OOC: This is a narrative, no posting please

IC: In the midst of the Deku Woods stood a being not too peculiar for the area--A Deku. It seemed fairly nondescripit in appearance, but then again, what Deku Scrub did? Besides the red velvet armband tied around its wrist, it was just like the typical Scrub, no different in appearance than the citizens of the forest. However, there was a fairly peculiar sight beside him--A massive Goron, with a large boulder melded into his back. They had just met, and they made an odd pair. However, they appeared to be conversing. At least, the Deku was talking while the Goron just soaked it all in.

"Look, that's the job. I don't care what they think of you, your job is to support them. There's nothing in the contract about them supporting you." The deku pleaded, his eyes squinted pleadingly as he gazed up at the creature five times his size.

"But...why help those who hate us?" The Goron replied, the perplexity in his voice only--His face remained as empty as usual.

"Because that's our job. We don't have a choice beyond who to work for. Once we've taken a job, we're stuck to it. Otherwise we could be easily disposed of."

"..."

"Look, you don't even have to make contact with them. Just keep an eye on what they're doing, and if you have an opportunity to assist, do so. They ask nothing more, and we can't give any less for fear of violating the contract."

"...Alright."

"Good. Now get you gone, and come back with a full wallet and some new weapons, eh? You'll have plenty of targets to loot, it seems."

"I will."

"Good boy."

And with that, they parted, not a word, or even a meaningful glance, between them before they disappeared into the undergrowth.
