ImageAs you walk up tot he stand, a short Deku Scrub appears from seemingly nowhere (though clearly from the large piles of leaves stacked on the ground), wearing a top hat and sporting a blue cane.

"Hello there my friends! Welcome to Gado's Armory, where we sell all sorts of top-of-the-line low-level armor. Can I interest you in a peek at what I have for sale?"

"Hey, for a Deku you aren't a rip off, nor a jerk." A deku nut flies at malciore and hits him in the head. "Hey! Who threw that!" Malciore turns around to see three dekus whistling, as it was them who did it.
"RRRRRRR......relax Malciore, don't let anger get to you." Malciore leaves, in order to get away from the dekus.
Malciore gets hit in the head again. "That's it!" malciore runs to them. "Come back here you little!" Malciore chases the dekus untill he runs into a wall.
"What is up with hitting me in the face?"

Well, this is rather expensive for me at present. If only my cousin could have lent me some more Rupees, I might be able to buy a tunic. I would not buy anything heavier, since the heavier stuff tends to interfere with arcane gestures. Oh dear, however shall I be able to help the group exploring Tantari Rock?

Hearing the Hylians dilemma, Denning aproches."I hear you are at a shortig of ruppes? Well I could give you some if you wish."

No, thank you, I shall just learn to be frugal. I hope a quest starts soon, though.
(Aside, Edit) Question: What relationship does Armor Class have to Defense? That's not clearly stated in the rules.

OOC: Well, under "Resistances and DEF checks,"
For physical attacks, one adds DEF + AGI to their Armor Class (ie. the total armor rating of their clothing combined). If the value exceeds the enemy’s chance to hit, they avoid DMG completely.
Basically, DEF and one's Armor Class serve pretty much the same purpose, I think (unless a GM gets fancy with a special skill check). DEF + AGI + Armor = potential to evade a hit.

(Aside) Thank you, Weien!
Now that I finally have armor, I have to post my AC in my profile!

Ryan: I'm sorry but I do not have enough to buy anything today.
Deku: Save up and come back tomorrow, good day.
The Deku scrub dives back into the ground as Ryan walks away.

As a general Role Playing tip, don't control any of another characters' actions, be it an NPC or not.

Blank approaches Gado and is astonished at the price of his wares.

A bit expensive.... Oh, I'll play your game, you rogue.

He grabs a jerkin and pays the harsh fee of 50 Rupees, then walks away, muttering to himself.

Damn Dekus, think they can charge whatever they want.....

by Nogare, son of Greyblade
Nogare hurried to Gado's armory, warning him of the up-coming fight. scaried, the deku grabbed some chainmail, and hide under it. He said, "Please, sir, Take what you want; I don't want to die! Please, protect me!!!" Nogare looked down at him, and he placed the 80 rupees on the ground, and took the some chainmail, and hurried out of the door, to see to his army.
