Title: Navi theory
Post by: Kail on June 14, 2005, 07:25:22 PM
I personally think that after OoT in MM that talt is the parallel navi, which is why he's yellow, mean, and doesn't
talk as much.

Tatl is a completely different faerie. ::)

Unfortunately ( ;) ) Evilslayer has a point. All the parallel characters look the same and have the same name (with the exception of a few, like Gorman and Cremia/Romani). Though, you have a good point in that the two are very similar.

I don't think there are any parallel characters in MM. It's been stated that they just reused the character design so that they didn't have to make totally new ones (which would take more time).

As for the names, I don't think any of them has the same name in MM. Most, like Anju, doesn't have an official name in OoT. None of the characters with a name in MM (except Koume and Kotake; I just remembered them now) have the same name in MM.

Really? Anju is in OoT?

Weien, she's the girl that's allergic to Cuccos.

By "parallel" I mean they look the same, sometimes act the same, and belong in the "parallel" world of Termina.

I certainly belive that it is a parallel world. Thus, many similar characters appear in both.

Wow, I had no idea. Kakariko village, was it? *doesn't remember*

I'll have to keep an eye open for her next time around, then.

I'll have to go back to the OoT game credits, as I just realized something.

Navi is Ivan spelled backwards.

Simple, yes. I'll see if one of the character designers had the first name Ivan.

Either that, or Navi is shortened for Navigation, which would make much more senses. I'm paranoid, and this conversation never took place.  ;)

I will find you, Ivan..

No, it's only a woman who looks like Anju. ::)

Also, Navi isn't a rude little fairy who doesn't know a Deku Stick from an Octorok.

To be fair, Anju was not named as such in OoT. She was just the "Lady Allergic to Cuccos."

speaking of character recycling, Damp'e seems to be a big one. one question. are all the games after the first one, just decendents of the original

link loz  (first
===========
link aol  (decendent of first)
===========
link la    (decendent of aol link)
===========
etc.

AoL is the same as the first. According the manual he stayed in Hyrule to help rebuild it after his battle with Ganon.

Who said anything about Navi leaving Link, because if they had such a strong friendship they would never break apart. It would be much more typical of a Zelda game that the Skull Kid fairynapped Navi and Link was on an adventure to find and defeat the skull kid. It is only a guess though lol.

Navi leaves Link at the end of OoT. ;)

Does she stay in the Temple of Time then as Link walks away from the master sword? Cause she stays with Link through the whole end. Is she there when Link goes to re-visit Zelda when it says the end.

Well, I haven't seen her in that scene. Plus, the intro to MM says that he is searching for a beloved friend who left him when he finally fulfilled his heroic destiny.

Navi is the only one I can think of that fits that description. ;)

At the end of Oot,Navi flies through the window in the Temple of Time.It's like instead she smashes into it and slides down.It's like a Windex comercial with the crows that hit the window.
