At 3:50 PM PA time on July 2nd, 2006, it was the perfect summer day. Now it's horrible. At about 4:10 it began to storm like crazy. Lightning, thunder, rain, hail, it all began in minutes. The damage is bad. Someone's tree fell down. A small usually 7 invh crrek s about 3-4 feet deep. The sides of the roads are covered with at least an inch of water. Gardens are destroyed. Sirens began going off right after the storm left. It's like Katrina. My house is on a hill, so we're safe from small floods.
I must ask where this storm is.
We had a storm today but it wasn't like 2 weeks ago.
The whole storm system is terrorizing the U.S.
Where I live tornadoes just randomly happen on a sunny day. and also we have been getting random spurts of sunny rain.
Edd:Summer rains, you can never predict them!
Bad wheather doesent bother me much. I usually sleep through it.
Me too, my sister slept through an earthquake once.
An earthquake!!!! No way! she is my hero! :D How do you sleep through an earthquake? Honestly! And ive never been in an earthquake! whats it like? Ill bet its very quaky... ::)
Carol county which is in Ohio, and were I am curently in, got this huge wind/lighting/thunder storm last night, and knocked down a tree right were my car was parked, and amazingly the car was not hit by the tree that fell, It missed it by like 3 centimeters.
I'm in Fayette county in southwest Pennsylvania. Oh yeah, here are extras to the storm: One entire tree fell over, while several parts of several other trees fell off onto the roads. A piece of our neighbor's roof fell into our yard! It wasn't pretty.
one time when i was little, I got in big trouble, and my mom locked me in my room for a little while because i wouldnt stay there.(she is not abusive or anything) and a tornado struck. everyone went to the basement and forgot me in my room. i was terrified, as i was only like 7.
That's a horrible thing to do to a person! You actually have the right to sue them!
I dont know what an earthquake feels like she lived in california for a year with my aunt.
Well, studies are showing that California is way overdue for a major earthquake.
It just randomely started thunderstorming bad here so I'm off.
Well, not too long ago (maybe a couple months ago), we had this major wind come by where I live. I'm telling you, it was as if a tornado were coming by, but I think it was actually a gust front or gustnado. Trees were coming down, man!
And, ZV, I pity you about the tornado thing. A downside to being in Tornado Alley, eh? :-X
I live in an apartment and i can see rhe pool from my apartment and even in a mild storm the pool furnature goes everwhere, in bad ones table tip over and once a big table umbrella got lifted and thrown in the pool!
Once it was just raning and I went outside and played in the sprinklers, I was in shorts a tank top and a small raincoat but when I got in I was soaked!
