Alright, boys and girls, I'll start posting pics of my paintings and art projects. THis doesn't really belong in the fanworks section, but I just want to show everyone my really weird art projects I've done.
SO how many want to see these?
i do :) be sure to post them soon
Do you have to ask DPM? Let's see the warped world in which you exist, painted on canvas. :P
Dude, just post it. You don't need to ask us.
Amen brother, Amen
Alright, here's the first painting...
This painting was one I did for a project. It's inspired by the feelings of disillusionment present within "The Catcher in the rye"
I paint quite fast, and this is part of my style, giving in depth scope to colors and airs. It was painted with Crayola kids paint, I like to use thick brushstrokes to give more emotion. Hope you enjoy!
It is good, but it does stretch the page. You're going to have to link to it.
awesome works dude. Although I cant quite grip it, it looks nice. You described it as "You tripped, and you painted what you saw". I would like to see more! :D
Alrighty, here's another, this is one of John Lennon... my first acrylic painting, so don't be surprised if it doesn't exactly meet expectations.
I tried to sorta capture all the colors of John, the background to the left shoulda been more psychedillic... but ah well...
Here's the original pic it was modelled after

what ya think?
i think they are both very good pieces of art.
And now, for your viewing pleasure, some more paintings of mine.
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n225/darkphantomime/IMG_0508.jpg
This one is really colorful, it's like your being melted into the colors and wide brushstrokes. This was actually inspired by "To Kill a Mockingbird", the scene in the book where someone's house is on fire, and it's snowing.
Here's another.
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n225/darkphantomime/IMG_0506.jpg
An Experiment with acrylic and contrast. This was my second acrylic painting, and you can see, it's much more vivid than the Lennon one.
good stuff

That was a house on fire? I thought it was a red elephant. ;)
Hey,it's abstract! so there might be some people who think and see different things... Some people even thought they saw a green dragon flying and spitting very big flames. But you can see how vivid it is with the thick brushstrokes.
wow i know what it's like to be near sighted now lol

Wait, what's that supposed to mean anyway? How the heck did you know I was nearsighted???
i see no Paintings ;)
Oh, my gosh! These are so good, they make me want want to look at them forever! I am sooooo IMPRESSED!
i very much like the first one. And the book To Kill a Mockingbird was good too
Here's another one. This one was done with lots of pencil... Mostly charcoal and ebony. It's a project about 'me', so it has some of the weird things that define what I am, and in the center is a self-potrait of myself. Hope you see all the weird stuff in detail.

Another painting, this time done with watercolor. I hate watercolor because the color always fades out of my paintings so fast >:( >:(
This one should've been more colorful, but anyway, it's an abstract idea with the whole world getting merged into something else. You'll notice it looks kinda like a landscape, and that's the effect I'm going for, a surreal landscape.
I see a guy in the middle of the second one. Is he supposed to be?
The face in the middle is me... I'm wearing a mask of sorts. And if you'll look to the left, you'll see two puppets with weird masks. They represent my really weird and creepy imagination...
That mask is actually somewhat like the one the Phantom wears in "the phantom of the Opera".
There are also some other weird shapes that make it really crazy. the thing at the very bottom represents a black hole and stuff getting warped by it. That's why many of the things are in weird shapes with weird shadows.
Oh, my gosh, these are so good! *Screams like a high pitched teenage girl* Sorry if I broke your ear drums.
ooo i love them, keep them comin! ;D
cool that great :D ;D
I like the watercolor.

I like the watercolor.
Tell me then, what you see in that strange land which I have potrayed.
howm many, exactly, do you have?
All those paintings were done last year in Art III. I have a total of 8 pics so far of each project. I plan on having a friend take some more pics of other projects I've done in previous years. It should make an interesting thing.
I also hope to do a painting series of new works for my senior project in English. Should be really crazy.
if you have time, i hope you post them ;D

Im not sure, but i liked the fact that i could see the water stains. im really not sure i just liked it cause i could sorta tell what you were trying to portray.
And now to resurrect this topic
here's a work of mine, with giant hands and distorted imagery...
And another that depicts emotional storminess... The thing of cold blood and your hands start to freeze into intermirrent crystals...
i like the second one
