Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children
:o  I forgot Advent Children.
I borrowed a copy from a friend.  I couldn't keep up with the subtitles, so I can't wait to see the English version.  I can't wait to play the game also.

Good point.

I'm not much up for Disney movies, or at least the recent ones.  They're not to my tastes.  I can't wait for the second Pirates of the Caribbean, though. ;D

WHAT IS IT WITH GIRLS AND ACTORS!  OMG, it's Johnny Depp!  OMG, it's Orlando Bloom!  OMG, it's Brad Pitt!  OMG, it's some guy I don't know!  I can't take it anymore!  What happened to watching a movie because it has a good story?!  Just watch it, for the Love of Naryu!  You don't see me drooling over Carmen Diaz or Drew Barrymore.

Oh, I think the English version's out, but you have to change the language manually before you can actually understand what they're saying. I learned that the hard way: at first, it was just fine, but at the next moment, there was nothing that I could understand! :o

Anyway, my favorite movies include...

Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, The Neverending Story, Star Wars, FFVII: AC, Holes, Johnny English, etc.

Title: Re:Movies
Post by: Gamefreak on June 16, 2006, 06:26:31 AM
Yeah, that's the problem with movies modeled after books.  Quite a few points are off from the book.  I think it's just for people too lazy to read the books.
Title: Re:Movies
Post by: Raccoon on June 16, 2006, 06:28:41 AM
Nah, it's just that books are usually over 300 pages long. You can't make a movie with every single bit of the book.
Title: Re:Movies
Post by: iastreb on June 16, 2006, 06:29:52 AM
yeah, but the castle of Hogwars is allways different, and the Quiditch finals match was very important >:(
Title: Re:Movies
Post by: Hi no Seijin on June 16, 2006, 06:33:14 AM
That is true.  If The Lord of the Rings went into every single little detail, we'd have a trilogy that would take one day to watch just one movie.

Speaking of TLotR, I was disappointed when Peter Jackson didn't include The Scouring of the Shire.

I'm always afraid to watch a movie of a book I have read.  You never know if the director can make it match the book.

Title: Re:Movies

Well I'm not commenting on the fact they don't cover anything.  I'm just saying that they changed a few things in LoTR.  Like in the book, Arwen didn't rescue Frodo near Weathertop.  Also, what happened to Tom Bombadil.

Post by: Hi no Seijin on June 20, 2006, 09:22:33 AM
Wow, that's tough.  I like how they all begin, especially the second one.  The first one had the Balrog in it ( ;D ), the second one has the theme for Rohan in it, and the last one shows the end of Sauron.  I don't think I can pick a favorite.
Title: Re:Movies
Post by: JDog on June 20, 2006, 10:21:20 AM
I mostly like the 3rd one better because of the graphics, and the storyline that Jrr Tolkien used. I myself think the graphics made the 3rd one better than the last 2. And its sort of off topic, but has anyone played the lord of the rings game called, The ring of fire?
