No, you're not hallucinating, my fellow gamers. According to Wikipedia, Nintendo was founded on November 6, 1889, and its original focus was as a playing card company! :o
Shocking, yes? :o
i heard that. my old gym teacher had some of the oldest playing cards around!
wow, It must have lots of winkles! (JK) ;D
Sweet I want some cards by nintendo!
I heard somewhere that Nintendo started out as a playing card company. I think that they should resume making cards, but add themes to them, such as a Legend of Zelda theme. I would buy a deck. :D
I already knew this, i wouldn't mind a metroid or fire emblem themed deck though!
At one point, though, Nintendo asked Disney if they could put some Disney characters on their cards.
Nevertheless, Zelda playing cards would be very cool! I think I would also buy a deck! :)
yea, they should sel them. Link would be the most powerful, and kirby the weakest (cause i hate kirby)
:oLOl. :-X
I never knew :-[
i googled nintendo playing cards and it mostly showed regular cards, they were just really yellowed and old, proving nintendo is an old company.

Nintendo was a playing card company before video games. It also says that Donkey Kong wsa the first game from Shiguru Myamoto, and featured Mario.
It's old news for me.
I never knew Nintendo was that old.
At the Nintendo World store in NYC, they have a display case with some of the original cards in them. I took pictures. ;D I'll see if I can post them up sometime soon...
EDIT:: Nevermind, it's the first picture on Google Images if you look up 'Nintendo playing cards'. Basically the same picture I took.
