I thought that this was a good game. It was the first one I really played. One exelent thing in it was the lenghth of time it took. That way you can play Zelda for hours, this game and OOT are proboly my favorites.
Me too, this was my second experience with Zelda(I had LoZ when I was like 5) but this is easily my favorite. It had originality, it was long, and it had an epic story. I love how it starts out, it's my all time favorite for any game.
Now I have the GBA version, and it's also great(of course). I would recommend it to everyone...
Aside from Adventure of Link (which long in an impossible kind of way), Link to the Past is the game that took me the longest, and gave me the most enjoyment along the way. Five stars!
Too bad the subsequent Zeldas didn't continue this formula... :-\
I agree, most people praise OofT for being the best Zelda game (ironically for many of them it was the first Zelda they played) but it was nothing compared to the first three (LofZ, Zelda II, and LttP). LttP was the reason my grades dropped severely in middle school back in the day.
Hey, nice to have you back, Rugby! ;D
Anyway, I love ALttP. It's a classic, has a great story, it introduced the Master Sword, was long, etc. In my mind OoT can never compare to the four first Zeldas. ;D
This was my second Zelda game, after OoT (I was a Sega child). I love it. It's so much fun. It's got the longness that I desire, with a depth of storyline as well as difficulty.
Brillant.
I grew up with this game and I still have the fond memories that come with it. For me it wasn't as good as Oot but I'm just weird that way. I feel that Mm always gets a harsh time of it but it was one of my favourite Zelda games and I enjoyed the new feel it had to it making it slightly different from the other Zelda games. Link to the Past is brilliant and was certainly better than Adventure of Link, which just irritated me.
i have it for gba, and it rocks ;D
yea i have it for gba it is pretty cool
The thing I hate about the GBA version, though, is that you need to play Four Swords to be able to get into the Palace of the Four Sword in ALttP. Anybody hate that concept?
Kind of. It's especially hard for people like me who don't have any friends.
Wow, how I've neglected to get my 2 Cents in on Link to the Past...
It's my favourite, followed up by Ocarina of Time and Adventure of Link. It took me a good, long time during my first play through, back when I was 10 or so, but nowadays it's finishable in under 2 hours, if you play it as expertly as I do 8)
I've never played the GBA port, and I never will. For all I care, FS/FSA/MC can rot.
My favourite dungeon is the Ice Palace, Kholdstare was just plain cool, followed by Blind's Hideout and East Palace. Excellent music, the Dark World Theme is by far my favourite Zelda theme, and they did good with the rest of the themes as well.
I have it for gba and its cool but I like tthings that are made for a T.V,
I have it for GBA and it is totally awsome. And it is really the only one I play.
The graphics were good for GBA. Also the story was good.
Except for Oot,(which i played for 30 minutes and decided i didn't like it) this is my first zelda game. i'm working on my 1st pendant, and i already love it!
Well LttP is my 5th favorite game, so I shall suggest:
Twilight Princess (Wii)
The Windwaker (GC)
Majora's Mask (N64/GC)
Phantom Hourglass (DS)
I liked these better than LttP. If your looking for something easy to start out with, you should get TP or PH, which are both at N00B difficulty. But all this is just my opinion.
well my first game is hard, and you're the one with the NOOB games.
NOOB.

:'( I'm sorry!
Just be more mindful of it from now on. Your warnings will expire in two months, so be good until then and you're in the clear.
I really enjoyed A Link To The Past until my SNES cartridge erased my save file. Twice. I have good memories of playing the game on the big-screen in the living room, running downstairs to the computer to look at a game guide to find out what to do next, running back upstairs to do it, running back down, etc. That was before we had laptops, you see.
After my cartridge erased itself for the second time, I bought it again on the Wii Shop Channel and played it constantly, making more progress in three days than I had originally in six months. However, I screwed up what I had been doing by wandering around and was unable to get back to where I was, so I haven't played it much since. Having other games I like to play doesn't help, either.
It's still one of my favorite Zelda games, though, simply because it's so well-done.

Actually, I'm quite sure he has only one warning. *checks* Yep, he has only one; thus, it will expire in only one month.
Ah, his first one must have expired, then. Wasn't aware of that. Okay, HH92, you just need to be careful for a month and your warnings will be gone.
I just thought of something... how many people have found the Chris Houlihan room? I have.
I don't really remember if I have or not. I don't think I have...
How cool was it? :P
Well, about as cool as finding a secret room can be. It had a message tile on the wall that said something like "Hi, I'm Chris Houlihan. You found my secret room. Let's keep this between us, okay?" There were also a bunch of blue rupees, so your wallet got a good boost.
I don't remember how to get there now, but I know it involved some running in specific directions with the Pegasus boots.
I believe it was in the castle walls somewhere, like in the courtyard...I remember flowers...
Yeah, I think you had to run from your house to a spot outside the castle, where there are some flowers covering a hole in the ground. I could probably look it up...
The Wonders of Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXp124VgFrw)
I used a different method to get there... I had no idea that there were multiple ways to get there. Pretty interesting stuff...
They took it out for the GBA remake, right?
Yeah. I spent about an hour trying to get to it 'till I went on the internet and found out it was removed. :(

just he gets one, or both of us...!?!?!
Only he got it, although yours was pretty close to getting one, too. Yours was at least slightly on topic, so I let it slide. However, I'll leave it up to the jurisdiction of the other mods on whether or not your post really should be let off the hook.
Just please watch it from now on, you two.
