The weather had finally begun to warm up in Hyrule, with the cold gales of winter giving way to the cool breaze of a day before spring. Underneath one of the still baren trees, sat somone wrapped in a dark, hooded cloak. Doors into the unknown... Wars between light and dark... and more powerful enemies than I can count on both hands... What have I gotten myself into?
The wind blew back this stranger's hood, ruffling his shaggy blonde hair gently in its whispy breath. Here sat one of the Dark Army's generals... Sovelis Liadon. A book was clutched in his steel, left hand, unopened and unread due to the problems bothering the Tempest in his mind. I can either do something to stop all this madness, or continue on this spiraling path into the clutches of darkness... but what cna I do alone? No one would trust me if I surendered myelf to the Royal Guards... I would only be forced to keep them from trying to executing me as a traitor. If not the Guards, then any of the others woulf fight me or try to kill me... Soveis sighed deeply, and stared up into the sky, watching the fluffy, white clouds drift by. Or I could take Arrika and dissapear... like a cloud drifting in the sky...

Kayla walked through the finally unfrozen ground with a smile on her face. (OoC: I really can't say that the ground is unfrozen here...) She came to a stop when she saw Sovelis.
"Well, I'll be damned," Cathy commented. She picked up a stone and was about to chuck it at Sovelis to get his attention-and maybe give him a big bruise on the temple- but Kayla took the rock from her hand. "Hey! I was going to use that."
Kayla dropped the rock and rolled her eyes. "Come on, let's go see what he's up to." Cathy scuffed a little bit at this comment. "Aw, come on." Cathy glared at her. The tall zora let out a small sigh.
"Ok, but I still don't trust the guy," Cathy said, following after Kayla as she started walking before Cathy even finished.
"Sovelis, hey, is everything ok?" Kayla questioned.

OoC: Yup, unfrozen and everything.

Sovelis looked up, not expecting anyone to have found him out here near the North-South pass, since it was still closed and no one bothered to come out here much. "Kayla?" he spoke with a crackling voice, as if he had not drank anything for a while. "It is you, Kayla." Sovelis stood up on shaky legs, and dusted himself. "You both know that I'm not doing so good... And that neither of you should even be seen with me."
The Tempest smiled at the shorter girl from Kito Village. "Its been a while though... I'd be lying if I said that I'm not glad to see both of you. And what does the Princess of Kito Village want with somone as dispicable and vile such as myself?"

"Eh? What's with the formatity?" Kayla questioned. She placed one hand on her hip and frowned. With her other hand she wagged her index finger at Sovelis, like she was scorning a little kid. "You do remember that I don't like to be called princess, don't you?"
"Oh sure, like he's the kind of guy to remember something like that," Cathy grumbled. She glared at Sovelis. "What I would like to know is what you are doing out here? Shouldn't you be somewhere else?"

"I remember. I just did it to mess with you, Kayla." Sovelis said, stretching and then plopping back down where he had been sitting. " And to answer your question Cathy? No. really don't have anything else I should be doing right now, and no where else I need to be. If I'm needed somewhere, then I'll be found." he smiled, and cracked open his book.
"But why are you two just wandering around, alone and unprotected out here? You do realize that the entire country is at war... and that I'm one of the Generals in the Dark Army? I might just go all psycho crazy and kill you both where your standing... without even moving an inch."

"Kill us? You wouldn't really do that!. . . Would you?" Kayla questioned. She felt Cathy go rigid next to her. She glanced over at her friend to see one of her hands going to grip her sword.
"Sovelis, you are one twisted guy, if you really want to kill us, then why don't you?" Cathy sneered. "If you're able to kill us without moving an inch, then why don't you?" Her glare intensified.
"Cathy," Kayla muttered with surprise and a slight warning. Her friend looked over at her with the hatred that was suppose to be for Sovelis, and then adverted her gaze back to Sovelis.

"Well... technically I wouldn't move an inch... but I'd still move." Sovelis said, closing his book and resting his hands on top of it. "But there really isn't a reason to kill either one of you. So I won't as long as you both stay out of the way." he spoke coldly now, his tone even and his eyes looking up at Kayla. "I don't want to kill you anyways. I'll only kill someone if I have to. Thats it. This is war, but I'm not going to go around killing just because I want to."
Sovelis sighed and closed his eyes, his blank expression now one that showed that he was thinking. "Does the person choose the path, or the path choose the person?"

The two girls were silent. Cathy plopped down on the ground and started pulling grass out of muddy ground with a frown on her face. Kayla still stood. The wind ruffled her pure white skirt and the edges of her shirt. Her hair blew into her face and she placed the strands behind her ear, muttering to her self about having to need her hairties again.
"You know," Cathy said, the first one to break the silence, "it took me almost a month to find Kayla. She always goes off and hides in the forest. I always find myself cursing under my breath. Not many people would kill her if they wanted to, but with me, no one is hesitant. I'm ruthless, mean, and I'm not the type of person to be on someone's The People I Shouldn't Kill list." Cathy looked up at Sovelis. "Someone can choose where they go in life, but sometimes they need to be led to where they are trying to go."
Kayla frowned and rubbed her head. "Aw, Cath', what was that all about? It isn't like you to talk like that." Cathy glanced up at Kayla and let out a small chuckle.
