They had arrived in North Castle that morning, stabled the horses, and they headed directly to a place - a favourite place for adventurers when tired; the Traveler's Hostel. It was a place of comfort and safety for anyone, where they could take it easy for the next while.

"We'll get a city breakfast here, some of the finest, and the rooms are nicer here than most in the rest of the city. And... frankly, I'd say it's the best you'll have for a while. Here..." Nogare considered taking Nyre's hand, but pulled away before he did, and faced forward, opening the door for her...

... He'd traveled with her for a week, and saw the emptiness leaving. He wasn't hiding it anymore, but knew that full attachment was a weakness like no other. But he didn't care at the moment... nothing else needed to matter. He just needed to find them a place to recover.

He checked in, and arranged for two rooms - one across from the other. They went to her room and sat down. "I'm not tired yet, and I don't want you to feel alone before you get some rest. I'll get you some food for when you wake up, just like before in Ruto. You'll be safe here. No one can reach this place easily. There's nothing to worry about. Just rest easy...

He watched her for a moment, observing her facial features. "What are you thinking about...?"

Nyre had been thinking about their travels to North Castle, they past people, yet... these people didn't seem to mind seeing two Shiekah walking together, the desert was hostile, the heat was horrible, and they didn't even end up staying at the Tantari Cafe for all that long. Since she had told Nogare that she didn't seem to like him at all, and that hiding her feelings like she did, she had just hurt herself in the process. She kept her feelings at the back of her mind for the rest of the trip, she wasn't about to get distracted when there were bigger things to think about, like how she would be in North Castle, being safe... and most likely be away from Nogare. She sighed and took another sip from a glass Nogare had brought up, it came along with a tray of food, much like Ruto Town's Hospital had. "...you thinking about?" she looked over at Nogare.

"Sorry, what?"

"I asked, What you were thinking about?"

She hadn't been paying much attention to him at all recently, she was in fact trying to distance herself away from him, just so her feelings wouldn't get in the way of Hyrule's safety. She took a deep breathe and looked at him again, after almost two weeks of traveling together, she still wasn't use to his piercing blue eyes staring back at her. "I was thinking about what happens now... do we go our separate ways? Do we fall in love the way our hearts want us too? Do we travel to see the Princess? I just... I don't know what to say now, I'll be heading to the Tavern here soon, if you would like to join me... I wouldn't mind some familiar company. Either that or... if you don't want to come with me, then I can just stay here and sleep for the night... and get a fresh start for the morning... either way... I'll wait a bit, some elderly women handed me this weird outfit this afternoon walking here, so I wanted to go try it on. I'll leave the decision up to you...."

Nyre picked up the bundle of clothing, and headed into the next room, which was used as a privy. She changed into these new clothes, they were tight across her middle, with some weird symbol with an eye in the middle, she tucked her hair in, but strands still stood out in the front, a cloth covered her face, allowing only one eye and her nose to be seen, the pants were pretty tight, but not to tight that circulation would be restricted. She walked out into the bedroom once again to see if Nogare could evaluate what she looked like without the hindrance of having to stretch to look into the oddly shaped mirror in the privy room.

"Well? What do you think?" she did a twirl for him, arms held out, she spun around on one toe, "Reminds me of what that Shiekah in the past wore doesn't it? His name... uh... Shiek I think it was. What do you think Nogare? Does it make me look fat?"

"I'll go with you. You're new to the city, I can't let anything happen to you... because you're a Sheikah as well..." he tried to smile, but the muscles didn't feel like responding, so he just loosened his face into a default grim face. She would need protection anyways, until she was ready to fully defend herself as one of her kin.

Nogare gave little thought to the fact that Nyre had been given clothing from a stranger, or what the clothing looked like, but when she came out from the room, he rose to his feet in shock, and watched her. "Who did you say gave that to you? ... Yes that is the design of the alter ego of the outfit Sheik wore centuries ago... If those are the same clothes they must be literally ancient... Was the lady old, hunched over, wearing dark clothes, and watchful eyes...? Was it...?" he didn't say the name just yet... ... But could it really be? Was she... special? Even for a Sheikah?

