Well, actually it was my friend. She has been playing Mario Kart 64 a lot. One day she turned it one and found the title screen different. It was in a desert setting, with DK launching a green shell at Luigi in the front, and other drivers in background. She went to one player, then multi player. The menus had another option: EXTRA. All the courses are mirror-reflected and backwards. IT IS SO COOL. I just did it today. Is this a glitch, or somthing you are supposed to get? I'm just curious.

It probably was an intentional hidden secret programmed into the game.
Mario Kart 64 is the only one i haven't mastered... :(
You get it after beating every GP on every CC level. It's the same in DoubleDash!!
I didnt know extra was secret, how does the game generaaly start off?
yeah i remember that! I used to play that a lot. Have you ever beaten all the courses on extra? Its tough because i try to remember the courses and when i do, they mirror image them. its really so that you have to know the game inside and out! :-[
Yep, mirror mode is a true test of skill in MK games.
Yeah, I don't think it was a glitch. More like a thing unlocked. Most glitches aren't anything major and are usually like passing through walls and stuff.
Well, my friend was surprised. But the courses are much harder. Yoshi Valley was confusing before.:-X I also forgot that you don't need a memory pack for the game. Lol.

Mirror mode isn't challenging! For me now, the courses in regular are challenging!

Double Dash is better than Mario kart 64. and thats interesting, because that mirror mode is in mario Kart 64 as an unlockable.

I own on DD, Bowser driving and boo at the items in boo's car. Can you say bowser shell infested board?
well, bowser is pretty good...but ill destroy you wiht mario fire and paratroopa's red shells. I KICK A** IN MARIO KART! ;D
if you can hit me, boo has all specials so i'll probably get a few hearts and with bowser shells your red shells mean nothing. I also drive like a mad man.
For some reason, Toad and Koopa in Toad Kart kick a**, they're unbeatable.
Like i said, i can use all specials, plus i have the best kart for my team so it's hard to beat me even if i start in last. My friends use both combos told to me and i beat them easily with the two kings of evil.
I always go with wario at the wheel, and toad with items. I love his special! :P Ill leave you all in the dust!
Third time i've said this: King Boo has all specials, i can basically get anything to stop you, like maybe three red shells or a bowser shell? Maybe a big bananna or a chain chomp?
I have 100% beaten the game, Sephiroth. I have all cars, all characters, all stages. And for some reason I am unbeatable with Toad and Koopa.
Petey Pirahna has all specials too, so if you're King Boo and him then you're saying you're pretty much invincible, right??? WRONG! MY REDSHELLS WILL SEEK AND DESTROY YOU ALL!!!
NK: Your ability against computers doesn't show skill
MK: Pety's head is distracting so i use bowser to get a higher chance of bowser shells, arguably the best item in the game.

the key to being good is having good timing when you drift into a turn, it could help you win the entire match.
Strategy is key, and what u said is part of strategy MK
