The children laughed and ran through the streets. Keychain was leaning against a building to keep the shaking in her legs down. She also was in the shadows, not wanting people to see her. She didn't want anyone to come up to her and ask about her uncontrollable shaking. She knew that she would stutter as she would try to explain about the disease that should have killed but left her mostly healthy besides the spasm of her legs whenever she stood still for a certain amount of time. She knew that it would never work, anyway. The people who would question her would only shake their heads and walk away, wondering what was really wrong with her if she couldn't get one sentence out.

Her melancholy blue eyes stared after the kids full of joy and energy. She wanted to envy them. She wanted her mouth to dry and her lips to thin out and look sour, but she knew it wasn't possible. She pitied herself instead. She always wonder what it would be like if she was stronger, more courageous, louder, bolder, anything that her sister hated that she didn't have. But, here she was, seventeen and already past her childhood. She was only a year away from being considered an adult. Everything was over for her.

Keychain noticed that her hiding in the shadows had worked. No one paid any heed to her because it was not needed. Most didn't even notice her lurking in between the two buildings. She couldn't help but to shudder what it would be like if an assassin was in her place instead.

Deciding to make her presence known, she stepped from her cool, shadowed corner and into the streets. She was almost pushed to her knees five times when she had taken only three steps. Someone finally used enough strength and she tumbled to the ground. Her hands shot out from reflexes and quick stings shot up her arms. She hissed and looked around.

It was like she was invisible. If she hadn't of scrambled from her place on the ground, she would have been stepped on. Someone even caught the ends of her ashy red hair in their boxes that they carried. They wouldn't have stopped if she hadn't of yelped. The person quickly apoligized and then rushed away, forgetting about her existence as she stroked the roots of her hair and checking to see if the bright blue ribbon was damaged at all.

Some kids bumped into her legs and she staggered a bit. She stared at them and frowned. People walked past her, ignoring her entire existence. More people bumped into her, but this time it didn't affect her as her eyes continued to follow the merry kids in their chasing.

Yes, it was exactly as if she was invisible. It was like all over again. It was like the people back in her homeland. She was nothing and didn't matter. She had no reason so no one remembered her odd name. When it came to playing a game, she wasn't even remembered. She was just a small seventeen year old that looked like a twelve year old, always fearful, and shakes from both terror and disease. She was just a frightened little girl.

And frightened little girls never seem to be noticed without a prince to rescue them. When there is no prince, there is no terror filled girl, because they are too easily forgotten.

Denkou, Lightning thief, and Kasei, Rebel Flame.

Two people from opposite ends of the gene pool.

Denkou, short, blond hair, country boy look, wore shorts and barely anything as a shirt. Had that 'stupid' look about him. Kasei, TALL, blue hair, freaky red eyes like all shiekahns. Looked far more sophistacated. Wore all red clothes, red pants, red, long-sleeved open jacked. Etc. At his side was a scimitar-like weapon.

These two caught quite the eye as they passed down the road in Rauru. However, they themselves were interested in someone else; a girl who seemed to blend into the crowd but, simply by looking at the way she was ignored, she was different.

As they approached, Denkou tapped her on the shoulder. "Hello there."

Keychain jumped. She stared up at Denkou with wide eyes. She was quite confused. To someone like him, she could have been easily ignored. She glanced around to see if there was another person with ashy red hair or red hair that could resemble hers. Most have mistaken me for someone, she thought. Finding none that resembled her, she realized that he was speaking to her.

She looked at him with her blue eyes. She realized that the one who had spoken to her was with Aria when she first met her. He didn't stay long, though. It took her a while to remember who he was. She wasn't even sure if she remembered his name.

She pierced her lips together, causing them to change to the white color of her skin when she dug her teeth into the inside of her lips. While trying to think of his name, she saw the people gazing at them with curiosity. No one could blame that. The two were polar opposites. Anyone would have stopped to stare at them.

Keychain was still confused why the two had approached her. She knew the blond man, but wasn't sure about the blue haired man. She loosened her teeth from her lips and was silent for a short time. Her eyes were downcast on the ground.

When she finally looked back up at Denkou, she opened her mouth and stuttered out, "U-uh, h-h-hello?"

Denkou smiled as he stared down at her. After a few painfull seconds, he opened his mouth. "AH! I remember you! You're that girl those chicks found dying! Aria told me a bit about you, Keychain!" The Thief said, ignoring the nearby people, almost as if they weren't there.

Kasei looked at them both. "Keychain. Nice to see you again, then." He said, before continuing his walk. "H-hey! Where are ya goin?" Denkou asked.

"To find someone." The Rebel Flame said, smiling grimly.

Keychain's jaw loosened and she thought over what she might have looked like to others when she had appeared for the first time. With the condition that she was in at that time, she doesn't blame anyone for mistaking her for dying instead of dirty, tired, and hungry.

Her eyes followed after Kasei with a little confusion. He was with Denkou and they both approached her. She was wondering if they were going to speak about something to her, but with him walking away left her with no logical explanation to why they had.

She looked back at Denkou and said in her pitiful quivering voice, "U-u-um, w-w-why did y-y-you approach me? I-i-is there somet-t-t-thing y-you need?" Her hands were clasped together and pressed close to her body. After speaking, she found the poorly taken care of fingernails to be very interesting as her pale face flared bright red.