She was relieved that Nogare had said that he would go with her, but when she was done showing off the outfit to him, she finally registered the shock in his voice and on his face when she looked at him.

"Yes, she was hunched, she wore dark clothing... and yeah... her eyes were on me the moment we entered the Square... and she just grabbed my arm and handed me the clothes... you didn't noticed because you had stopped to talk to someone... she simply gave the outfit to me and walked off, but she said one thing before she walked off," She waited for Nogare to consume all her words, and then she continued, "she said 'Become strong, love, and fight... your day shall arise as victory.'... do you now what that could mean? Cause I sure don't see anything in those words."

Nyre had forgotten that she wanted to go into the Square and look around, she simply sat on the bed and pondered what the old woman's words could mean and what the outfit she was now wearing meant as well....

Nogare was silent... He knew that Nyre was more than most normal Sheikahs, but... was she also meant to be more than a weapon or someone to protect? Was her destiny even greater than his own...? ... And if she gave her that suit... did she see more in her than she saw in Zelda? ... He'd have to see her about this...

He closed his eyes. "The woman who spoke to you was Impa, the nursemaid of princess Zelda. She is also a Sheikah...

... Nogare was silent for a moment, before rising to his feet. "We'll speak in the morning, Nyre. Welcome to North Castle, again. We'll see Impa tomorrow, and figure out just why she gave you those clothes... the guise of Sheik..."

----

Nogare didn't sleep all night, and frankly had nothing to think too hard about... all he really could do was stay up, and guard Belegcam... He just listened to the wooden clock ticking and ticking until the morning came... When he was ready, he left and knocked on the door across from his own, and sent a message through his mind: It's me. Are you awake?

Nyre couldn't concentrate, she was too riled up thinking about the person who gave her the outfit she had folded neatly in her bag she had gotten from Nogare, she rolled over onto her side and looked in the mirror that was hanging on the wall adjacent to the bed.

What's so special about me? Why would the infamous Impa give me something so precious to the Royal Family? Am I of some value? Or did they just seem to see me as someone who can be shoved out of the way later on? What's my purpose? Who am I?

...

And... why doesn't Nogare want to be with me? I mean, yeah we have our feelings out in the open between us... but what's the point in having our feelings said? Why can't we SHOW our feelings for each other too? Is he afraid of what might happen? What it could do to us? What it could to to him personally if something happened to me? Or... is he just afraid of being in love in general? Oh well... might as well worry about this some other time, right now, I have a bigger puzzle to figure out. The outfit Impa gave to me, the one Zelda herself wore once years before... figure that out, and I may figure something out about myself.

- - -

Nyre opened her eyes, hearing a knocking noise against the door, and then she sensed something, a voice in her mind. "It's me. Are you awake?"
Getting out of the bed and pulling her shirt down a little, since when you roll around when you sleep, things ride up a little. She walked to the door, rubbing her eyes, and opened the door.

"Why so early? Can't I get another couple hours of sleep? I was having a pleasant dream...." she finished off her sentence with an enormous yawn. Looking at Nogare's face though, just told her that no more time would be wasted in sleep, she rolled her eyes and closed the door slightly, she grabbed the pair of black cotton pants off the end of the bed and put them on, lifting off her shirt, and pulling on the loose cotton cross shirt, she tightened the ties and then slid into the black cloak the elderly lady from Ruto town had given her.

