Go into the hole at the tombstone surronded by black rocks to get it!
Have both. I love them. It makes the game way easier.
I have both, very useful but they consume alot of Magic Power....specially the cape.
I have both of them, but hardly use either. I always use the Magic Cape to get past the second to last room in Ganon's Tower, though.

I rarely use any of them...period. However, I do like the Cape while it lasts. ;D
I love the cape to but I use it when i dont need it and it wastes magic bad.
Then learn responsible magic use.
Or learn when to goof off.

I never found any real usefulness from any of the medallions (Except to get into dungeon 6), the cane of bryna, the ice rod, magic powder, or the bug catching net.
O.o
There are a few other items that you only use once or twice in the game in order to get 100%. Other than that, they're a waste of inventory space for me XD
the ice rod is necessary to defeat the boss at turtle rock, the bug catching net is necessary for catching fairies, the magic powders for getting 1/2 magic and cane of byrna is really useful for killing some enemies.
Only the Brynna and the Cape are not needed.