Denkou's golden eyes lingered a bit on Keychain, a confused look on his face. His straw hair was waving slightly in the wind, and he was now smiling. He reached his hand out to her, and grabbed her shoulder.

"Those fingers doing you good, eh?" The thief asked. A grin came across his face. "Kasei may not act like it, but he does care about everyone in Hyrule, even people who don't care about themselves. If he talks to you, though, it means he's shown an interest in your abilities. It's because interesting people keep popping up that everyone here is able to make stronger ties with everyone else. It's impossible to not see someone interesting here, ya know? If Kasei took the time out of his day to see you, then you gotta have some hope for yourself, ya see?" The hylian said.

"So, how about you and I go get a nice drink, eh?" Denkou offered, raising his wallet.

Shortly, Keychain looked over to where Kasei had disappeared in the direction on, but soon turned her attention back to Denkou. The offer of something to drink seemed to perk her up visibly.

And better yet, it was his treat. It was obvious from the way he held up his wallet. The last time anyone treated her was when she forgot her animal caring money once when she went out with Aqua.

"I think that sounds great!" she said. Her blue eyes sparkled with happiness instead of the usual dead look. Her expression darkened though. "I'm still underage though." Something like that seemed comical, since she still looked like a twelve year old instead of a seventeen year old.

Denkou smiled at her last remark as he began leading her to a tavern. "Little miss, it doesn't matter. Really," He said, as he opened the door of his destination, a nice-looking bar, "It's not like anyone here is gonna care if someone underaged is drinking, right?" He said, as a certain man, the same from earlier, Kasei, was right inside the door.

"Oh," The shiekahn said, "Underaged drinking is quite forbidden, Denkou. I think she could just have some lon-lon milk, or a soda." He said, glancing at Keychain. "I'll grab a table quickly." Denkou offered, as Kasei motioned to the bartender with a warm arm. "Get what you want, i'll pay. Denkou doesn't have any money of his own. That was my wallet." The Rebel Flame said.

"Your. . . wallet?" Keychain questioned. She looked at Denkou with a small suspicious look. The man didn't seem all to well at convincing that he was a responsible adult. She had to chuckle at a funny thought she had of him taking care of Aria all the time, trying to be responsible over her.

Speaking of her. . . Keychain looked between the two. "By the way, are either of you related to Aria? Uncle, cousin, or dad, or something?"

As her gaze went from each person she couldn't help but to watch as a certain red head made his way out of the exit. She wouldn't always be so disturbed at the sight of someone with red hair, but the shade was like her father's.

And only her older brother had that shade too.

She tried to swallow a lump in her throat. "By the way, do you two know anyone with dark red hair that could be mistaken for brunette at a long distance?" She couldn't really come up with the idea that her older brother was already so close. She didn't even remember his name yet. She couldn't come up with an idea of them living together, him taking care of her so close to leaving home age. How could they when he left home once he refused the marriage proposal?

"Yes, my wallet. Denkou was once a criminal, and he still has several . . . habits that are not generally excepted." Kasei said, as he recieved a Goron Ale. He gulped the drink down as he listened to Key's next question. When he finished gulping, he smiled at her. "Aria? Yes, she's my grandaughter. This revelation must've shocked keychain, Kasei couldn't be more than twenty five!

Still, keychain had questions. "Red hair, to brunette? I know several people with that appearance, and only Kairos is anywhere near Hyrule. Why?" He asked, noting her slightly uncomftorable appearance.

OOC: About the book, congrats.

"Just. . . Just someone I might be related to. My brother or something." Keychain thanked the person who gave her a drink. She stared at it since she didn't exactly get anything. She shook her head lightly.

"So, um," Keychain began. She rubbed her head lightly with embarrassment. "So, you're Aria's grandfather? How old are you exactly?" She blushed deeply. "I-it's not like I'm trying to offend you. People say I'm twelve instead of seventeen. S-sometimes it's- oh crap, I'm really bad at this."

She bowed her head slightly. She wanted to hide the blush that ran from her neck to her ears. "I-I'm sorry if I start to s-stutter and all that. I-I'm not the type who's g-good with conversations."

Can you believe it took me almost an hour and a half to type this?

OOC: what happened? Was it dark or something?

IC: Kasei smiled at Keychain. It was obvious he was amused by her. "No need to explain. Many are taken by suprise. I'm about a hundred and twenty years old, I think." He said, taking another sip at his drink. "Aria is only fourteen, though, would you believe that?" He said, pretending to be astonished.

"No need to apolagize. I've seen people do worse than stutter." He said. "So, how do you know Aria, and, for that matter, what brings you to Hyrule? I've never seen you here before." The shiekahn asked.

"Aria and I know each other because we met when I first came here. And that guy too, but it was gone quickly." Keychain pointed at Denkou. She shook her head and laughed lightly. "Man, was I a mess that day."

"I'm here in Hyrule," she continued, "because there isn't thing left to go back to at my home. Everything was burned. It wasn't mostly that, though. There are these people who wear black armor. They. . . I guess they took over. Everything started to change, and more importantly, they were looking for something--someone."

Keychain's hands were shaking more than usual. She noticed this and quickly hid them. "O-o-oh! I-I-I di-didn't mean to become so m-morbid." A blush crossed her face as she laughed nervously.
