Title: Desert?
Post by: Nabooru on July 13, 2006, 02:33:39 PM
Don't you think its odd that the desert is right next to the biggest body of water in hyrule in OoT? And also they have that big water fall thing and little fish pond too...

Not really. The desert gets far rougher and harsher an environment the further away from the waterfall you get so this shows the effect that the water has on the land. There are many continents that have deserts starting next to the sea so it doesn't seem that unlikely. And besides, this is Hyrule, a land blessed by a group of Goddeses', anything can happen (Besides sheep flying).

Lol! Though chances are they get most of their water from the waterfall nearby.

Yeah, they don't actually live in the desert.  They live just outside of it.  I think the desert extends much father to the west than we're allowed to travel in the game.  (The sandstorm blows us away)

If you play the song of storms on the rock in the colossous, there's a big pond.(Filled with fairies.) :)