She turned to look at Nogare, who was still standing in her doorway, she blushed slightly at how she forgot to close the door all the way, but she felt a small amount of pride that he had gotten a good glimpse of her. She grabbed her bag and walked to the door.
"Well? Are we going? Or are you too distraught from my complete undeniable beauty?" she smiled after her sentence and clicked her teeth. I hope you liked the view. she sent out with her mind. She slid by him and into the hallway, down the stairs and onto the main floor. She turned slightly, she wanted to wait for him but she was now too awake to wait, she hopped out of the door and entered an entirely new world. The First place she decided she wanted to go was... the Library, she could see it from where she was, and soon enough, she was on her way there.

Nogare cleared his throat as she passed, minding his feelings. He took a moment before moving, but finally he followed suit and went downstairs.

Keeping his thoughts well shielded, he spoke; "I know where to find Impa... Just stick close. Don't wander off, because it'll be impossible to find you in the crowd. And hide that outfit she gave you, it's a relic of the royal family. If someone sees you with it, it could prove dangerous. She should be in the Temple Quarter... Let's go...

---

Nogare didn't say a word as they made their way west across castle, until they reached the temple quarter, where he knew Impa would be. She was always in her usual place in the Temple of Nayru... Nogare was used to seeing her here, coming her often when he needed advise. But this time, of course, other means brought him to her.

She was sitting in her usual spot in the light, as clerics passed her seat, bringing her gifts for her kindnesses in the past, and her infinite wisdom and knowledge of lore that has saved Hyrule time and time again in her lifetime.

She looked up and smiled at the two, and beconed for them to have a seat, wordlessly telling the clerics to bring food for them. "Welcome you two. It's curious that you two would eventually be together when your destinies are being carried out... both of you..."

"Impa, we both know that our destinies are being carried out, and I'm sure it's true that fate has a role..." he ignored the fact that he was speaking for himself at the same time, but continued; "Why the guise of Sheik? Why her? It's Zelda's destiny isn't it?"

"Zelda has no use for it. Adventurer, archer, range... It was a disguise for her, Nogare..."

"And..." suddenly it began to sink it, "She's the one who needs the disguise now?"

"Of course. AND it's meant for the Sheikah, isn't it? Zelda is specifically Hylian."

"And with those ReDeads hunting her..."

"Yes... yes I heard about them... a Rito sent word from Aldo a few days ago. I only hope that they stay within the swamps..."

"We were attacked by Exiles who were after her the Tantari a few days after we left the city."

"Really...? So the Exiles definitely are connected with these elite ReDeads... this complicates things..."

She was silent, and after a few moments' thinking, she turned to Nyre. "Do you know who it was that gave you that black cloak, Nyre?"

She stood wordlessly for a few moments, The Black Cloak?

Shaking her head mentally, Nyre nodded her head in a bow, "Yes, ma'am... when I was attacked by what Nogare calls ReDead's in the swamps North of Saria Town... I was poisoned and Nogare took me to the Healing Center in Ruto Town, an elderly woman there seemed to know more than she assumed about me, telling me things about how I'm just like my father, and just before Nogare and I left to travel here, she gave me these clothes. The cloak included. Now... may I ask why such a important garment would be passed down to me? I'm but a peasant per-say, I may be Sheikah, but I have nothing important about me, but from what the elderly women at Ruto said to me about my father... he was no 5th Class Warrior... now... Impa, I would like to know more... no fibbing, no lieing... I want the straight truth... who am I?"

OOC: Umm... James? I guess you'll have to take Impa's character over, you know WAY more about her than I do. For sure. lol

OOC: >.< Oops, I was talking about the clothes as a whole that the woman gave you in Ruto... Forgot that they were more than the cloak. Mah bad. Oh wells. I'll adapt ^_^"...

IC: A gentle and knowing smile crossed Impa's old face. "Believe me, young one, truth is what Sheikah like us know best.

