The Phoenix Effect

It had been an hour since his apparent death, and already the Reborn Tempest was at work. After he had cleaned off the red slime and found some clothes, Sovelis was already back in the lab gathering several things into a satchel. "A red stone... backup scrolls... A Seridium Crystal... " the now 6 year old immortal placed his things in the bag and slung it across his shoulder and walked out into the hallway silently. Seth and Arrika might think that I died earlier... perhaps I should find them first?
He felt out with his mind, trying to find his students. But Sovelis was too weak so soon after his imitation of the Phoenix.. his spirit still clinging loosely to this immature physical form. "Dammit... I have to hurry... No time to spare...." The short little Tempest ran down the hallway and managed to make it to the Living Room before he had to sit down to rest, out of breath and worn out already...[/i]

"AAAGHHHHH!!!"
A swirling black vortex appeared at the other side of the room, hurling out a scared Arrika and a calm Seth. Arrika tumbled and crashed loudly into a sofa, holding her head and cursing. Seth landed much more gracefully, and as the portal zipped itself and closed a shaggy-haired hellcat slipped out.
"Seth, I thought you said it was going to make invisible-!" Arrika began, still lying curled on the ground and nursing her aching head.
"-I didn't say anything-!" Seth countered, but his eyes flicked towards Sovelis, noticing him for the first time. "...."
"What are you staring at?" Arrika said harshly, forcing herself to sit up, and found herself staring right into a pair of familiar green eyes. "..."
"Told you he didn't die..." Seth mumbled smugly.

"A-Arrika..." The miniature Sovelis jumped at her and hugged tightly. "I underestimated Gobi... severely..." He let go and stepped back silently. "We have to move quickly though... This body isn't able to hold my power or more than a few days... We have to get my body back and fix it before I die again..."
H walked to the door slowly and slumped over in exhaustion.

"Wait! We left your body there in the square where he crushed you," Arrika said, trying to get over the shock of the reborn Sovelis. "It's kinda... messy, though."
"Like really messy," said Seth. "I'm pretty sure your brains are gonna make a permanent stain on the ground and-"
"-What do you want me to do?" Arrika cut him off, the image of the Tempest's corpse still fresh in her mind.
"You? Don't you mean us?"
"I mean every word I say, so no. I think it was pretty clear I didn't mean us."
Seth chuckled. "Are you still mad?"
"Well I don't know, you just tried to kill me!"
"What happens if you die again?" Seth asked Sovelis instead, knowing that their argument would get no where. "How was it you survived in the first place?'

He stood back up weakly, holding his head with one hand. "I need to get back there as fast as we can... the soner we get my body back here and in the lab, the better..." Sovelis, even in this seemingly new body, looked and sounded like he was pushing his limits just standing there. "W-was it as bad as I think it was? It felt... it felt like he crushed my head in his hand." The 'he' that the Tempest was refering to was Jormund Gobi, the one that had forced Sovelis to use his last trump card.
"I'll tell you everything on the way there... We can't waste any time. Every second is precious. Lets get going Arrika." He reached up and opened the door, struggling with it due to his now miniature status.

"Erm... do you want me to carry you or something? We might go a little bit faster," Arrika said uncertainly, picking up the small Tempest. "And... he kinda did. Crush your head, I mean. I... I really thought you were gone," she said softly. "Don't scare me like that ever again."
Despite not being addressed Seth followed them anyway, ignoring the glares the Sheikah thief gave him.
"Are you sure we should go back right away? What if Jormund's still there? If you're killed again in this body, you're not going to come back."
