OOC: If you've got an excuse for not being at the Slaying the Spider yet, claiming something like, "Uh, I had to visit family in Rauru," or, "I was just on my way, but I got held up by a whole gang of Exiles! It took so long, I'm sorry," or another lame excuse which has so many holes that it's embarrassing (Like me... >.>...), then please, post here. This is a good excuse for a lot of us not reaching the event early on. I'm making this an event without a TP. It'll be fun .
I still haven't met many of the newer plays, who joined after I'd left, so this is a good way to get to know everyone, in and out of character.
For everyone else: BUZZ OFF!! . I measured this by those who got their immunity after November 5 2007, which I decided was officially late. If you haven't even become immune yet, then you, too, are welcome.
Please note two things:
1) I am not waiting forever for recruits. A month's time, and we're setting out for the event.
2) I put a lot of work into this event. I spent a long time planning it today, and I'll have spent two hours of my life, giving me an intense headache, that I will never get back. So please, give me some mercy and join!
IC:
Day 1: Dawn
The sun reached up from over the wall, making the sky look like a sheet of fire, but the city gates . The light that was the sun could not be seen yet from the castle walls, but the cucco had cockcrowed. It was not much time afterwards that there was a grey figure that left the knight's barracks. He was hard to see under with the shadows of the city still making walking the without a lantern like walking blindfold. This figure had no lantern, but you could tell that he knew where he was going. Not many would notice him. The keen eye of an adventurer, such as your own, could spot him even in this dim greyness, however. Should you have been Hylian or perhaps even Sheikan, you could have seen indeed that it was the son of Greyblade, making his way to the east side of the city, towards the sunrise.
As he approached the gate, the Hylian guards at the gate opened it abroad hastily, making sure the great thing was opened before he reached it. When the gate was fully opened, it was truly a thing of beauty, looking almost like a living painting: in his grey cloak, flapping from a wind from outside the castle; walking without posture; it was clear that it was Belegcam in his right hand, while his left held his cloak over him. His hood was up as if he were a nomad or a cleric; beyond him, outside the city gates, the mountains of Parapa towered over the thicket below it, spikes of pure shadow like the omen it was over the whole of the North. From one peak, which was directly ahead of Nogare's hunched form, light from the rising sun shot its rays in all directions, as if open arms of welcome. The trees seemed to be bowed down in comparison to the mighty mountain above it. The power of the Exiles was rising like the sun itself, and there, a young lad in his mid-twenties marched out, ready.
You follow. You don't know why. Perhaps there was some kind of epiphany from the back of your mind when you looked upon the image before you, with an image almost meaning hope. Or perhaps you were suspicious of where he was going; was he headed to the Exiles to speak with his master? Good gods, was he a spy?! Or perhaps you were an assassin, and felt like trying to slit this legend's throat, if you could.
The was just now reaching the gate. Just enough time to meet up with him! You hurry over, and make your presence known.

Shiro was wearing his new black cloak with a hood. He has hidden both his face and body perfectly. Only a little of his face was showing. He had his sword hidden with in his cloak, so if attacked he could and would use a secret attack to throw the other person of guard. He was following the legend into Hyrule. He walked to the side of the man and let out a simple "Hello."

OOC: Nice to meet you, Shiro ^_^.
IC: The voice reached his ears, and he didn't flinch. "Good morning," he said without missing a beat, and without turning his head, or slowing his pace. He knew there was an approaching shadow headed his way, but knew there was no sword being drawn, and sensed no tremendous amount of dark will, if any, so he his preparation for battle leave as quickly as it came. "What brings you here this early hour...?" He looked up at the mountains and his voice deepened. "Or perhaps this late hour." Slowly, though, as he reached the gate, he slowed, though didn't stop. He didn't know or trust this Sheikah, for Exile spies were everywhere. He didn't know who he was, what his story was, but he knew that it held darkness. His dark clothes made that very clear.

