Here you can talk about the nice, or evil things about school dress codes...
I myself hate them, but my school luckly don't have any, as for now.
There's really no limitation on what we can wear, as long as it isn't obscene.
What are you trying to say? Because you lost me... I don't like ties. They are soooooo anyoing, they always climb into my neck and drives me made. Because im always a justing it, when Im singing in the Quire.
I'm saying we don't have any real limitations on what we wear as long as it isn't bad.
OO, hey im a lone wolf thief.
So i see.
Yeah...
Anyway I dispise Dress Codes, Im not the kind who dresses up.
Im not rich enogh to go to a school with a dress code but are school doesnt let us wear hats......or carry advil
Dress codes as in there is a school uniform? I don't really care about school uniforms; I just wear clothes to keep my body covered and stay at a comfortable temperature. I could care less about fashion rules; it's just one more trivial thing to think about and I have better things to think about.
The only advantage of a dress code I could think of is that it doesn't take time to deside what your wearing.
I wouldn't say dress code; for me, that's a list of items you can and can't wear to school. If you mean school uniform, say that.
Whats the differnce?
My school I went to had a dress code, but it didn't have school uniforms, except for PE. We could wear whatever we wanted to do as long as it didn't violate the dress code. A school uniform is a dress code, but it implies you have no choice in the matter.
I think a dress code is stupid, thank god my school doesnt have one.My teqchers claim schoola have dress codes to "divert the guys' attention from the girls."
Our school's dress code is one big bluff. They say that girl's skirts aren't supposed to be shorter than a certain length, but of course, girls come to school everyday in short skirts.

Thats my point.
Our school has strict uniform: Navy blue blazer, pale blue shirt/bloyse for girls, white shirt for boys, Ties unless you wear a blouse but you can take them off in summer, black shoes, black/grey trousers.
When we are in the sixth form we can wear our own clothes but no jeans, really bright colours, trainers and Trackies.
I hate it, we have non-uniform days three times a year which I love. I would much prefer to wear what I want at least once a week.
To be completely honest, school dress codes affect everybody, but it affects girls more than guys.
YEAH! We have to tuck our shirts in! We don't though we just pretend we do till the teachers look away, then we untuck them!
;DThats pretty funny ;D
My conclusion is that dress codes shouldnt exist; Dress codes violate part of our rights to self expression and freedom to look how we want!
I totally agree, it takes away your individuality.
I AM NOT A CLONE!
YES! If kids dress up all the same, they all look like clones. It drains the school of individuality and independence. and, personally, i think it would look better to see a varity of clothes, not all the same thing!
I agree with both of you.
Well, that's the reason they put Dress codes into effect in the first place. It's so people with not as popular clothes don't get picked on.
So your saying its a popularity thing?
That's what the schools will tell you.
I'm not popular, but im popular to the bullies. ;D ;D
I'm a mixed crowd kinda person. Apparently, I'm a bit of a nerd, so I fit in there automatically, I hang out with the Varsity football team. I have a couple of friends who have bad lifestyles, but I don't talk to them very much.
OO, im not a nerd, im just fun to the bullies, and I also hang out with the Varsity Basketball team, so if bullies come near me Ill just have Soly kick the crap out of them.
I'll admit I'm a nerd. I don't care. I think I signed something saying that I was when I made this name.
well if I were a nerd I wouldn't get a D- in English, besides nerds are smart. ;D
Im in the middle of the socila scale; not a nerd, bot incredibly popular ;D
Well how nice for you. I only have 2 friends. And only one of them likes Zelda.
I've been tested to be quite above average intellegence. So I can prove that playing video games all the time does NOT rot your brain.
My mom says it rots my brain out all the time, no wonder my grades get worse, in english.
I'm seriously quite smart.
Back on Topic, I also hate dress pants, they are so annoying.
I guess people who couldn't afford designer labelled clothes might get teased. It would be hard to wear something different everyday for them. :(
Everyone says I am clever, And I am proud of it. We dont have cliques in our school really. You just hang out with who you like. :)
Its kind of hard for me to hang out with people I like, because were all in different classes, and hours.
I hang out with everybody except for the losers (the ones that act like A*****)
what kind of losers, dorks, nerds, or bullies.
My school is a public one, but there going to have uniforms next year! (But 60% of the kids said they didn't want any...) luckly I won't go to that school next year! MHAHAHA!!!!!!
My school has never had dress codes, but if they do, it would suck, and I would be forced to move to a new school, are school is down in the dumps as it is.
The bullies, i dont hang out with them cause thet annoy everybody. And the new high school im goin to doesnt have uniforms ;D
My school has no dress codes. It would suck if it did. However, we aren't allowed to do much with hair color. It falls under the ''distraction'' category.. :o
Thats what im saying.
Yeah. Sucks doesn't it? I was suspended for having green hair... :P
Well, thats unfair. They can't do that, can they?
Technically,no, but this school is in the boonies where they are the law...
We should cool down on this topic, its starting to turn into a descosion.
Sorry, dress codes have always been a real issue for me.
