Sergius El was born in a foreign land separated from Hyrule by miles of sea. There he was raised by his grandparents, for his father was always away on trips (for he was a traveling businessman) and his mother had died giving birth to his younger sister. His grandparents were Hylian immigrants to the land, thus they were disappointed when he decided to seek his living back in the war-scorn Hyrule.

He arrived in the port of Mido Town where he lived for nearly a year as an apprentice under a scribe. That all change, however, when he happened upon an ancient, indecipherable tome. That night, a common thug slaughtered his master, stole the book, and torched his living quarters. When officials from North Castle showed up, Sergius knew that his master's death and theft of the tome was no small matter. With no where to go, he went to seek training as a mage from Sage Artorius so that he might eventually find out what sick game Fate was playing with him. And that is where his tale starts...
