"What a show we've had the honor of seeing today!" Tarlen cries out above the din of the crowd, causing them to only shout all the louder. "So far we've taken in three incredible battles, three amazing victories, and three crushing defeats. But this next fight promises to be like no other!" With those words, the applause and cheering becomes almost deafening.

"And so without further ado, allow me to introduce the next two competitors." Waving his arm to the left, the gaze of the crowd moves over to look upon the crimson clothed figure of "Kasei D. Gobi, the Rebel Flame!" And then his right arm begins flapping toward the Scribe walking forward from that direction. "And his opponent, Orpheous!

"Gentlemen, you may start when ready!" Tarlen cries as he soars skyward once again.

Kasei was in the stands when his name was called out, and a grin formed on his face when it did. The roar of aplause was not for Kasei, some backwater country mericnary who is not well know, but for orpheous, his opponent. Kasei had a chance to see orpheou's tactics in the woods earlier in the week, but most of his abilities still remained a mystery. Cautiously, Kasei worked his way out of the crowd, and to the arena. The mercinary stood to his full hight the moment he was in the arena, a truly amazing display, seeing as how tall he was. The Rebel flame nods his head to his opponent the minuet he appears, then pulls out his sword and gets into a fighting stance ,ready for anything, and preparing to dodge. [dodge check]

"Hm, this will truly be an interesting fight," whispered Dagger to Wasp.

Wasp responded,"You got that right, a scribe who boasts his inkweaving talent, and a mercenary nobody's heard of, a good fight indeed."

Orpheous looked into the crowd. He noticed many familiar faces. Valentine, Snowflake, Michael, Nichole, Zaphoneous, Bou, Simon, Matt, he could keep looking for those smiling faces, however, he had not the time for that. The one person who he didn't notice was Silna. However, he knew she was rooting for him, where ever she was.

Orpheous voided his mind, cleared it of all thoughts. He then blocked it from Kasei, you can never know when your facing a telepathic mercenary, even if in this case it would be cheating. He decided he would try to inkweave something, and he muttered a few words under his breath. However, even though he had been saving his magic for this fight, somebody must have drugged him and prevented him from using his inkmagic. Curse them.

Orpheous stayed clear of all emotions, as to not give away his tactic. Then, an orb formed in his hand, slowly, but surely. He had learned a lot from Alpha. Elemental Burst is a truly effective move. As it neared completion one could tell it was a light style element burst, and finally, Orpheous released it at Kasei, screaming, "Element Burst- Light."

STR - 3; DEF - 12; AGI - 1; INT - 5; SPI - 3; SPL - 36; HP - 23

IC: Kasei begin twisting left and right as he tries to initiate a Dodge Check and prepare himself for whatever Orpheous might throw at him. However, the Sheikah's already keen senses of observation prove to just barely not be up to the task of passing the check (10+1+8[Roll+INT+AGI] vs. 20).

Then Orpheous' Elemental Burst comes flying at the Sheikah, the power of elemental weaknesses having been well learned from the inkweaver's observations of Alpha and Saber's fight. The orb of light flashes forth from Orph's hands, but even though his Dodge Check has failed Kasei still manages to avoid the full brunt of the magical strike (14+1[Roll+SPI] vs. 15), and only takes half damage. Still, this does come to a rather painful loss of 10 HP.

Kasei: 31 HP, 15 SPL
Orpheous: 23 HP, 30 SPL

Darn, I got overconfident, and I payed the price for it! Kasei thought to himself. Regardless, this is a fight I can definitelly win if I focus, what will his next move be? Kasei then got out of the crouch he was in from jumping, and ran at orpheous, zigzaging all the way. When he got within range, Kasei performede a slicing motion with his right arm, aiming his scimitar for Orpheous' head. There! Theres no way he can block this unless he's ecceptionally fast, witch he proved he wasn't in the woods. Kasei thought, just as his blade got close to Orph's head.

Kasei's scimitar slashes into the air, darting straight towards Orpheous' form. The blade's sharp blade shimmers brightly in the sunlight...and might be part of the reason that the Scribe is able to see it coming and dodge it (1+8[Roll+AGI] vs. 12+1[DEF+AGI]). "Oh my!" Tarlen shouts. "Seems like the Rebel Flame just can't get a break!"