"A will," He said in a whisper. A will of denial, and pain! He looked down and then mumbled something only he could hear. Then a pain shocked him. It ran up his spine and into his heart. An overwhelming shadow. In his mind, echoed Kill...
"Let me introduce myself," he said as he fought back the pain. "I am a warrior of both shadows and light, but one overpowers the other the shadows. I am the shadow extremist, Shiro Tomoshibi of the darkness and I stand alone in the dark!"

I see... corruption drives him. Even now, still in the hours of night, he is darker than the shadow of the earth. Visible as light in the grey of twilight. A threat, perhaps. Or a weapon...
No matter what, though, I can't leave him here to wander with a dark conscience.
For a second it seemed as though the morning hesitated to break further. Darkness lasted an extra moment as Nogare watched saw Shiro fighting down his demons. "Well met, Shiro," the Blade said without a lie. "The will that lead you hear knows of my mission, then, for the path I am about to walk will lead to much pain." He watched cloaked man carefully, on guard. He knew that the time to hurry on and to complete his mission was like watching an hourglass, each grain of sand refusing to wait for your chance to catch up. But Shiro was likely a serious threat to Hyrule, knowing what Sheikahs are capable of. "Why does the darkness linger around you, willing corruption and fear rather than shade? The road of our race is shadowed by the doom of the future, a great abyss of ... denial and pain. But why does it gnaw at you so soon?"

"Really, I don't know....The sheikans are a race of hidden shadows, some are possesed by shadows and some control shadows...I am special then, I quess because i am both in that department," He said softly as he looked in front of him. No one behind or in front of them, for no at least. Again, the shadows were slipping through the cracks of it's holding cell. His heart started to pump a little harder. "Damn...," He whispered as he moved his hand on to his chest where is heart is. Inside his body was a living nightmare.

Kamiko was up in a nearby tree JUUUST finnishing up a prayer to the gods when she heard the two talking and jumped out of it and made a hasty roll causing the hood of her light blue cloak to fall back to reviel A long black ponytail and fiery red eyes. She looked at the two men.

In the rooftops he sat, quietly. Never before had the city looked so peaceful, yet so horribly repulsive. He saw how his breath annoyingly materialized in his face as he remembered the days of old. He looked at his gauntlet covered hand and cracked his knuckles loudly.
A hood masking his Zora appearance was his only line of defence against the morning cold, but soon the cold would be gone, and his only excuse for covering his face would be gone with it. "But nearly every single one of those useless idiots wears a hood too, so it won't be much of a problem" he thought bitterly.
Kalex remembered, he remembered some of them, how pathetically helpful they had been to his cause. If only they could understand his current state. ''But they are stupid in excess, so I should probably not bother them''.
Like a feather he landed in an empty alley. As quietly as he fell, he approached the brutes, being careful as to not give away his identity. He remained silent, leaning against a wall, as if he had always been there. Kalex decided he would follow them in hopes that they could help him.
"I need you...bastards...please" he said under his breath. The Zora knew how much he had changed, he just hoped that his old, trustworthy, idiotic friends could serve some purpose.
OOC: What do you mean "absent"? I've always been... you know... there...
And yeah, I am writing opposite words on purpose, you'll find out later!

