and took a step to the right, while muttering a quick plan to Kasei. "I'll take the right, you take the left, don't attack until they do, and then kill them quickly."~

"got it." kasei muttered, then stood up, as he was crouching, and waited, daggers in hand, for his apponent to move, the mercinary was already planning a counter...a parry blow that would easily defeat the gerudo. hint: it involved flaming daggers....and pain, lots of pain...

~The gerudo had effectively surrounded the pair. On gaurd on the left, one on the right, and one in front. All of them carried long spears, with red cloth dangling from the juncture of the shaft and blade.

The two on the sides moved together, attacking lightening fast. On Lance's side the gerudo launched a powerful thrust forward with his spear. The sheikah knew that he coudln't simply dodge the attack because that would cause Kasei to be impaled. He was determined to hold the right side.

The sheikah then showed why he was chosen to accompany the mercenary. He wasn't just a fopish rich man who tried to look like a hylian. He slid forward, just past the approaching blade, and grabbed the top of the shaft with his left hand. Lance yanked it back, past Kasei, pulling the gaurd forward.

Using this oppurtunity to his advantage, his rapier shot forward, but midway through this finishing strike, he saw a flash out of the side of his vision. The other sheikah who hadn't attack was coming to his companion's aid. Not wanting to be caught between them, he pushed the shaft of the spear, sending the closer gaurd flying backwards, and set up his defences against the encoming enemy.

The gerudo facing Kasei had made a more cautios approach then the one Lance had dealt with. He swiped forward in a long arc with his spear, trying to keep the mercenary at a distance and still do some damage. While he attack with his spear, he drew a curved long sword with his left hand from a sheath at his waist. He held the blade at the ready for any counter attack that Kasei might throw his way.~

kasei easily dodged the attack, grabbing the spear with his left hand as his copanion had done, and attempted to wench it out of his opponents hands, using unnatural demon streangth...the mercinary then lit a fireball in shis free hand. and tossed it at the gerudo.." ha! is that all you can do?!?"

~The attacking gerudo did get pulled forward, but he didn't let the shaft slip out of his hands. Instead he used the momentum to increase the power of his next attack. He made a powerful overhead chop with his sword, aiming at Kasei's shoulder so he would have trouble using the fire attack. The gerudo was a bit wary of getting in at such close range, but decided to take the chance.

Lance however was even considering the risk of a close range attack. He leapt forward, and landed between the two gerudo that were attacking him. This would make it difficult for them to predict exactly which one he was going to attack. The sheikah made his choice in an instant, diving at the gaurd that had intervened before.

He came in low, making a long uppercut with his sword. The gerudo slammed his blade downwards, striking the incoming rapier, but got a long cut along his thigh before he could completely force the attack back.

The other gerudo saw an oppurtuntiy at that moment. With Lance off the side, he thrust his spear at Kasei's back. Maybe with a two pronged attack, they would be able to take the mercenary down.~l

and instead of trying to block, the mercinary decides to dodge the attack entirely. he jumps, into the air, and does a few backflips, landing himself next to lance...them ercinary then throws a fireball at his gerudo enemy. the shiekah warrior then launches five arrows at his two apponents...

~The gerudo watched in surprise as the mercenary jumped up and backwards through the air. The gerudo attack from behind dropped down, and could feel the heat of the fireball searing over his head. This may have seen like a desperate dodge, but it had results: the attack was moving right towards Lance.

The sheikah wasn't too worried about the attack, but was annoyed because he would have to assume a defensive position, and wouldn't have time to attack the gerudo again before they struck. He brought his rapier down in an arc, and the blue gem on the gaurd of the gold blade began to glow. As it cut through the flames, they dissapated into nothingness.

Lance smiled as he felt the edge of the rapier rend the magical energies. The rapier was akin to a similar blade called a mage masher. It drained magical energies, and was a useful gaurd against spells.

The gerudo he had just cut wasn't about to sit around, but instead immediately launched an attack, slicing at the sheikah's back with the spear blade. Lance spun around, and caught the shaft of the spear with his rapier, and forced it backwards. Like he predicted, he didn't have time to counter or launch an attack of his own.