Kasei: 31 HP, 15 SPL
Orpheous: 23 HP, 30 SPL

Orpheous barely dodges the blade. While his head is turned he caught a glimpse of those eyes. Those eyes that took him by surprise, the night she came into his life. When there was moonlight..... Goddesses, he needed to get those RENT lyrics out of his head. He shook his head as an act of getting it out. "I almost for got," he called out to Kasei, "good luck." However, still, nothing good stop the memory. Last night had been their first kiss(what a weird word, from where did that word originate). He shook his head again, and voided his face and emotions again, blocking his mind. The orb formed in his hand again. He sapped light into his hands. Soon, it was visible, and it was still growing.

He cried out once more, "Elemental Burst-Light," releasing the very manifest of light at Kasei.

Kasei looked right at the energy of light flying in his direction, and knew he wouldn't survive a direct attack, so he jumped to his left, attempting to dodge it, al;l the while thinking. If I hadn't attacked like I did, I wouldn't be in this position. I'm not allowed to use my strongest techniques here, nor do I feel like pummeling Orph again.

Orpheous' Light Elemental Burst shines forth once again, this time at point blank range with the Sheikah's form. The blast hits him dead on (5+1[Roll+SPI]), dealing a great deal of damage not only because it would normally do so, but because the magic has been crafted to be the element against which the Rebel Flame is weakest against. Kasei loses a large chunk of his remaining health, dropping him down to an incredibly weakened state.

Kasei: 8 HP, 15 SPL
Orpheous: 23 HP, 24 SPL

Thats it, I can't go on much longer, and if I do, i'll be forced to reveal myself. Kasei thought, slowly and painfully getting up. When he was finally on his feet, he glared at Orpheous. "You ae quitew a good opponent, Much better than when you were in the woods. I congradulate you, but it's over." Kasei states, then raises his hand, apparently getting ready for an attack, but when he calls out, it isn't a spell, it is a surrender. "I give up, I'de cirtainly lose at this rate, so there's no point in trying." Kasei announced, wondering if it was even possible to surrender.

"Thank you, Kasei," said Orpheous, "for admiring my talent. I accept your surrender." Well that was a simple fight, will they all be this easy? No, it shall indeed get harder. Orpheous held out his hand for Kasei to shake it. Dang it, if he was right, next he would be facing Dogura. How could he win?

Shouts of joy could easily be heard from Orpheous' friends(such as "You go, Orph" and "That is my boy friend" the latter from Silna only).

"We'll take them both," said Wasp.

"Agreed," replied Dagger.

Tarlen blinks in surprise as Kasei offers up his surrender, waiting a few moments and replaying the words in his head to assure himself that he had not heard them wrong. As Orpheous accepts it, he shrugs in surprise; well, at least this offered proof that his ears were still working fine. "Well then...I suppose that the winner of this match is Orpheous, having been made victorious by forfeit rather than knock-out," he calls out to the crowd.

After a few moments of wondrous silence at the unexpected announcement, the cheering begins once again.

"Oh, I wish that bird would shut up!" Kasei says, then notices Orpheous holding out his hand. At least he's a good sport, heh, I like this guy. Kasei thought to himself, then slowly walked over to shake Orph's hand, smiling broadly for his freind's victory. "You realize, if you hadn't managed to pull that second spell off, you would have lost." Kasei wispered to Orph. The rebel flame then cast a healing spell on himself, witch cured a majority of his injuries. The mercinary then teleported back to his seat in the crowd, ready for the next match. "Welcome back, Kasei." Sosei said, pleased that the mercinary hadn't revealed his true form. The rebel flame turned his attention to the arena, and the next battle...

Silna pushed Matt back to her seat, while see moved to the right of Simon. Orpheous nodded at Kasei remark about the spell. He walked back to his seat with a smile on his face. Right before he turned around to sit in his seat, Silna kissed him on the lips for perhaps 5 seconds. He blinked a few times, confused and stunned, as he sat down.