OOC: RARU!!! ALEX!!! MASTER LINK!!! BY GOD AND THE HEAVENS, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL THESE YEARS!! IT'S BEEN AGES! DID YOU SHOW UP AGAIN JUST TO COME AND BE IN MY NEW TOPIC?! THAT IS SO NICE, THANKS!! I MISSED YOU GUYS!!
IC: Nogare watched Shiro with sad amusement. Many Sheikah were possessed by their own shadows (he supposed he got lucky there...)... those were the kind damned by Din into the Shadow Temple during the Age of Legends, when people knew the whereabouts of the Ocarina of Time and Master Sword... Those were the kinds that didn't like the thought of being involved with something like loyalty to a circular piece of metal that sat on some leader's head. The Crown was everything to Nogare, but not to all... A shudder of chilly sadness streamed through him like a cold wind down his back. He pitied Shiro, but he couldn't help not trusting him. Not yet, anyway, if ever. He was suddenly hesitant to leave through the gate until his business with Shiro was settled, for fear of being followed to a possible master to the East, or attacking behind him (not necessarily at the Blade, but attacking someone who couldn't defend themselves...).
There was a rustling nearby in a tree. Moving a pace away from Shiro, he had his spear, Belegcam, out, aimed at a shadow nearby, with every sense ready for the possibility of having to engage in combat with anyone between a mere octorok, a thief, a rabid dog, or Ganon himself. He watched with the eye of a Sheikah, seeing the truths hidden under what lay in shadows, and his eye caught a glimpse of a tall, beautiful Sheikan girl before him. His Hylian and Sheikan ears could pick up the soft, muted landing noise, but still he was surprised by the grace of her landing. Her eyes watched him with Sheikan eyes, which he knew could see into others' souls as well as his could, and he watched hers, gleaming slightly beneath the blue cloak which almost cleaved the darkness that shrouded the city ere the sun arose above the city. The way she was partially hidden by the shadows while the rest of her was glowing red, reflected from the distant sunrise, made Nogare lower his weapon for a moment. He hadn't totally lowered his guard, but he could see well that she wasn't as serious a threat as Shiro could potentially be. "Good morning," he said in a medium tone, unwilling to press questions like, "What are you doing here," or, "How long have you been in that tree?" He knew that they would be answered soon enough. For a moment, however, he couldn't speak. (OOC: Okay, peoplez, let's make one tiny fact clear; Nogare won't have any intention of hitting on Kamiko, because I've already got plans for his romance life. But really, if you like a girl, chances are you'll still check out other girls or admire their beauty, correct? So really, I have no plans of having Kamiko x Nogare. Just making that clear. Besides, I can't really picture the Hero of Hyrule standing on his tippy-toes to give Kamiko a kiss - she's TALL! FREAKIN MASTER CHIEF... or rather, Master Chick .)
IC: The shadows flickered, and Nogare shot his eyes through the shadows, seeing through them to see the truth beneath the darkness. There was a man in with a sword, with a look as if he was ready to fight. The way a small dot of light reflected off the hilt, it seemed to spark a memory, but he couldn't quite place it...
He knew now that his departure would not go so unnoticed as he had previously hoped. There was Shiro, this Sheikah girl, the man with the somehow-familiar-sword, and from his left side, near an alley, came a deep voice from a Zora, which vibrated so slowly that he thought he was choking on his own throat. His hood was up, and he looked like a stalking beggar by how he came from the shadows, seeming hunched forward, begging for help. He look a look at the mountains, then sighed, facing his audience. He looked at the Zora side-on, aiming Belegcam right at him. "Who are you? And what help may... we offer...?" he realized that he had awkwardly become aligned with these new folks that had spotted him, none of whom he could yet trust. And even as he said this, his eyes kept switching between this Zoran stranger and the figure of a man in the shadows that he could not yet place into his memory...

As Kamiko was starting to stand up she felt the presance of two other people one of which is a Zora and the other she was onsure of what race but was slightly visable and apperently wearing a hood of what appeared to be a cloak of for all she knew is was a cloak where she was currently standing. She easely sensed that the guy in the allyway was already holding the hilt of of his sword.Kamiko however didn't want to draw too much attention and said to Nogare; "Hi, the name's Kamiko. As for being here I was here getting ready for a day of training. Been here for at least three or four minutes."

The shadows slowly started to seep out of Shiro. He looked up and let out a scream that could scare a whole army of moblins. Under his cloak he was going through a changes. He fingers got longer and grow big sharp claws, his hair spiked up, his teeth turned to fangs. His eyes changed to a deadly black with a twist of red in it, but he was still in control..for now. "Show yourself," He screeched to the hidden people. He grabbed his sword from the inside of his cloak and moved it with caution through the sleeve. He then lifted it into the air. The sword was a nice clean silvery color, but it was changing also. The blade grow longer and turned black woth some red glimmering of it. He then pointed the tip down and jabbed it into the ground as he fell to his knees. He was tring to recover.

