Rain Kissed

Keychain ran as fast as she could through the pouring rain. She had drifted too far away from the house even though she had seen the rain clouds forming in the sky. Now she was taking the consequences and was stuck in the drenching rain. It poured like it was from buckets from the sky. The pink cloth of her dress clung to her skin. She thought of wearing something light, and not just in color. The heat was increasing and burned her skin most of the time.

Her foot came down in mud. It streaked up her legs. She frowned at the sight of it, but didn't stop. Suddenly, both feet came from under her. Keychain fell to the ground. her whole body now was covered in mud. She stood back up and stared up at the sky, water running down her face. Strips of her ashy red hair had mud slipping and clinging to the locks.

"Do you curse me?" she shouted. Her arms shout straight out. "Did I do something wrong? Who ever is listening up there, I hope you are happy!" Her voice was loud enough to signal people from Rauru Town.

The rain. Kuro rather enjoyed it. It was as if it cleansed him of all his worries, sorrows, and problems. It almost made him a new man. He didn't know if anyone else shared in this belief. Probably not. Judging by the screams of Keychain, he had found one more who didn't share in his beliefs, but that didn't matter. Being around Kon had shown Kuro to accept differences in thoughts. It was, after all, human nature.

As Kuro walked, he had heard the shouts of the girl. She wasn't far away from where Kuro was, so he decided to go over to her. He began jogging, getting mud on his black pants, and the sheathes of his swords. Ignoring this, he pressed in, brushing leaves out of the way and hurdling over logs. After a minute or so, he finally got close enough to see her--about three feet away, actually.

He stood for a minute, waiting to see if she would notice him behind her. "Do you not like the rain?" he said, getting a little impatient of waiting for her to speak.

She jumped at a voice. Spinning around, she sighed loudly. "You surprised me. I didn't even know that you were there." Laughing, Keychain shook her head. Slippery mud fell from her long ashy hair, now looking like a dark brown with the water soaking her through.

"It's not that I hate the rain," said Keychain. Her face flushed a bright red color. "There are times when I wish I was inside instead of out here. I just got this dress and look at it." She tugged at the cloth that clung to her. Splatters of mud were dotted all over the rim of her dress. Streaks of mud went all up her front from falling down not long ago.

Scratching at a patch of dirt on her face, she started to mumble, "I feel so embarrassed. . .mumble, mumble. . . Complaining to someone has never been in my nature and I don't like to take things out on other people."

Kane had been traveling in his ball form hoping to find a traveler in need of his help. instead he saw a beautiful girl covered in mud and then he saw a famalir face Kuro. He unrolled from ball form and greeted the both of them. He was wearing his green cloack and a mask as well as a brown tunic that was bulging at the seams. Hello would you like some rocks then he remembered that only Gorons eat rocks well how about some milk he asked.

Keychain blinked her eyes at the Goron. He was the first of all that she had seen of such a race. Her sapphire eyes searched over the Goron, going wide at his height. Fumbling with her hands, she mumbled a small hello.

"Milk, er, I can get that at home." She pointed towards Rauru Town. "I went to go do something, and . . . well, this started happening." Keychain held her arms out, letting the rain soak her arms more than what they were already. "I should have been more careful, actually. The signs were happening all day."

"Keychain," she said a bit too quickly. Taking a long breath in, she spoke again but more slowly. "My name is Keychain."

"Signs, the ones I was talking about is with the sky." She pointed a hand to the sky. "You know, like rain clouds. Thunder. Things like that." Keychain looked at the Goron again. "Oh, I don't think that I ever got your name."

"Kane" the Goron said. "Well are you gonna be okay beside yourself" he said with emotions he had never felt before. ' Um if you want I could walk with you the rest of the way" He said gladly even with a slight smile on his face underneath his mask.

"I'll be fine, but I think that having you come along wouldn't be so bad," Keychain said, nodding her head. She looked down at her dress, sticking her tongue out at the sight of all the mud. She brushed some mud away, smearing it a bit. "This is going to be hard to get out," commented Keychain.

"Thank you, Keychain," He said. He stared at the mud and thought. How do you get mud out of a dress...As a goron he was use to mud and dirt, but a human... Thats different. He looked at her and said "I will protect you on the journey with you, I promise." He then asked " Are you tired, I can give you a ride on my shoulders?"

"No, no, I'm fine. One thing that I have is a lot of stamina. Ever since I was little I've been able to out run people that I came across. Once I kept up with one of my horses." Her face turned red. "Oh, I feel like I'm bragging now. Plus, Rauru Town isn't far away. If you like, you can even stay until the rain passes."

"Thank you " he said hoping that she didn't think he was weird but personally he was impressed with the girl able to outrun horses such a young girl made him feel protective like preventing any harm from coming to her even if it cost him his life. "So then i guess that I will stay at your house tell the storm passes then if you wish i will leave." He said as he began to walk.

"Alright, I'll take you there and we could-" Keychains stopped talking when Kane was walking off. "Wait for me!" she squeaked, chasing after him. "Just be careful around the house. There are a few redecorating issues we still have since there's six of us in there now."

Abel was walking, trying to sort out his thoughts, when he encountered a Goron and a Human, hoping their wasn't a weird love going on between them as he confronted the both of them. "Hello my name is Abel and i was wondering where you two are headed, and if I could tag along," Abel said as he was drenched in the rain and was obviously getting a case of the Influenza considering his nose was stopped up.
