Does anyone else here have (or has had) the evil orthodontic instruments commonly referred to as "Braces?"

beware: they are VERY painful after tightening and add-ons and an extreme nussiance.

lets put it this way: eating oatmeal has the ability to hurt you.
But dont worry, the pain subsides eventually and then you dont feel them ;)

I had an expander. :'(It was to widen my mouth because my teeth were too close together. ;)It was painful when I had to tighten it with this little key. ???I got food stuck in it a lot that drove me crazy. :-*It was a piece of metal on the roof of my mouth. 8)I don't have it anymore. :DI had to have it in for six months! >:(

The dentist told my mom to take me to the orthodontist, they were going to check for expander, but she forgot and I havent reminded her. :)

I had braces once...
I might as well have hit my teeth into place with a hammer, it hurt that much.

oh man...I have to get braces soon too. I hope it doesent hurt as bad as you say it does. This is really gonna suck. Nobody likes a guy with braces :-*

don't worry.
just be careful fot the first couple of days, stick to soft food or it will hurt.

2 of my friends have braces and 4 others are getting them soon!
I don't need braces though so I am OK. My friends ones are really cute! They have a pattern of dark pink and light pink crystal type things! The day after she had them in she didn't come to school, because they hurt and she had to eat most of her food with a straw, but they got better. She still eats chewing gum and stuff and she says they dont hurt.
My other friend had to have 4 teeth out before she could get her braces!

It's going to be painful because I have this tooth that is completely sideways and they have to twist it around!!!  :'(