Kamiko shuddered at the site of Shiro's current state and wished she had never even bothered to even think about training this fine day(or so she thought it was a fine day untill this transformation took place).
EDIT:realized there was a misspelled word

OOC: *evil laughter* INTERNET IS WORKING!! HA! TAKE THAT, WINDOWS VISTA, REGIE FILS, AND MURPHY (YOU AND YOUR STUPID LAW!!)! I WIN!! VICTORY BELONGS TO JIM THE JAMES THIS DAY!! (Well, to his dad, but that's beside the point ^_^").
IC: Nogare directed a fraction of his attention on Shiro, his spear at the ready. "Calm yourself!" Still on guard for any sudden attack from the corrupt Sheikah, he stepped towards him, and put a hand on his shoulder for comfort. In a low voice, he said, "You are a Sheikah. You are one with the Shadows. Don't let that which you are bound to be your bane. What nightmare haunts you?"
The shadows mask the truths of our Folk from him. This is truly a corrupt Sheikah. Being afraid of the dark as a Sheikah is like being afraid of weapons as a Blade, or alcohol as a drunkard, or quill as a scribe, a flute as a bard. Is he so weak as to hide from what he is? ... The poor fellow. With his weakness, it's a pity he's no civilian. The shadows can do little to frighten a Sheikah, unless there is more truth behind the Shadows than even the Shadow Folk can see, or even dare to find.
He turned to Kamiko from Shiro, still very on guard, and smiled. "Pleasure to meet you, Kamiko. Nogare, son of Greyblade, at your service." He bowed his head, and turned his attention to Kalex and Raru...
... Nogare listened to Kalex's pleading, and the revelation of Raru, and knew what he must do. "Very well. Listen well. The sunrise is growing old, and soon its age will raise it over the mountains of Parapa. While Hyrulean adventurers and knights prepare to do battle in the passage, it has left the Rauru area entirely defenseless. I was ordered by the Generals of Hyrule to protect the Rauru area, and see what I can do about the Parapan threat. Thankfully Hyrule has not overlooked the very enemy we've been at constant war the longest with. They... are aware of the threat I alone am to Parapa, so they sent me." He looked over his companions. He really had little choice. Leaving Shiro alone here with the people of Hyrule will prove fatal. I must take him with me. He may prove to be useful at any rate, which is better than having a self-conscience, corrupt madman as extra luggage. ... Kalex clearly must come along, for whatever goal he needs. He could be a Zola agent, though, I can't be too sure. No matter what, I'll let him follow. If I am under the impression that he is an Exile spy, then I won't hesitate to kill him. Kamiko's arrival to that tree seems suspiciously timely to me. Three or four minutes ago? Maybe she was expecting me? At any rate, I don't necessarily need her along, though she might prove useful. All Sheikah tend to be, whether they're corrupt, pure, or grave. I'll let her have that choice. And Raru's arrival at the Battle for Ruto was well timed. If he hadn't shown up, we likely would have won the battle anyway, but his followers lead to the survival of several more villagers than the son of Greyblade had previously hoped. Many villagers of Ruto owed him their lives, should they have known it. Raru would undoubtedly prove useful again before this was all said and done. "I leave now, before the sun reveals my departure. Spies of the Exiles are everywhere..." he said this giving a suspicious look over to Shiro, then Kalex... "And I wouldn't want the Exiles to know that I've left. Listen well: I wouldn't mind the help," he maintained the lie, hoping that none would notice that he was. He was a good liar, but even his lies could easily be noticed by Sheikahs. He really did want to leave alone. He just felt as if he had no choice. "If you have a vendetta for the Parapan Exiles, you will leave a scar deep enough to possibly match those they have left upon you. If you are intending to do what's right, whether you wish to take revenge or not, I would appreciate your company. I can use all the help I can get... and perhaps I will need it ere the end."
He looked from one of the folk present to the next, seeing if they would partake. Time was pressing, but he knew that he couldn't leave until this matter was settled.

Kamiko started to walk by and whispered to Nogare; "I'm actually willing to go. I just dont want them to notice that im willing...yet." and continued onward to get her items aswell as some other rhings.
