Hyrule Castle had always been a remarkable sight ever since Kuro first saw it from a distance long ago, and it still was. But it seemed even better when glancing over the cityscape from a high rooftop at night. There were less people to get in the way of it's majesty with their petty bickering over who saw that last apple first. Although, it was slightly amusing when Kon slipped by unnoticed and grabbed it without the people noticing, and then they get even angrier when they realize that it had disappeared.
Without the people, though, it was easier to notice the intricate carvings in the walls of buildings, some of which actually hadn't been placed there by vandals, and depicted a wide range of things, from battles, to carvings of old heroes casting evil out of the land. It was easy to get distracted looking at these minor details, and easily miss someone sneaking up behind them.
On this particular occasion, Kuro kept his guard up slightly, but not so high that he would seem paranoid. He looked around him, then leaped from the rooftop he was on to a lower one, then jumped to the ground. He adjusted his swords at his sides, and the two-handed blade on his back, finishing by brushing off his black pants that he wore under his blue tunic.
"A little too concerned with our looks are we?" a voice came from behind Kuro. His eyes widened slightly, and he stifled a gasp. He turned around and immediately unsheathed one of his swords and got into a battle stance. The stranger was wearing shiny crimson armor, and armed with a sword. Kuro was slightly relieved to see that the weapon was sheathed, but he got a cold shiver through his body when he saw the man's pale, scarred face, and red hair; the look scared him.
"Who are you?" Kuro asked, beginning to reach for his other weapon.
The strange man gave Kuro a strange look before speaking. "Only one sword? You don't think I'm good enough for all you've got?"
Kuro ignored his remark. "Who are you?" he asked again in a more angered tone.
The stranger looked to the sky. Dawn was breaking. "You don't need to know that now, but when we meet again, you may find out," he said as he took two steps back and vanished.
Kuro stood there a whole minute, and some of the early risers watched him stand there and were likely thoroughly confused, as they hadn't seen the strange man who just disappeared. Kuro finally sheathed his sword and hoped someone would come and get his mind off that weirdo.
