I'm writing a new mystery/theory article on a familial connection between the Link of Ocarina of Time and the Link of The Wind Waker. If you don't mind, I'd like some opinions on whether you think there is/isn't a relation between the two and why.
I don't think that there's a relation between the two because after OoT, Link was stuck in Termina, right? So even if Link married and had kids, they'd all be in Termina. What I mean is, that the great flood happened in Hyrule, and the survivors of that flood were on the mountian tops of Hyrule, So I think that OoT Link has no connection with WW Link. (Just WW Link's parents just so happened to name him Link, and when he reached adult-hood, he just so happened to pull the Master Sword and slay Ganon!!) But that's just my say. I might be wrong.
There is no direct proff that Link was trapped in Termina....
Well, he fell into a giaganticly long and deep hole that I truly doubt he could climb back out of. So I figure he was trapped inside Termina.
he's LINK he can do n e thing......perhaps he can fall back down through it....
Quotehe's LINK he can do n e thing......perhaps he can fall back down through it....
You mean fall back to Hyrule? I highly doubt it.
Link isn't trapped in MM. He returns to Hyrule at the end. Besides, Link's FAMILY shield in TWW was wielded by the Hero of Time, the King refers to him as 'the' Hero, Ganon refers to him as the 'Hero of Time reborn', and Outset Island is the only island with that certain tradition.
How I know that? Because it says, quite clearly, on a certain island in the prologue.
how can link return to hyrule if there is because the only road to get to termina is falling in the abyss in the lost woods. How can link even with his horse get to the lost woods at the end of majora's mask
How is not important? The fact is that he DO return! They show it at the end of MM, and if Nintendo says he return he do return.
Besides, we do not know if it's the only way back.
link in WW is his Heir they said that in WW
its a slim chance, but think about it. the hero of time held the tri-force of courage. and somehow so does the hero of wind! and it is possible that the hero of times mother had had another son, or that the hero of times dad had a brother whos wife had a son, and so on and so fourth. there is a strong possibility that the two have some sort of blood connection! im sure barry will dismiss these theorys but i dont mind, i made my point clear. ;D
that could b true but don't forget the gods chose who/what gets a part of the Triforce
yea thats true. still i dont think they would give it to just some random person. they would choose someone with potential.
he has Links spirt
do you mean spirit? you said it in a southern accent.
Dark Zelda, thinks that links grandma in WW is the eir of impa.
an old picture sure looks like granny!
that could b and yes i did mean spirit don't forgit i'm in Texas u can't get much more southern
its a weird theory, but the grandma could be impa, i mean she was never given a real name. and to get more southern that texas try florida :D
yea but thats all so a smaller state with more ppl who don't talk like Texans
still, florida is closer south.......lol w00t!
true true
lol anymore south and well b in the carribean!
not saying thats a bad thing right
perfectly fine with me. :)
good
lol. yaa mon! cinimon is da winner mon!
hahaha. they where colorful hats in the carribean. and in jamakah. i dont care how you spell it it gets my point across! ;D
going back 2 the topic, i really think the grandmother is Impa. possible.
you have a good point. although it would take more research i think you may be on to somthing!
(sorry about trailing away from the subject jack)
He could have gotten out of the hole that led to termina. What about every time you jump in a hole in OoT, Link isnt scrambling up the walls, he just floats right out, the same, or something equally magical could have happended. And he got out at the end anyway. I think the were related.

wait a sec......link still had the ocarina of time right? do u think he still had the songs in his memory that transport him to the temples? he could have just played one of those and got transported back to hyrule
He could have used one of the masks to get out. or mabey the four giants used thier magic to put him back! heck, These games are so magical, anything could have happened...
i personally think that he somehow, even though he does not remember being the hero of time or whatever, got ahold of one of the transport songs
it certainly is a mystery... ill call nintendo ;)
i will!
like the'll tell u. email works wonders. i do it all the time. ;D
Quotei personally think that he somehow, even though he does not remember being the hero of time or whatever, got ahold of one of the transport songs
Why do you think he can't remember? He could remember the other times he went back in time, couldn't he? And if he still can't remember, tell me why he remembers enough to decide to return to Zelda.
And he can't have used the transport songs. He can't transport WITH Epona, and he DOES ride her at the end. ::)
ok, i nhave not finished the game. i assumed that he forgot being the hero of time bcause he was sent backwards. my mistake
hm.... MM might not have even happened.( im just putting it out there) It could be a LA kinda thing where we dont know if hes dreaming it or not. This would lend itself to the characters lookin gthe sae but being different. bt still its just a theory.
I dont think that hero of winds is related to the hero of time exactly. I vaguely remember that he may be related to the knights of hyrule. I like te theory that grandma is related to impa. Living in kakaro village, she could have moved up death mountain to survive and had children, possibly with a knight of hyrule. One thing i would say is that Impa was a shiekra, and about 6 foot tall.... grandma, despite the effects of age.... is nowhere hear 6 foot.
sorry for the double post.... bt it was too intrigueing to let pass... who cares where Link decends from.... bt how in gods name is TINGLE still alive... i cant imagine him reproducing with a female (and god knows i dont want to) perhaps he has found a way to become immortal in his quest to become a fairy
i don't think i wanted to know that............. :-X :-X

He is attracted to females. He has a thing for Aryll. Heheh, if Link finds out...>:]
akk! im gonna be sick! :-X
To be fair from all the other evidence pretty much proves there is no relation between WW Link and OoT Link. However explain one thing that keeps my confidence in the fact they are related, only people with Links bloodline can remove the Master Sword. I mean if anyone could do it then why didn't they send Ocra on a rescue mission I mean he has more experiance than some kid and although he is realy old he still has supurb swords skills. Lets face it he would stand more chance in the Forsaken Fortress than some random kid.
It says that only those worthy of the title of the Hero of Time can wield the Master Sword. Not included the poem on the pedestal in ALttP (which really only says 'Keep the knight's line true') there's no mentioning of bloodline.
And Orca can't go because of an injure he's suffered. He's also too old to be the Hero, anyway.
To be fair I've never seen anything from the games apart from WW MM and OoT and I was only using Ocra as a reference.
aye? ???
well anyway, there could be relation in between link, and WW link, that is if there was an Omni link ;)
ibeleive there is a omni link.......
Iz dat the Links bro theory????
