Less than an hour ago, the sun had set in the west. Still, already, monsters were prowling the fields of Hyrule, looking for prey. Among them, however, was a particularly dangerous figure; that of the Servant of Armaggeddon, Kasei.
He walked the side of the lake searching for someone to take out his wrath on. Anyone would do, really, even someone unexpected, still, his fists clenced at the thought of possibly battleing one adversary in particular; Nogare.
The Demon man let his hands rest on the pummel of the daggers that were sheathed at his waist, Diablo, the poisoned daggers of death. He knew, deep down, that the twin blades were also eager to face off again against Belegcam, Nogare's staff.
Kasei grinned in the night, and spat a small stream of fire at the lake, marveling as the flames danced across the water.
As he went further and further south, the shiekah noticed a familiar chill in the air, and a familiar smell, that of the one he so dearly craved to destroy. His smile turned into a malicious grin, a mix between hatred and glee. "Show yourself . . . Son of Grayblade . . . " He called into the night.
OOC: Yes, this is the alternate timeline, so, unless you have a character from there, don't post, this is between me and nogare

OOC: ^_^ This is exciting! Just like old times.
IC:

The dark city of North Castle was silent. But there was a feeling of dread in the air - coming from the east. Something that made his heart beat faster. It felt as if the fires of Death Mountain were present, prepared to explode from beneath the very city itself. He knew that he was the only one who could face it.
Was it a trap? A trigger for an ambush to defeat the Legend? He hated the thought, but knew as well as the Exiles did that it would take more than a few Aquamentus to defeat him. He would see what danger awaited him, and if it was so bad, he could call for help - the castle wasn't far.
But what lingered in the still of night as beyond the white city walls was the last thing he wanted to face... Worse than the horrible armies of the Exiles. One who had cost him so much - who smothered his life, who took all he had. It would not be a battle of strength or skill, little did he expect - it would be a battle of emotion.
He stepped outside, and he began calculating the atmosphere. Yes, the air was smoky, but he could feel no fire. It was not warm. He needed to focus to feel the heat, it was like it was hardly there. He heard the wind against his ear, but otherwise the night was mute. The sky held a new moon, providing no light for him to see further surroundings. It was so vaguely different from what it normally was, he was surprised that HE noticed it. The taste in the air was only of the night, though warm as the day.
Then he sensed it, and when he looked down it was confirmed. Light footprints passing to the south. Minutes old. There was no denying it - it was the Rebel Flame himself.
Suddenly on guard, his spear raised, he stealthily guiled his way after the tracks. Then there he was, only his red garb flowing against his own heat revealing his presence. The Sheikah could sure be silent, so hidden. Even the son of Greyblade took a moment to find him. He hid behind a rock, and slipped from rock to rock to follow him. He was way too close to the castle to let pass, despite his wish to leave. The Rebel Flame was worthy of the name 'rival' for good reason. Noticing he was still aglow, he let the shadows consume his appearance, hiding him like a thief.
But the Sheikah already knew he was there. "Show yourself... son of Grayblade."

He didn't wait for another moment. Not for a chance to exchange a few words before they fought once again, like they had so many times before. He needed to finish him, so that he would not have to be spoken to by a bladed tongue.
"KASEI!" He ran up the boulder he was behind, and leaped down, straight at his arch rival, his weapon held in a strong position to be used as either a parry or a strike!
OOC: Let's make this a thing of awesomeness !! Good old times, eh, Kasei .

Kasei opened his mouth wide in exitement, showing off his menacing teeth as Nogare tried to make the first move. "Kyahaahaahaahaa!" He roared, as the spear in Nogare's hands aimed right at his own face, quickly closing in . . .
. . . but never making it. At the very last second, the Rebel Flame raised both his hands, and barely caught the weapon before it's blade could hit him. This daring block came at a price, though; Kasei was already wincing as the holy weapon Belegcam began to burn off his fake skin. Still he held on, as his left hand underwent a transformation, into the demonic claw Nogare should be well familiar with . . . after all, Kasei ripped off one of the Son of Grayblade's fingers with it, and was now aiming to take off the man's head.
"You just never learn, do you?" He screamed out, at Nogare, as he aimed his appendage at the man, who would be quite unable to dodge the attack while he was being held in midair, while he was holding on to Belegcam.
Though, he didn't need to. The man let go of his weapon, dropping to the ground, and dodgeing the attack, then shot forward, and rammed his elbow deep into Kasei's stomach ("OOF!"). The Rebel Flame dropped the spear, and Nogare raised his right hand to catch it.
As Kasei stumbled a bit backwards, he pulled one of his deadly daggers out in his right hand. Looks like the field was even. For now.\
OOC: GODMOD!!! D:< oh well, I hope you don't mind.

