the world was in confusion. no one knew what their fate would be, would they survive the great battls and bloodshed of the war, or would they all die? which banner would ride against the steadybreathin wind high above the heads of the people? would it be the eagle bearing the triforce, or the skull with bleeding eyes? perhaps there would be no banner at all, and the pirates and theives that folowed blinds gang would smile upon thier riches from the rubble of the fallen kingdoms of both exile and hyrulean...

or perhaps a new banner entirely would rise...

its a waste, watching the world cling to emaginary hope and the dreams of a imposibly better future. what hope has been given to them? the people hide in fear. ther own frends could be exile spies. meanwhile, no doubt, the king hides in his keep, afraid of his own people. he's a coward, but he has somethng of a head to do so, at least, to hide from people who would oppose... none understand what this is relly about. especally the one they depend on the most. if common folk that call themselvs adventueres r the ones hyrule's fate depends on... wher does the kings role come in? this is going to chang very soon...

he looked up at the eagle bearing the triforce in its tallons, the banner of hyrule, on a flagpole down in the courtyard. the sheikah sighed, and shook his head. the enticement of hyrule... what a waste... Gustaf, if only he was alive to no what hes done to me... and what his little grandchildren would become... a horde of pathetic whores, princes and princesses who cling to treasure and wealth while the people suffer... and leaving room for people like me to have a reason to get what they want most...

ragnarok knows ur behind him, and still looking about at the aspects of the castle courtyard, he greets u. "what hope do u have of this war?"

Now, the day was quite nice. All Kasei had to do today was head to the warroom and prepare for any future battles. As he strolled down the streets, greeting various people who seemed to know him now, his thoughts drifted off, to other places and issues . . .

This is bad. The Seven Stars aren't supposed to be part of Hyrule's general populace. Becoming a general was a bad decision. We aren't supposed to be making the choices here, we're supposed to watch and wait. Once this conflict is over, for better or worse, we'll need to vanish into the shadows for a bit.

As he contemplated, he barely noticed that there was someone in front of him. It was only after the person asked the question did Kasei pay attention. "What hope do I have of this war?" He repeated the question. "All the hope there is. The dark armies must be crushed at all costs. They are a threat to Hyrule and it's populace."

But you personally don't care, do you Kasei? The voice in the back of his head asked.

he snickered for a second. "at all costs? ... it may indeed cost u all of that and more, if that is your belief..."

ragnarok, sensing wat kasei wat was thinking, asks him, "but u really dont care do u? u just want to make it out of this conflict alive, at the cost of others, if necessary."

"... but perhaps there is a way for the cost to be minimal... and for you to survive this conflict. if only you can see past the manotanus strains of good and evil, and see the opportunity that is perhaps within your grasp."

ragnarok, still back facin kasei, awaits a response.

As the man talked, Kasei stood and listened. It was after he finished though that the Rebel Flame cracked a smile. "Alive?" He repeated. "I have lived for a hundred years. Life is something I do not need. In fact, I wish I could throw it away. No, my only goal in this war is to crush the dark armies, and the men who lead them. If I lose my life, then i'll be glad that there is someone out there strong enough to take it." He stated.

"Good and evil? I never believed in such a concept. People's view of good and evil is always different. I could go kill a child, and see the act as good, and believe wholeheartedly that I am doing the right thing. I could save someone's life, and regret the act later."

"Such things have happened to me before, where I have performed actions normal people would claim to be 'evil', and have been hated for it. I only have goals, though, I do not need such mortal concepts."

his back still faced 2 kasei, he said, "we have a lot in common, you and i. we fight for a cause regardless of our own fates." now ragnarok turns 2 kasei, and formally introduces himself.

"Hail, I am ragnarok. u could call me a peace keeper, though brought about in my own way." he then nodes to a cloaked figure standing no more than 50 feet away, shade from the thick canopies of the dense trees preventing kasei to see his features. the sheikah kasei speaks to begins to walk away slowly, without addressing him, but patiently as if waiting for Kasei to stop him. he fluently and silently ended his pace, and looked at the general again.

"but what would your concept goals be? perhaps we can help each other."

Kasei smiled pleasantly at Ragnarok. "Pleased to meet your acquaintance, but you have nothing to offer me, as I have no goals of my own. My will is the one the gods provided for me, my choices are not mine to make." He said rather grimly.

"Perhaps in the future, when death takes me, you will have something to offer."