The remaining gerudo was in quite a predicament. As the arrows soared towards him, he went into a side roll, coming up with his spear raised. He thrust the weapon forward at Kasei in return, hoping to stop any further attacks, and let his comerads get a strike.~

Then, suddenly, kasei vanished! in his place was phantom ganon, the demon of chaos! surrounding him were four moblins, tall, piglike beasts! "KILL these gerudo traitors!" phantom ganon says to the moblins, who spin their sears to block the oncming attacks, then bing their spears up to their aponents necks. Phantom ganon then points his sword to the sky, and it grows dark with clouds, lightning rains down fro those clouds, and srikes at each of the gerudo, twice at each! the demon then points his sword at the surviving gerudo, and lightning flies out of it, at the desert warriors.

Kasei appears outside of the battle, near the campsite, he wreaks havoc by throwing fire at the tents, setting them most definitly on fire, and probobly killing all in them, unless that mage can put them all out in time! The rebel flame roars with dark laughter...and turns to the battle..."you will pay for what you attempted to do to me!" the mercinary then launches a few fieballs at the gerudo near lance, hopefully killing them...

~The flames filled the surroundings with nearly unbearable heat. Lance winced, but still had to deal with the gerudo attacking him. The fire attack would definitely alert the gerudo to their presence, but hopefully they would all be dead.

He brought up his blade to block the incoming attack, but then a fire ball flew out of no where (well, Kasei's direction), and flung the gerudo gaurd to the side. The sheikah wasn't about to chase after him, but looked carefully for anyone who tried to escape the flames.

But no one came. It was strange that no one tried to run, but then Lance got his answer. A huge shockwave of magical energy burst from the camp, sending the sheikah falling to his feet. The sheer force of the blast had easily exstinguished the fires. Lance carefully got to his feet, and surveyed what was left of the camp.

The tents had burn marks, but mostly, the tough leather canvas had survived. It looked a little worse for ware, but it seemed like even the hellish inferno hadn't manage to completely destroy the gerudo. I guess that's to be expected. We came here knowing it wasn't going to be THAT easy.

He began to move forward, and start the search for the key, steathily moving from tent to tent, killing what ever resistance came as he went. The sheikah was sure that some more difficult obstacle would arise, but hoped the combined power of the mercenary and himself would beable to overcome what got in their way.

Unfortunately the obstacle came more quickly then he expected. The flap of the larger tent was flung open, and a gerudo strode out. He had a red tunic on, similar, but different then the wear of the other gerudo. It seemed that he was the leader, or the mage..... or both.

He didn't seem to be that special, expect for one stand out feature. His right arm was covered with a large bronze piece of armor, that streched from shoulder to hand. Just below the shoulder was a large red gem incrusted in the metal, that was suffused with a red glow.

Lance held his rapier a little firmer, and moved forward, preparing for the battle that was to come.~

when kasei was thrown down, he cursed loudluy, then got up, looking for the sight of where the wave came from..he follows lance into the camp, slitting the knecks of all he encountered...and wehen he saw the man, he looked in shock, first at the fact that there was a male gerudo, and second of his armor..thae mercinary then ushered phantom ganon to attack, witch the phantiom in turn gave the order to the moblins, the pig-beasts rushed forward, spears held aloft...ready to take the gerudo's life...

(OOC: Just to straighten this up before hand, let the male gerudo thing slide for now. Things aren't always as they appear (trying not to make this too obvious...)

I just relized I've been using he to descibe the guards the entire time. Oh well, I was still imagining them as females. Maybe I'm gender confused.)

~The man with the armored arm looked over at the rushing evil creatures, a frown crossed over his face. The gerudo were far from evil, though they were a little chaotic. The only one that had turned them towards dark usuage was ganondorf, whose image was mirrored by the shadowy creature before him. One could imagine he wasn't happy.

He turned to the side so his armored half was facing the attackers, and lifted his arm. The implanted gem pulsed a fierce crimson, and a tiny ball of flame appeared in his hand. A smiled crossed the armored man's face and suddenly the ball exploded. The flames shot outwards, and formed the blade, hilt and guard of a giant flaming broadsword. He swept it around in his armored hand, and then pointed it towards the oncoming moblins and their phantom leader. He was ready.

Lance looked over at the action and winced. That behemoth would easily tear apart the army and the phantom. Hell, he might end up killing us. He knew he was going to have to be smart, and was already formulating a plan. He would wait until the battle at hand cleared up so he would have a fight on even ground, and then approach. Steathily of course.~