OOC: Not at all .
IC: With a somersault in midair to even out his fall as he fell from the tall mound, he made his attack on Kasei with his elbow. That kept him back for a while. That was his chance to grab his weapon. He took his time to receive it, knowing his was skilled unarmed as well (Hmm... you thinking what I'm thinking? ).
He knew better than to let vengeance overcome virtue, though. Chivalry trumped all. He held his stance, patiently waiting for Kasei to stand up, his weapon pointing its nose at the Rebel Flame, knowing its clash with Diablo would begin soon... very soon...
When at last the Sheikah Elemental was standing on his two feet again, he charged. "My finger is the last thing you will take from me, Kasei!" Despite the battle at hand, he remembered the pain he felt when the finger was lost. He had been stabbed by arrows, he had been beaten in the prisons of Death Mountain. But the pain he endured when he lost that finger was more than physical... Far more...
He charged and jumped, thrusting the spear in his hand at the man who made his life go from difficult to hell. "En garde!"

"IS THAT SO?!?" The Rebel Flame demanded, still smiling even though he was now being attacked by Belegcam full-force. As the spear approached, Kasei raised his right hand, Diablo rising with it, to divert the blow off to his right, leaving Nogare wide open for a counterattack, and Kasei was one to take opportunities.
As Belegcam flew harmlessly off to his side, the shiekah swung his claw, aiming for Nogare's face once more, this time, with a little fiery treat to go with it.
At the last second, once more, Nogare ducked forward, following his spear, and he could probably feel the flames passing by mear inches above.
As the Son of Grayblade would regain his balance, Kasei called out to him. "You finger, eh? Hmm . . . from what I recall . . . I also took other things from you . . . freinds . . . accquaintences . . . . even your sister . . ."

OOC: Worry not, folks, that is hardly a spoiler. That was revealed ages ago on the site, back before I left... I wonder how many people actually read the topic, "A soldier is saved."
IC: He knew this would happen. He had to let it go, it was just something to say to make him let his guard down. But his sister... his sister who had been taken from his family...
Ayra...
"Silence!" Fury. Anger. He had to calm himself, rid himself of his vengeance. When Kasei was dead, this would be over. But it had to be with justice, and control. He shot it out of his mind as he made another swift block, and a counter in the same motion, striking at the Rebel Flame with the butt of the spear. But Kasei was ready. He blocked with a swift movement, parrying it with the hungry Diablo, trying to bite the spear, ignoring the fact that it was nearly unbreakable.
Soon it was only a matter of blocking a clever strike and counter attack. Nogare cast his jump spell and bounced back, summoning shadows of light on the ground, to battle the Shadow Elemental. How could it have been done before - a mortal defeating an immortal in combat? He always had asked himself this question, and the answer was always a retreat from the immortal. What would keep him here?

Nogare would probably not get the time to think properly, because he recognized the next move Kasei made; jumping backwards, the Rebel Flame thrust his claw into the ground, and invoked an ancient contract.
"Demon-Lord of the Volvano, Volvagia, Come forth!" The Shiekah summoned, as the sky darkened, he raised his hand to the turning clouds above. "Shadow hand of Ganon, Phantom Ganon, come forth!" He demanded.
Instantly, cracks spread through the ground, and flames seeped through them. Out of the earth, the giant, writhing form of Volvagia emerged, covered in flames as hot as a volcano. From the shadows of the night, the hellish form of Phantom ganon took shape, wielding his nightmare spear. The phantasm stood behind it's master ready to strike.
Though, Volvagia was not so patient, it opened its maw wide, and ripped off towards Nogare, with every intent to devour him.
"Silence, eh? What? You don't like remembering how she died? How you couldn't even have a possibility of saving her? How her death was, in essence, caused by your inability to act?" The Rebel Flame roared. "Face it! You're a fialure! You can't beat the dark lord! You can't beat me! You can't even save one pathetic littl girl!"

Memories of that battle shot through his heart. If he could have saved his sister, he would have. If Kasei weren't so heartless, he would sympathize the death of his uncle, Kairos, who died hours before Ayra. Night darkened around him, and he couldn't tell if the heat was his enemies or his heart.
The jaw of Volvagia did not make him falter, though. He held his ground, waiting for him to be very close - until he had his chance... Closer he came at him, and closer still.
Now was his chance!
Right to Volvagia's throat he leaped, knowing well that he had to make do without the Megaton Hammer to defeat him. Phantom Ganon would be easier pray, once he was finished with the dragon, though. He gripped the snaky throat of the beast, the heat making him wish he could let go. Focusing, he closed his eyes to unleash the technique of the Blades. "Switch… Ah… Roo!" With that, he back flipped off the monster, and he unleashed the power of the Blades of old, aiming his hands at the beast. Suddenly confused, Volvagia turned tail and darted straight at the moat...
Now, for Phantom Ganon...

