New guy asks for some advice...

Yeah. Hi everybody. ^^

Umm... obviously I'm new here, I'm still getting used to the whole map system of travelling from area to area, but I think I've just about got the hang of it now. Not really used to rp forums where you literally move by using a compass...

But anyway, I was wondering if I could get any advice on exactly what my character should be doing? I've been reading up on what's been going on recently, and I seem to have arrived at the exact time that everyone is heading off on a new epic quest (What with Gohma's death and all) and well... I'm kinda weak. Well, no, not kinda, very. XD I was just wondering how you would advise my getting into the game, if there's anything I can do to gain levels or tp other then just randomly posting everywhere which seems more then a little noobish. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks. : )

Well, you're certainly starting off strong, Eberron. I've seen several of your posts and I like what I see. :D

Yes, you're new, but that doesn't mean you're weak. You'll want to complete as many quests as you can to gain TP (they're all very easy; shouldn't take too long once you figure out the system), but as a Goron, your physical attacks are already incredibly powerful. You can hold your own in a fight just as well as anybody else once you've got some armor and a weapon.

In that light, I'd suggest joining a story - as you said, you've come along at an excellent time. Gohma is dead, South Hyrule is open, and the Crusade we mods have planned for so long is about to begin, so there's plenty right there to keep you busy. And in the meantime, find someone else's topics. Get your character to start knowing some of the other main cast. And if you're in the mood for it, start a topic of your own for people to post in.

Not to mention that if you stick to fight topics where you have a lot of allies, you will be just fine. Gorons are good for physical combat right off the bat. Of course, I wouldn't suggest trying to take down mobs yourself yet :p

But don't worry, we're going everywhere in parties right now. Just tag along, help out with your high attack power, you'll rack up experience and gain TP. The armor can be found in Ruto Town, in case you haven't found it yet. Though it's fairly expensive compared to the weapons and shield.

Thanks guys. : ) Will take into account everything here. Sorry I haven't posted in the last couple of days, my internet connection decided to die. Bloody BT had a mix up with contracts and decided that we had stopped paying for our connection. When infact it was next door. >.> Again, only BT. Nevermind. Back again, thanks for advice. :)
