Title: Wii or GC?
Post by: newbkyng on August 28, 2006, 10:19:30 AM
I'm gonna get the GC cuz I don't have enough money for the Wii and even if I did I'd still get the GC version so I could let my cousin borrow it.

No "I don't know yet" option? I don't know yet. I'm gonna buy the Wii, but not immediately and maybe I don't want to wait (I got to do something while waiting for PH, right ^^). It also depends on how the Wii version's controls are.

Well, the sword control was originally gonna be the normal B button tapping. But now the wii remote motion sensitivity thing fully controls the sword.
B button is used for shooting arrows, and I think the wii remote is still used to guide the arrow aimer, hookshot and boomerang.
Umm... moving is controlled with an analouge stick still.
The item map (where you have like the 3 items you can pick like the c stick items in OoT) is done with a D-pad and there are 3 items and the 4th is Midna I think, that is just judging from trailers I have seen.
It might not be entirely correct but thats the basics.
:)

I want it.
The new SSB is out for it and that looks cool.
People who have played it says it is awesome.

Yeah, and it may be out a bit before.
But the controls are cool the graphics will be polished and it has widescreen capabilities.

As much as I want the Wii, I'm far too broke to buy one. I'll probably get the one for GC, maybe one day in the not too distant future I'll get a job so I can get a Wii..then the world ends and I die.  :o

I want to know why people would play the gc version becuase its "true to the history" or what not

I got the GC version. I played the Wii version at my friends house an it was hard. I died facing a rat becuase I couldn't use the controls. Just moving from one side of Ordon Village to another was harder than fighting an Iron Knuckle.

Yes, I don't get that either. Is it that hard to think of the map as flipped?

0.o I just don't get that. I mastered the controls within 5 minutes.