A loud, steaming Hissss resounded along the battlefield as Volvagia turned to dust in the lake. Kasei scowled as his monster faded into darkness. Still, this was not the first time the beast fell, and, with luck, it would not be the last.
Kasei stared over at Nogare. "My my, it seems I may have hit a nerve. What did I say? Was it about your sorry sister? Pathetic worm! If you still have feelings for the desceased, then maybe you should join them! I know, i'll help you out a bit, i'll gladly send you to the sacred realm, so you can join that pathetic little girl!" The puppet of darkness roared, exhuming flames from his mouth as he did.
The power of darkness was emerging once more, it encircled Kasei, and covered him, as a cloud of dust covers a field. The shadows empowered him, and lent him their streangth. He moved, in unison to his guardian, Phantom Ganon, towards Nogare. Both combatants were ready. Kasei extended his hand, giving an invisible order to strike.
Phantom Ganon launched his trident, swinging the Weapon at Nogare, who should be ready.

Nogare's eyes gleamed, refusing to blink. Sacred Realm? The evil realm?! He forgot to breath. His heart forgot to beat. Phantom Ganon charged, but even so it seemed that time stopped. "No..." Ayra...
He didn't have to worry about Phantom Ganon coming his way. He didn't care. Lost in his pity for his lost sister, he could hardly care less about his own fate. He could save himself at the last second. Kasei knew exactly how to do it - ripping his heart out of his chest without lifting a finger.
http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/ni ... ondorf.mid
His held breath made his face burn red. His unblinking eyes went bloodshot. His heart gradually began to beat - faster than he ever remembered it beating before. "You LIE!"
Phantom Ganon was now no more than a few feet away. Nogare could hold it back no more! He jumped straight at the summoned monster, not bothering to parry the attack. Arrows have always worked in the past... why should a spear not work now? Diving straight at each other, Phantom Ganon brought to his hand a massive aura of shadows, raising it above his head. He would unleash an unstoppable blow.
"I DON'T THINK SO!" Nogare yelled at the top of his lungs. The spell was unleashed. 4 massive orbs of shadow came at him, leaving trails of darkness behind. With all the battle fury he had, he struck Belegcam into each and every orb in turn, although it seemed from afar like a single complex motion, stopping them all at once, and they shot back at the Phantom. Without even landing yet, he straightened his pose to become more aerodynamic once again. His speed never changing, he had Belegcam aimed right at the phantom's chest.
The sound of gurgling blood crackled the air. Nogare, expecting as much, witnessed as, instead of blood, liquid darkness erupted from the body of his foe like an active volcano. Quickly, he balanced himself to somersault, and when his feet landed on the dying Phantom's face, he jumped off of him, letting him get shot down to the ground, lifeless. That was Nogare chance to rebound his jump.
Now his eyes moved to Kasei. With a battle cry that was louder, and more terrifying than a shrieking ReDead, Nogare drove right at him. Belegcam craved for the blood of the Rebel Flame. "KASEI!"

Kasei smiled in glee as he seems to have already angered his nemesis. "WHAT'S THE MATTER?!? TOO UPSET TO THINK STRAIT, ARE YA?!" The Rebel Flame roared, as his monster vanished into the shadows once more.
"Ah, I can really go on, but the fun is just starting, isn't it?" He almost whistled, as his eyes glowed the same as blood. He retracted his claw, and drew his remaining dagger.
"You really think you can win?!? BRING IT ON, NOGARE!!!" He cried out, launching himself forward, readying his weapons. As he got close, he swung, intending to go for the kill.

The Blade aimed carefully, wisely, accurately. He could think straight. Perhaps more than Kasei had expected. Belegcam went right at Nogare's rival, but at the last second, just before the two blades would have clashed in a complex block, the Hylian Knight let the edge of the spear slide along the edge of Diablo, not in a T shape but an I shape, perfectly in line with each other. Should Nogare lose much focus at all, Diablo would go around Belegcam and thrust itself into Nogare's hand... the one with only four fingers. Nogare closed his eyes and saw the weapons slide past each other through his ears and mind. He had learned well that the blind can see better than the rest.
Just a little further, and he would cut Kasei's hand... his finger if he was lucky.

The Rebel Flame grimmaced as he saw his attack miss. His dagger sliced past Nogare harmlessly. He snarled, and jumped upwards, spinning in the air to avoid the counterattack. The Shiekahn warrior stopped behind his foe, and spun around, swinging his weapons.
Nogare evidently saw the attack, and switched stance, swinging around Belegcam to block Diablos. "Did you really think it was that easy?!" He demanded, and swung, aiming for Kasei's head.
The Rebel Flame jumped back. "Kyahahahahahaha!" He roared, and leapt forward again. He readied his weapon, and began attacking, stricking against Nogare's defences.

