Link entered the Kokiri Forest and went to his own house. "Hasn't changed a bit." he thought. Link then lyed on his bed and quickly fell asleep.
When he woke up, Link found a fairy floating in front of him.
"Link, the Deku Tree wants to see you right now." the fairy said and flew away. Link got up and followed the fairy to the Deku Tree's meadow. Saria was also there.
"Link, Saria, the two of you must listen to my words." he said. Link noticed something, the Deku Tree wasn't talking like he was from hundreds of years ago. At least they could understand him.
"While you two were asleep last night, the gate to the realm of the Minish opened. The Minish are a race, the size of a piece of sand. They help the larger peoples every one hundred years, when the gate opens. The gate, though, shouldn't open for 47 more years, meaning someone opened it using dark magic. Ganon, perhaps? No, he has disappeared, and we have no trace of him. We do know that when the gate opened, a Minish came out and grew to the size of a Hylian. He then flew away, into a storm cloud, and now we have a crisis.
"Not one minute after he disappeared, an army of creatures called Darknuts swept through the Desert Colossus and captured the wasteland and Gerudo Foretress. The Gerudo escaped just before the Darknuts captured their city, and now these fowl demons are going to cross the river and attack the town. Soquin is the only one who stayed, yet the people have left, and the bridge connecting the town and the foretress is destroyed, but the Darknuts will soon find a way to cross the river.
"Meanwhile, in Hyrule Castle, the King recieved a note that said the Darknuts will destroy Hyrule's existence if the Triforce of Wisdom not given to their comander, who calls himself Vaati. Vaati is the Minish who got out of the door, and he is trying to get all of the pieces of the Triforce. This includes the Triforce of Courage that you wield, Link.
"This is where Saria gets in. Vaati has learned from Ganon's mistakes and is trying to kill the sages and destroy the temples. If he is successful, Vaati will kill Saria, the only sage left. Luckily, sages are 'reborn' when they die, so Vaati has failed for now. Link, you must keep Saria from dying to Vaati's magic. Take her out of the forest and to Soquin's mansion. He will take her to safety. You will meet someone there to help you, Link. Zelda, perhaps? No, she's been killed, and the Triforce is in her farther's hand. You will have to team up with this person and fight Vaati together. How you will, though, is up to destiny. Now go! Take her to safety, and beat Vaati. Do...it quickly... before... Vaati... gains... to much... power."
The Deku Tree caught on fire and burned to ashes right before their eyes. With his last bit of energy, though, he destroyed the link between Saria and her fairy, so Saria was no longer a Kokiri. She could leave the forest.
"Come on, Saria. Let's leave." Link said and walked away from the horrible sight. Saria quickly followed and together they left the forest.
