OOC: This takes place in the past, slightly after the party entered the cave, it's meant to lead up to a fruition at a later point, I'm using it to avoid disrupting the main action.
IC: A lone Zora looks around wearily. How long had he been in these hills? Days, weeks? He really didn't know, but it had taken him so long to find this darn entrance, that he seemed to have forgotten what water looked like. This was, of course, an exaggeration, but he didn't remember how long. Only the why. He had to prevent the injustice.
Making his way toward the base of the cave, his pace quickens. He didn't know how much of a head start the party had, but he had to stop them. That's why he had camped in these hills. He was headed to protect the spider in the first place, but the ridiculous guard wouldn't let him enter, at his own peril. There was no reason to stop him, he knew what he was doing, that's why he headed in the first place.
But now that the guards had moved from his path, he was on a mission, if only he had noticed sooner. He had to make it before they slayed it. His pace quickened yet again, almost to a sprint at this point, charging headlong toward the fray.