"You are wanted by the Exiles because of a power that you hold within you. It's like magic, but it's not one that can be tamed through bloodline. Every race has its own racial abilities... Ours, for Sheikah, is Shadowmeld... but you come from an ancient tribe of Sheikah, which had power beyond the wildest dreams of even the most devoted mage. You are the last of your kind, of our already-diminishing race. If you had tapped into the power you possess now, you would probably be dead. Your family lived in Saria in secret, under the protection of the Blades," she said this acknowledging Nogare, who bowed his head, "to be sure that the enemy never got hold of you. Which is why you were sent to live with the Zoras, who live in secret and alone, away from Hyrule and Exiles. It's good that a Blade kept you safe from the threat that these Exiles have unleashed to capture you, and harness your power through you... If they obtained the power you possess... who knows what will happen...

Nyre had heard the old woman's words, but the one part she picked out instantly and accidentally voiced out her thoughts was, "So, Nogare and I are pretty much supposed to be together?!" she looked at Nogare at that point, but then the rest slowly filtered through her mind.

'...You are the last of your kind, of our already-diminishing race. If you had tapped into the power you possess now, you would probably be dead...' '... It's good that a Blade kept you safe from the threat that these Exiles have unleashed to capture you, and harness your power through you... If they obtained the power you possess... who knows what will happen....' Nyre mulled over that for a couple seconds, thinking.

'C'mon Nyre, you see? You ARE special! Listen to the old hag, you knew you had something stirring inside you, you just never fully comprehended what and how much that really was. Your father was going to tell you, on your twentieth birthday, remember? But those creatures came looking for you! They destroyed your home, killing everyone in their path, including your PARENTS, in search of YOU. It was you all along! You're the last of your kind Nyre Dian Cazlia! And now you have something to prove for yourself!' 'But how can I really know?! I would need to practice my power! To unleash the fury inside me on to the demonic minions of the King of Evil... destroy them and gain retribution for my parents, and gain what little control I have over my pathetic life! 'SEE! Your getting the hang of being rebellious! Seek and Destroy! Seek these monsters out, and slaughter them all! Just like they did your parents!' Nyre was smiling a grin so evil and morbid, she knew exactly what she was going to do before she even thought the words to herself.

'I'm going to find them and kill them. Gaining what dignity my father had from their disgusting, putrid, dying lips.'

She heard the elderly women clear her throat, and Nyre came back to reality, Nogare and Impa were looking at her with worry, but she just traded the dark smile in for a more... happy smile. Showing them that she had come to the realization of truly what and who she was.

"Thank you Impa. The old woman in Ruto village was indeed right, I will make my father proud. These powers will be my future weapon, for now... I will need something a little more... subtle. Like a bow. Castle Town's Market, right Nogare?" Nyre had a plan in mind, but the more she looked at Nogare, and watched his expression morph into something of shock and horror, the more she thought that he could see right into her mind, and she mentally cursed herself for letting her mind be open so he could enter so freely, she simply blocked off a different part of her mind and concocted a plan to escape from him later on.

Impa...

Patience, Nogare... concern yourself with her future when the time is right. For now, she has faced her past, and now must face her present. Teach her and prepare her for the initiation awaiting her.

I know... it's just... her intentions... should she succeed?

Don't let it get to you, child. There is time enough for that later.

... I don't like it...

Neither do I. Less so even. But if you act too rashly, everything will be in vain. We need her powers on our side... Or else it will be the end of us all...

Understood...

Nogare watched Nyre's expression, not forgetting the cruel smile. But he made no comment.

"Nogare, I recommend you train her as soon as you may."

"Indeed. And, the bows are in Rauru, where the Golden Quiver shop is, but I'm sure we may find one here as well... But I ranged weapons likely won't be enough. We'll get you a weapon from Quartermaster Hithos, and begin your training...

It didn't seem to Nyre that Nogare even witnessed her thoughts, but she wasn't about to take her guard down, she had a plan to escape him, and she was going to put that plan to use whether it tortured her or not. She had to gain that freedom, she would do this after she had her weapons, and the training, after that she would do what she had to to get away.