"There is a flaw in your logic." A voice comes from the shadows, and out steps Leth, Hyrule's greatest archer. His hand goes up to his face and pulls back his dark brown hood, revealing his scruffy face. He had a small beard and a mess of brown hair.

"If everyone acted the way you choose to, acting according to their definitions of good and evil, then this world would have no rule. It would be a dark void of chaos and destruction." He paused for a brief moment before continuing. "The world needs a basic concept of good and evil in order to hold it together. Once we lose our consciences, we lose our world."

Kasei smirks as Leth appears. "Then you, sir, have a narrow way of seeing the world." He stated simply in reply to Leth's argument. "You seem to think that without 'order', we'd all fall apart. That is foolish. Does a deer see a wolf as evil because it hunts? No, it does not. If a man is killed by a wild animal, others will see the act as 'evil', and will seek retribution upon the 'criminal'. You have a flawed way to view the world, Leth, you and every human shares this flawed nature. I, too, resort to it from time to time, with my own sense of 'justice'. As you know, dear archer, I have commited acts that you would certainly see atrocious, but I know as completely normal." He lectured.

"And you, who has killed many in your exploits, should I call you a heartless murderer? Shall I cut you down now for your atrocities? You have nothing with which you can prove your frail ideals, boy, and that fact will never change."

OOC: Getting pretty intense here, isn't he?

"Ah, but a deer or a wolf have no conscience, no soul. They do not act on a sense of moral, but on instinct. It is different in the case of animals. And I have killed many, that is true, but I have never harmed an innocent human being. If I had, then yes, you may have reason to destroy me now, but I have only killed those whose ideals include destroying peaceful civilizations or harming innocent people or seeking power over the well being of his fellows. THAT is why I fight." His eyes have a gleam in them; he is speaking from his heart.

"No soul? I daresay. Then do I have no soul, Leth?" The Rebel Flame asked abruptly, glaring down at Leth. Obviously, he was hinting something strong here, though what it was exactly remains to be seen. "You have flawed logic as a mortal, so I won't request you to understand, but this world is more than just 'good' and 'evil', Leth." He said, then turned to leave.

"Only if you are an animal, my friend." He says as Kasei walks away. He sighed. It seems there is no point in arguing, as neither of us will convince the other of our point of view. He also turns to leave, nods at Ragnarok, and disappears into the shadows from where he came...

ragnarok watched, amused, before saying, 'ur talk of souls and morality mean nothing. i suppose on your part it's a matter of sympathy. Really, the strong live and the weak depend on them to decide their good or ill fate, and of them those who protect and those who destroy. are you to join the latter, or save the world from the wars at hand? my offer, Kasei, is not for the dead. And the offer is available to you as well, leth.

"My service is not for sale." The Rebel Flame said, as he turned to Ragnarok with a glare. "You had better hope that I do not find you as an enemy. I shall rend you in half." He barked, a bit of annoyance clear in his voice.

"I have no time for warmongers and speculators. Leth, I hope you can continue your work on the front lines. Ragnarok, good day." The Shiekahn General said, before dissapearing completely.

There was a voice from near Kasei that spoke to him: "You certainly are one to jump to conclusions. You haven't even heard what he's offered." A man drew out from the shadows, waving aside his grey cape which made a single flapping sound with the motion. "War is upon us, Kasei. If this man believes he has an answer, I believe we should hear him out. I don't suppose we've heard what his offer is yet..." however, his look at Kasei showed that he clearly didn't trust this man any more than the Rebel Flame did. It was likely that this man would quickly be worth speaking against, or even become an enemy, but if they didn't hear him out, we may miss out on an advantage in the war...

"And you don't trust him for the same reason you don't trust me: he has an enigma, and he keeps his secrets so that nothing reaches the ears of the Exiles. Can you blame him for that?"

He turned to Ragnarok. "First meetings, stranger. I am Nogare, son of Greyblade. Some call me the secondary hero, but I'd prefer you didn't. I'm a Blade, and I protect Hyrule. My goal is to save Hyrule from corruption. Is that yours?"

thank you for the kind and unexpected defence but i need none i can dedfend myself when needed

my goal is to stop further wars from happening and help bring peace to this deeply corrupted and war like world that we live in now.

and i keep my secrets for many reasons one of wich is as u earlier stated is to keep the wrong type of information from reaching the ears of of the Exiles.