OoC: My time has come...
IC: Nogare held Belegcam firmly in one hand, using his other hand to balance against the blow, to block Kasei's attack. Soon, he stepped back, and thrust at Kasei again and again, each thrust blocking the attack sent from the Rebel Flame, Diablo either missing Nogare or Belegcam, or being blocked by the flat end of the spear.
But not a single blow made its mark on Kasei. Nogare knew he had to be patient. Blaming his skill would get him nowhere, and he knew better than to even underestimate his own skill.
Kasei, however, was not holding his fury in so well. He spat a small gob of spitfire at his enemy, who also thrust it as if it were glass, the lava-saliva soaring in pieces around Nogare's spear.
Now was his time. He made Diablo glow with infernal flames. Each class made a spark, and Nogare's speed and wits allowed him to dodge and thrust to nothing each. Watching Belegcam, he timed a side-step, so he could make his move. The wind slapped the Rebel Flame's face even as it missed. Nogare knew better than to leave it at that. With a switch motion, he turned his spear like a key in a keyhole, so the blades of the weapon faced his opposition, and he sliced at him, right for the throat, though he knew that Kasei would have to be really dumb and slow to not dodge or block that. He was neither. The Sheikah leaned back, making an X shape with the two weapons, making them clash. Now, Nogare wasn`t guarding his feet. Or so it seemed. Quickly, so seem sudden, he spun from his place in midair, aiming to crack open the Blade`s knees, so that he could lose his ability to walk and keep balance, giving him the upper-hand. But no, he was as ready as the Rebel Flame himself for the move. He too made a jump over the Rebel Flame, making the two seem like parallel figures, one glowing red and black, the other glowing white and blue, spinning in midair a good many times like horizontal tops, clashing blades three times before they let their feet touch the ground.
They landed. As if the slowness of the faint wind caused friction, Kasei`s robe was now on fire. Nogare was panting like a tired dog. They stared at each other for what seemed like hours, but was really only a fraction of a second for those who were not so deeply focused as these two. They each made their move in unison. But Kasei`s was not what Nogare had expected. He jumped backwards onto the boulder he had made his surprise attack on, and summoned two more creatures - Argorok and Morpha. He waited a moment, to focus and without actually thinking about it to catch his breath (he would pass out otherwise, for all the effort used to fight this immortal, and he couldn`t do that. Just thinking about it would throw him off at this point), critically thinking of a way to counter these coming monsters, while still fighting his arch rival.
OOC: That`s as far as I`ll go. You attack me with these newcomers, and I shall counter. Sorry for the lateness of the post.

OOC: Uh-uh, Nogare. Kasei can only summon OOT and TWW bosses. No Argorok for you. I'll just turn him into the Helmaroc King, shall I?
IC: Kasei smiled menacingly. He stood tall and pointed his left finger, still gripping Diablos, at his eternal foe. "Nogare, you can't stop the darkness that spreads from the south. The actions you perform, more or less, are actually helping us anyway." He jeered.
Nogare scowled. "Just what does that mean? What are the servants planning?!" The son of Grayblade demanded, to which the Rebel Flame only smirked. "Kasei! I know you are up to something! Tell me! What is your group planning!?"
"YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW!" The shiekah roared hysterically, and swung his hand. Instantly, the slime body of Morpha shot forward and expanded, eager to swallow up Nogare.
But the knight was ready, he bent down on one knee, and, still holding onto Belegcam, touched the ground with his free hand.
"Frozen sentry."
Instantly, what looked like frost sped from his hand along the ground. Is shot out, and almost instantly reached Morpha, who didn't get to react. The monster froze, it's liquid body becoming fragile ice. Its master looked on with an indifferent face, as his beast shattered under it's own weight, ice flying everywhere.
"You call yourself the Rebel Flame, Kasei." Nogare said, slowly getting up. A bit of frost was still on his hand. "Well, if that's the case. Then I am the Frozen Knight!" He roared.
"You boast too much!" Kasei roared in turn, waving his hand once more, and jumping onto the Helmaroc King. The bird instantly lifted off, and took a dive for Nogare, who was, still, ready. He thrust his spear forward, strait through the bird's skull.
The creature vanished into nothing, but Kasei didn't. The Rebel Flame flew forward, and his daggers collided with Nogares. Once more, the two began a high-paced furry attack-and-dodge dance. Their own weapons flying wildly, but not making any dammage.
Suddenly, Kasei stepped back, and a circle of fire formed around him in the air. "Fire barrage!!!" He roared, and the ring expanded, threatening to swallow up Nogare.
"Ice wall." Nogare said quickly, dropping down and tapping the earth beneath. A solid barrier of ice shot up, deffending him. This would be an even match, for now.
OOC: See, I even gave you two new moves and a cool title to boot!