"So where does one train around here? That old man in the blue... he gave me this bow... he seemed really nice about it too, he just said, 'This is for the future of Hyrule' and handed me the bow. I just don't understand why people are being so nice and accepting to a person they have never met before... but then again...." 'They have met your father... you already know this Nyre... your father was the fame around these parts obviously... you will most likely find out more about that issue later on... now you must train, and train hard... you need to be fully equip to take part in the war that is coming....

Nyre looked at Nogare, she had a master plan to escape him, but she knew not how to succeed in this plan, she did not wan to harm him, and she didn't want to break his heart... even though he did not show that he cared for her out right she knew deep inside him... in his heart that he did have feelings for her... she would have to help him empty those feelings out to her... and with the plan she had in mind she knew exactly how... but how could she get the two of them alone...?

She looked around her with a sigh, she saw a young stable boy looking at her, and then another young girl looking at her... 'The next generation... they know who you are Nyre... they know not whether you will bring them justice in their futures or whether you bring impending doom... they hope for the first... and they give you their faith and their blessings.... Nyre mentally shook her head, she had so many behind her... so many wanting a brilliant future with happiness, in a world without the dark minions who corrupt and kill... they wanted freedom....

She looked straight into the purple colored eyes of a young girl and nodded. I will do whatever I will have to, to make your future a bright one.

She turned back to Nogare, and followed him, awaiting her training, and her new life as the next weapon of Hyrule....

OOC: Others can comment and post stuff now too. ^_^ I would like to keep this going as much as I possibly can. :D Thanks.

OOC: Actually Eryn, people aren't allowed to comment on this out of character. Extra posts that contribute to experience = bad. It's considered spam. But by all means, people can join in the topic, I guess, if you can decide how to :).

IC: Nogare read her thoughts and nodded to Impa, relieved and assured, confirming her heart was pure for now. Impa smiled. "Very well, dear one. Your training begins whenever Nogare is ready. I have to attend to Castle business, but you know where to find me if you ever need me."

"Thank, you, Impa. Nyre, come with me... you have much to learn of how to use a weapon..."

---

"Well, this is the armourer, Nyre. I know that old man gave you that bow (which we will discuss later, but you must decide upon a weapon. Pick any you want. I have the money, I will pay for it. Afterward I will teach you how to use it to the best of my ability for as long we may, until we will be forced ourselves into combat."

Nyre looked from Nogare to the shelves upon shelves of weapons. With a place like this, she could pick an assortment of weapons for her person and successfully proceed with her revenge. She looked around and saw some axes, as she stepped forward, she saw a section for daggers, and long daggers, when she arrived at the staff section, she stole a glance at Nogare, he never went anywhere without that stick of his... Belaycam or whatever he had called it, he always whispered the name, so she could never really make out what he said, sighing she went along the shelves.

"Hey Nogare... what do you think is a good weapon for me?" when he didn't answer she looked over, he seemed to be consumed in a conversation with the Goron at the counter. She snorted and turned back to the shelves. I should find a weapon that doesn't JUST mame and injure... I should look for a weapon that kills and destroys within three strikes... now THAT is a weapon. But where does one find something like THAT?

"Need any help miss?" Nyre turned and came face to face with a Goron with a apron on. She wanted to wave her hand in front of his face to see if he could see her, but obviously he could.

"Any help?" his tone was slightly irritated now.

Nyre mentally shook herself and nodded, "Uhm, yes. I'm looking for a weapon for my person, something that can mame and injure, but can also kill and destroy within three or four strikes." she watched the Goron nod, then startling her slightly, he turned and walked away.
She watched in horror. Ask me if I need help with anything and then you just walk away! I can't believe he just did that! How rude!

She snorted and followed him, determined to have a few words with this guy. She found him in the back, she guessed a storage room from all the plastic covered crates with odd looking symbols on them. The goron that had walked away from her was bent over a particular crate, black and large.

