Which Zelda game did you hate the most? Not which was the hardest, but which was the least fun to play.
For me it was Oracles. I hated the seed system, the password system, and to a degree the graphics.
Yeah, they just didn't flow at all, didn't seem to have a purpose for the series, and took place in completely new locales. While definately not horrid, Capcom could have easily done better.
At least Capcom did a great job on Minish Cap...
Other than that, I would have to say while I liked it, Link's Awakening was kinda like that too. I guess it didn't help they had the same graphics(DX), I'm not a fan of the the two item system, but oh well, it had Chomp-Chomp...
OOT, hands down. Ha ha, just kidding.
I gotta say Seasons too, although I haven't played Ages. The story isn't that exiting.
It would easily be Ages and Seasons. They were okay to an extent, but whoever the genius is that decided to do the seeds and the passwords ought to be shot. More than once. Then poked with a stick.
Not to mention that the Ganon battle was fairly disappointing. Have all that work, for just a short battle with Ganon...

LOL!
And agreed, the ultimate boss of the two games was much too short. Seems to me that Capcom was more interesting in making an innovative Zelda game than a fun one.
But, due to Minish Cap, all is forgiven.
That was great Aeliran. I was in a daze up until you said they should be poked with a stick, then I busted out laughing.
I haven't gotten halfway through Seasons :-[ I guess it's good that I didn't work to hard to get to a crappy ending.
I enjoyed LA, OoS, and OoA (have beat them all) but the worst game, in my opinion, is the second NES Zelda, Adventures of Link. I have NOT beat that one, I've actually only managed to get through the first dungeon. It's so HARD, I don't know why I can't do it.Definitely, the worst Zelda game EVER.
The dreaded Cd-i games...
*shudder*
Oh those... I bet they are crappy. Isn't Zelda played by a real person in one of them?
yes...
*shudder*
I would have to say Adventure of Link, I just can't understand the system.
As for the Cd-i games I think most people like to think of them as not as true Zelda games because, if I'm right, they weren't made by Nintendo; but, they were c**p.

They need to have the stick shoved up where the sun ain't shinning. Passwords are evil and I hate how you are saving goddesses... they should save themselves...or oracles...whatever...
That battle wasn't short.

Miyamoto has stated, himself, that they aren't a part of the series. And he's NOT happy about them. Besides, they are based on the cartoons, and they aren't official. The cartoons supposedly takes place after AoL, but there's only one Zelda. :P
I would say FS and the two first CD-i games. I'm not so sure about ZA, as I've heard it's better than the two others. It might even be worthy to be called a Zelda game if it hadn't been for the HORRIBLE loading time.
Hmmm.....I only like Seasons. Ages sucked, it was hard, but I do agree that the passwords and seeds sucked.
Here are some movies from the CD-i games. Just so you can see how bad they are. Warning may cause severe tramua to eyes and ears!

My piece of crap computer can't play 'em. Damn this thing! Oh well, maybe it was ment to be. I don't know if I could have handled the horror. :o
Try them now. I just realised that I did a minor spelling error (put a capital where it shouldn't have been) which meant that some of them didn't work.
I watched em all... granted, they were pretty different, a lot of things in them are worth Gannon=Banning, the target audience seems sorta different, gameplay could use some improvement.
But it didn't seem as bad as some people make them out to be :). At least now I know where a lot of bad yet seemingly official art of Link comes from. And is it just me, or do you get to play as Zelda in some of the games?

Or maybe not such good intentions...
QuoteAnd is it just me, or do you get to play as Zelda in some of the games?
The third(and thankfully final) CD-i game was Zelda's adventure. The only
real Zelda game ever, if you ask me... ;D :P
I think you could be Zelda in the second game also, but I don't really know.
The ones made by Philips, definately.
"How 'bout a kiss?"
*gag*
link looked like he had ADHD. and the tenco was scary

Yeah, I didn't particularly care for the style that his hair and hat moved around, either... sorta loopy.

Hey, I have that ;D. Except I am more hypoactive. I saw some still pics at ganonstower.com since my computer can't play them. Maybe if the designers didn't smoke so much crack they would have figured out that they can't design a game. They could have used a picture of my head to replace that horribly drawn picture they had of Link. Hey, at least the hair would be better. 8)

That was just about every line in the Cartoon.
That and "excuuuuse me Princess!"
Yay, i totally agree that Ages and Seasons were not that great at all, what with the colors and passwords and link to both of the different games. :P :P :P :P ??? ??? ??? ???

LOL! That was funny. When I was listening to that, I think I actually wished for the world to blow up.

TOO LATE....BUT I CAN STILL HEAR IT IN MY HEAD AHHHHHHH.
I bet a bunch of Zelda fans tortured and killed the guy who did Link's voice in some Medieval fassion.
Yeah but what was even worse was the two guys portraying Mario and Luigi. Man that was as cheesy as Saved By The Bell (which I still love). It is almost as bad as the Super Mario Bros. movie in which you had English guy and Mexican portraying two Italians...brilliant casting.

i guess so but they kinda did mach up links voice to his old skool look..i had a dream that the did a zelda movie and jason mews did links voice *shudders at the thought*
To throw this topic back on topic...
I have to agree with a lot of people on here and say that the Oracle Series were the worst. I hated them. They had little flow and the graphics were poor as well.
Although, CD-i are poor. I own Wand of Gamelon, and it's awful.
the orcials were like traviling back in to graphic time...
I thought AoL sucked big time. What a waste of my precious time.
"Well, exuuuuuse me, princess!"
That made me crack up, because the voice reminds me of stormy from Sealab 2021.
Anyways, I haven't played many of the Zelda games (ocarina of time -partway, I'm a wuss and those redead scare me, :'( but then again I'm older now, so maybe I should dig it up and play it again-, Awakening, and the orecles.) Out of all those I'd say awakening. I liked the orecles...what? ???
yeah, stormy does kindof sound like link :P
i really didnt like links adventure
WoG(wand of gameleon 4 the cd-i) is the suckiest game of all time not to mention of the zelda series if u count it as a part of it >:(, and if not its seasons and ages 4 sure.....
the tenco was soo creepy in that game i bet i could make a raver ears bleed.
I think the worst game was MM.
really? :-\ i never heard that before.
My leats favorite is AoL. As i said before, side scrolling is horrible.
Makes you think, Who in their right mind, thought, "Hey, maybe an animated Zelda adventure game would sound cool".
This topic might be mega-old, but I wish those guys hadn't trashed the Oracle games so freaking much! Those games were awesome, and I've played them all. I really liked some of the dungeon designs and the level of exploration that is prominent in those new lands is really awesome! Maybe it's not so much in hyrule, but it certainly is just as memorable, to me at least, or even more so!
I honestly can't say which is worse, except the CD-I games.
I think that it's not that they're "bad". It's just that they're not as good on Zelda standards.
The Oracle games were alright. They werent as good, amybe, because they werent made by Nintendo, but by Capcom.
Which is what I just said basically.
