Weird question but when you start a new save what name do you play as, Link or one of your own?
I usually use Link but sometimes I use the name Ilex.
I always use Link.
Link, most of the time. I used my own name once, but...no, not good.
On Oot, I use Link all the time, but in TWW I sometimes use something like Ruka or Tajar, or maybe even my real name, Richard.
Link, Megan generally the first time the I do random stuff like darklink, lafonda,redrum, dante,yeah.
I use Link, because when i read the text boxes, i like when it says Link.
Link, always. If I play, I am the main char. And I don't wish to be a guy with a girl name.
I use Link on my first save but after that I will choose a differnt name each time. On OoT I have Link, Seth, Rowan and Ilex. (Including Master Quest)
Link Dante and JaMan.
Hmmm.... I oned used Roger, but that was because that was my dad's name.
I try for twists and name other characters from other games.
I either put my name or Melink. :)

I usually put Max, my name. Oh, but one time in Wind Waker (the second time I beat it) I called myself Medli, cuz you know in the Earth Temple KoRL says 'Link, protect Medli. And Medli, protect Link.' Well I made him say 'Medli, protect Medli. And Medli, protect Medli.'

omg I just did that part in the game and thought exactly the same thing.
I did that in a game once with a character called rick.
Rick: Your name is Rick, Not as good as my name.
i called mylink character a bad word once and the whole game was funny ;D
I just started a new game on TWW (the one where you wear pyjamas and have a deluxe picto box) and I called my character "Shelvin", lmao.
;D i love fooling the game AI, dont you? ;D
mm. Our copy of WW is scratched and keeps saing the disc cannot be read, so there will be no more adventures of Shelvin.
I once called Link Master in OoT. It's nice having characters like the Deku Tree and Princess Zelda, and even Ganon, refer to him as Master. Ahhhh, the ego boost. :-* Just bad I can't get that satisfaction from The Elder Scrolls.

I just used the name Samson. I don't know why, I just felt like it.
You know, that name sounds fitting when you use it when you don the Silver and Gold Gauntlets. ;D
Slightly off topic, but I used Link for the name of the hero in Suikoden.
i also made link larry once, that was funny ;D
I usually use my name if if has 7 letter slots but the 2-d ones usually only have six so I use Tez, it was a nickname a 3 year old gave me.
I alway put Link for every single game, but I also do the the name of the main villain in whatever game it is, like Skullkid in MM, Ganon in OoT, Vaati in MC...etc. you get the picture.
Hmm, interesting Vaati. However, I feel the need to point out that Skull Kid wasn't the main villian in MM; it was Majora's Mask. Majora was using Skull Kid as a puppet. Skull Kid isn't even evil; he's just a prankster.
Oh well, Skull Kid was my favorite character in that game, anyway.
on my emulators i just put in a bumch of letters. on my real games i use my real name or a made up one.
i did call my character loser just so i could see what would be different.
i always put link :)
