Confrontation

Stopping on the path in the woods the two fighters stand watching each others movements. The Moblin swung his sword and adjusted his shield and the cloaked man drew two gilded swords from the folds of his cloak.
'Who are you? Another Mercenary looking for a bounty? He questioned.
'You killed my master.' Came the angry reply.
'Do you think you could narrow it down a bit?' He said with a sly grin.
'Saria town.' Was all the Moblin said.
'I thought you looked familar. Where's your friend?'
'Wouldn't you like to know?' The Moblin sneered.
He had been around too long to not realise what meant. Quickly he dodged to the side as a large gilded hammer smashed into the ground beside him.
'You're going to have to try harder than that.' He commented.
'How could you miss, Cid?' The Moblin shouted.
'He fast, Sid.' Was all he could give as an excuse.
'You're both called Sid? Doesn't that get confusing?'
'No, his name starts with a C.' Sid pointed out.
'It's two on one.' Cid said tightening his grip on his hammer.
'As far as I'm concerned that means you're outnumbered.'
With that both Moblins charged at him and the fight began.
He blocked the attack from Sid with one sword and his attack was stopped by Sid's shield. Temporarily stuck in dead lock Cid took the opportunity to take a swing at him, but before the hammer made contact he jumped out of the way which continued on its path and crashed into Sid’s shield knocking him back.
Angered by this Cid attacked with increased ferocity, his vertical strike was sidestepped and his horizontal swing was rolled under and a cut made into his leg.
‘Looks like you move as fast as you think. The man said as he dodged he way as the hammer crashed down once again. As he continued to face off against Cid he wondered what had happened to Sid.
Getting inside of Cid’s attacks he slammed the hilt of his sword into Cid’s neck leaving him wheezing and gasping for air. Stepping away from Cid he looked around and saw Sid was just standing still, unmoving, he then noticed at his neck there was a knife which he followed to the person standing behind him.
‘What are you doing here, Raven. This isn’t your fight.’
‘Come on, Red. You expect me to miss out on a chance to test my skills?’
‘There is another in more need of your skills than me. Go help him.’
‘Wh…Red, look out.’ He yelled.
He turned around just as the hammer was swung he tried to jump back out of the way, but he was too slow, it hit his leg and knocked him to the floor causing his hood to be thrown back and allowing for his face and flame red hair to be seen. Cid stood over him and held his hammer high, but before he could attack Red thrust his sword into his gut and out through his back. As blood trickled out the corner of Cid’s mouth Red quickly rolled out the way as the hammer fell from his grip and landed on the ground with a soft thud shortly followed by Cid.
‘No!’ Sid yelled and drove his elbow into Raven’s side followed by a shield to the side of the head and ran towards Red. As Sid came towards him, Red put his arm behind his back, beneath his cloak and as Sid attacked he pulled it out to reveal that he also had a shield and blocked the blow. He started his fight against the enraged Sid.
As he dodged and blocked the flurry of blows coming at him he was reminded of the time that he was in similar state when he almost killed his master, the anger had consumed him all he think was about destroying his opponent. As his strength got worn down with each crashing blow he wondered how he could win against what his master could not, but then he remembered an old saying.
He swung his shield at Sid’s arm as he attacked knocking it away leaving an opening for him to thrust his sword through the base of Sid’s neck, then in a vicious sweep he tore the sword through his neck leaving a gaping wound in it’s wake. Blood poured out and the almost decapitated body of Sid slumped onto the ground.
‘Poor is the pupil that does not surpass his master.’ He said softly as he pulled his sword from the body of Cid and then walked over to Raven, who had just got up off the floor and had an obvious cut on his head.
‘So, who were you talking about before you got interrupted?’ Raven asked.
‘Lets do something about that head wound first.’ He said and shot a white spark out the tips of his fingers which dart through the air before landing on he cut on the side of Raven’s head and healing it.
‘Was that necessary?’ Raven asked as he brushed his hand over where the cut once was.
‘Maybe not for the cut, but your for your concussion I would say it was vital. Had that been an arrow you would have been dead.’ He said calmly. ‘Alpha needs your help.’ He says before Raven can speak. ‘He’s come up with a plan which will result in a battle with him, his girlfriend Shada, and anyone who decides to help, against a near infinite number of members from the Hakiem tribe.
‘Sounds fun, I‘ve been waiting for the chance to battle.’ Raven says gleefully.
‘It will be the perfect chance to test those skills you talked about earlier. Here use this.’ He says and throws him a small nut.
‘What’s this?’ He says looking at the item in his hand.
‘According to the person I borrowed it from it will allow you to appear in any town you desire, just throw it on the ground and you should appear in Ruto. From there just follow the sound of battle.’ He explained.
Raven looked at Red questionably as if he did not believe what Red had told him, but he decided to go along with what he said and threw the nut at the floor. There was a crack as the nut broke open on the ground and a blinding flash and when Red looked he was gone.
Red cracked a slight smile and wished him a silent good luck. He wiped the blood of his swords and placed the shield back on his back. He then started to take anything of value off his fallen foes. After all, they don’t need them any more.