The Goron stood up erect and turned to her, in his hands was a long sword covered in a black leather sheath. "Now... this is a very special weapon, it can cause unexplainable damage, can kill within two strikes and may injure and mame, depending on how you wield it. Light and easy to use with your frail frame, but can cause havoc with the one you swing it at. Be careful."
He handed her the sword, true to his word, when she picked it out of his hands, it was light and she could easily hold it, her hands gripped the hilt precisely, the sword felt like it had been made perfectly for her, she smiled and looked down the length of the blade, and smiled wider, perfectly straight.

"How much?" Nyre was bound and determined to have this sword now, whether she had to cut off her arms and legs for it... (which in turn would render the sword useless in her possession) but she was willing to do it, as long as she owned it as her own.

"...1000 Rupee." the Goron stated, he looked hopeful, he knew she wanted it.

She sheathed the sword once again and went back to the front of the store, Nogare was still chatting it up with the Cashier Goron. She ran up to him with the sword and smiled, she felt her cheeks start to hurt, but she didn't care, she want... no NEEDED this sword.

"Nogare, I found the one I want."

"Thanks, Kakura."

"Anytime, Nogare. I'll be keeping up with my end of the deal, too."

"Keep quiet about that, we'll talk about it further later."

"You got it."

It was then that Nogare turned to face Nyre and... the weapon that she was wielding. "One thousand rupees?!! No, that can't be right."

"It is, General," commented the Goron who had given the sword to Nyre commented. "It's made of pure diamond, utterly unbreakable, and more powerful than anything you'll get in the Courtyard from the Quartermaster, sir."

"But it is a bit pricey nonetheless, don't you think, Taurion?" Kakura asked his companion slightly critically.

"I know, Kakura, but... We need the money..."

"We're humble merchants, Taurion, not cheats. That's a diamond sword, the only one we have, true, and if your lady companion wants it that badly, we're charge you one hundred, for a discount, including debts for old times."

"Thanks, Kakura, but even that's too little... A piece like that's worth at least three hundred."

"Like I said, for old time's sake. I still have a life-debt to pay."

"... Thanks... I owe you."

"Nogare..."

"All right, thank you, Kakura." He drew out his back of rupees, and put on the table a five red ones. He leaned close to Nyre's ear and whispered, "Now you keep that close, and don't lose it." He smiled to her, and patted her shoulder, said his farewells to his Goron friends, and they left the shop and left for a private spot to train.

"Your guards too low, use your entire body for each movement, less from your shoulder."

So their training began in an open spot where most citizens didn't usually go in the Town Square, where the two practiced day after, in the safety of North Castle. Nogare often wondered what it was like for her. He had been there, when Saria burned, and when the Zoras had saved her, while... he had been saved by other forces. She'd been in their domain in Laruto Falls ever since... He had returned to protect Hyrule, but she had only been around the aquatic people for over a decade of her life, and now she was forced to live among the 'normal' folk. She's been an outcast of both worlds... and even if Saria hadn't been burned and raided she would have lived the same life, as his own mother had... but her ridicule was slightly worse, due to her heritage...

Another day of training was done, weeks in. He returned to where the equipment was in a heap, and tossed her a bottle of water. "Here. You've been training well. Your improvisation skills are very impressive, Nyre. Just don't forget to keep your eye on the target and don't focus on the fight itself. Think of it like a dance. A dance with your opponent, and never let them have the upper-hand. But you're learning quickly. I'm very impressed. Nonetheless, you're not ready for action yet. Soon, though, Nyre. Soon."

He had his share of water, and prepared to pack his stuff. "You really should find a place to stay aside from the Traveler's Hostel now, you know. Staying too long can do things to an adventurer like us, trust me... There's probably a place available somewhere in town, if you want to get one... But, that's for another time, perhaps."

He looked back at her, and admired her for a moment, shielding his thoughts, and turned back to the equipment, repairing weapons (from the damage done from her diamond sword), and sighed, focusing on his task.
