Title: NFL Head Coach
Post by: Darth Wyndisis on July 03, 2006, 10:01:42 AM
Anybody have this game or plan on getting it?  I got it for my birthday and I think it is pretty good.  It needs a lot of work though.  I will get more into that later.

I might get it, I don't know, I'm waiting for NCAA Football 2007 to come out, as well as Madden 2007.

It's a lot like it, except it is played from a different POV.  And my computer doesn't have a very good graphics card, but they are decent.

So's there's no new running backs for the Lions?

I don't think so.  You would have to get them in the Draft or free agency.

Here are some more screenshots of me owning the Saints.

Troy Polamolu picks off a pass thrown by Matt Leinart... (http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/1548/screen00353qx.png)
... and returns it for a touchdown. (http://img83.imageshack.us/img83/5600/screen00378au.png)
Pass interference is called.  The play gets called back.
The next play. (http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/522/screen00396xz.png)
Steelers take over and give the ball to Fast Willie. (http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/1456/screen00401kc.png)
And he gets a touchdown. (http://img83.imageshack.us/img83/8512/screen00412vu.png) ;D

Cool, I got the game, Im currently 3-2 in regular season, I can't get the stupid Jeromine Bettis to make any big plays, Brian Calhoon can though, so I keep starting him, or substiting him.

Jerome Bettis ain't stupid. :D  But he should even be in the game.  He RETIRED.  They didn't do a very good job keeping the rosters updated.  What is even more ridiculous is that Terrel Owens is still with the Eagles.  He was released before the 2005 season was even over.

Can you get some proof that the bus retired?

I know it for a fact, but I will find solid proof for you in no time.  He announced it right after the Super Bowl you know?  He is now working for NBC.

You shouldn't be to mad at him, he does have asma, or however its spelled, so its probably slowing him down some what.

The only reason he played last season was to win a Super Bowl.  Thirteen years in the NFL is a lot for a running back with all the hits they take.

Don't you love it when you are down three points in the fourth quarter and in the red zone and the offensive coordinator tells you to take a knee?

"Hell" won't get you in trouble, not a problem.  It's like the people who made it never watched a football game.  It seems that this game is only in its beta stage. >:(

I useually don't listen to what the coach say's, I call my own plays.

Me too, but is frustrating when the clock is ticking and you have to flip through the play book to find a deep pass play.

Thats why I go to 2 minute warning, and use the Hail Mary play.

That's the problem.  The coordinator should know that when there are two minutes or less and you are losing that you should throw the damn ball.  I waste valuable seconds fliping from the Time Management part of the playbook to the Two Minute Drill part.  Playing from behind in Madden is a lot of fun.  This game just makes it awkward. :-[
