Hey, fellow TDC members. I have news for you!
As it seems, there's currently a movie being made (by a company called BMB Finishes) that is roughly based on OoT. Nah, it's not going to be ten minutes long, but it's expected to be two hours long! :o
Here's a link (http://www.legendofzeldaseries.com/main.php?page=fanmovie.html) to the page with other links and whatnot that lead to more articles about the movie, which include an awesome trailer!
Also, for you Wikipedia-users out there, there's (surprisingly!) at least a couple Wikipedia articles about the movie. Sure, they're article stubs, but you could may them out, if you wish.
Discuss.
it doesn't look like it is going to be a good movie. ::)
I would have liked it better if it were a CGI based movie like Final Fantasy 7: Advent Chidren.
No Offence, but I think it looks awful.
They should've made the costumes darker. You know how the X-men movies had better costumes b/c the costumes weren't the same as they were in the comics? They should've made it a dark green instead of light green. bah.
Here's hoping that Nintendo doesn't stop them anytime soon.
If anyone has seen Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, they should take the same approach with this movie and should make it digitally animated.
it would be better animated, it would be better. it looks kinda funky now...
Why must you be so negative, I think its going to rock, note, I know the guy who places link, Lol. ;D And this should be in the links, but then again, Im not a mod, so I can't move it.
First of all, I'm not saying it will be bad, I'm just saying you will get a whole bunch of cooler stuff with CGI. And secondly, I will move this to the links board.
And third off, if I was a mod, I would have done it first, Lol. and fourth off, it looks great, I fail to see anything wrong with it, what are the odds that it will be in theaters, or dvds?
I never used the word bad. I'm saying you will get plenty of sweet stunts with CGI.
Sigh, why must someone always beat me to the smart? Lol, what do you think the odds of it being in theater are?
1/9824670263134 ;D
Chances are, it might be distrubuted at an independant film festival, then if it does relativelly well, it might get to theatres, but probably only on limited release.
BTW: Do you guys have any idea how expensive CGI movies are? EXTREMELY. It would take a big hollywood company to pick it up and fund it. Remember FF: SW? It costed like a hundred milliond dollars and was a financial disaster for square's movie division.
I'll fix your double post.
Well, they most likely will use CGI, but probably to a limited degree; this is a small company, and I think that they have only two people who know how to work CGI.
Of course, they'll need CGI to fix the Sharpie Triforce marks on the actors' hands. ;D
Did you know they had to fix david's(link) hair like 5 times in a row, Lol ;D
I think its weird that since Nintendo didn't want a Zelda film this company will still make it.
I think a Zelda film needs a big company to do it justice.
Hmm... I think it looks weird, but OK, but...
QuoteI think a Zelda film needs a big company to do it justice.
That's a good point. If you want something to live up to the epic legacy of Zelda, you need to be prepared to pay top money to keep it true to it's line.
What Gamefreak said. Get Peter Jackson on it. And Weta better provide special effects. There's no other way for Zelda. It has to either have Jackson, Weta, or both working on it.
Or George Lucas, or Christiphor(spelled wrong) Clumbus, the guy who did the first two harry potters, or maybe even if we are lucky, whats his name, the guy who directed The War of The Worlds with tom cruiz.
Yeah, I'd have to agree. Still, it's about time, because they did make a movie on Mario.
I believe that was Stephen Spielberg, Sora.
what we all need are people who actually understand the stuff with the zelda games. If you get someone who doesn't understand anything, then the movie will suck, no matter who the director is.
A CGI or Jackson Zelda movie could wrk.
But this looks corny. THEY DREW THE TRIFORCE WITH A MAGIC MARKER! but theyll fix up visuals after.
It didnt look like young link would be in it.
Apparentley they're making a Metroid movie too (http://filmforce.ign.com/objects/498/498574.html (http://filmforce.ign.com/objects/498/498574.html)) and that probably won't be much better.
