The forest.
A magnificent display of natural beauty and wonder. It is impossible to come here, to the northern forest, and not stare in awe at the natural way of the land. The trees were gigantic, beautiful pillars that reached towards the heavens. Their canopy was a large painting, every leaf bringing a grand new image to the eye. The shrubs that adorned the forest floor were like clouds on earth. This was the perfect place for a peaceful walk. When here, one would almost forget about the rest of the world, almost nothing can ruin such beauty at it’s finest.
Almost.
The grass, witch was normally a bright shade of green, had now withered away into a charred black, their life drained away as the man stepped past. A similar affect was evident on the great trees, they were dying. The small animals that lived within the woods ran far as they could, trying to get away from the man that brings death. Not all made it, not all lived.
He limped, as his right leg had suffered a great injury. His clothes were battered and torn. He had been in a battle.
His left arm was broken, it’s wood-like composition shattered. No blood flowed from it, no crimson tears escaped his body. His shoulders once held magnificent wings, they were now reduced to shattered stubs. Half of his wooden face was cracked and falling off.
No blood.
Instead, a black, evil aura seemed to pour out of this man’s body, draining away the life around him, killing the beauty that was the forest. It was unpleasant, and made the hairs on the back of one’s neck stand on end. The being was evil beyond evil, but he was also injured beyond recovery. These scars would mark him for the rest of his false life.
He lifted his head, and thought for a second.
Sovelis. He remembered, he can help me. He reasoned, believing that his old friend would indeed help him in his time of need.
The false Kasei changed course, and began limping towards Rauru Town, the home of the tempest. He raised his hand, and signaled. Several Wolfos appeared in front of him, and charged ahead to deal with any possible threats.
Now was the time for a reunion.
