I saw this somewhere, on IGN I think.
45 minutes to ride from one end of Hyrule to another, that is just awesome!
I hope there are none of those timed trading quests like in Oot... :-X
awesome? I just want to play the damned dungeons!
It shows how massively huge the world is. And I doubt you will ever have to ride the full 45 mins. There will be some sort of warping.
But, what about before you get warps
Heheh... some people said it wouldn't get as big as TES IV: Oblivion... :-*
But then, it comes from IGN... which makes me wonder...
Yeah, I doubt it could really be 45 mins, maybe that is like riding round Hyrule not just straight across it.
But still it sounds good.
But even if it is exaggerating that is still huge!
i bet, its probably only like 30 minutes. Either way,Hyrule massivness is sure to make me smile :)
you're probably right, MasterKey. I'm scared about having anything bigger than Hyrule Field!
I don't think it will even be close to that. That'd be boring. I thought OOT hyrule field was already annoyingly big or empty. I want villages, characters, dungeons and the possibility to have a clear idea of what I've already done, and what I still have to do.
I just think it will be bigger than the earlier tloz games, but I know it won't be 45 min. Or otherwise, 45 min. of pure boredom.
I do wonder though, why do people get all happy because of the news traveling on a horse in a realistic looking tloz takes 45 minutes, but complained about traveling by boat in a cellshaded game took too long, while there was more to do on the ocean than on Hyrule Field.
I believe that the 45 mins it is reffering to is to HYRULE, who said Hyrule field? I dont think it meant just one side to another. I have no idea what it EXACTLY means, but all I know is that it shows Hyrule is gonna be big. Maybe it means stopping off at every place in Hyrule field. But, as I said I don't know, all I know is that its gonna be big. And that is awesome!
Also, most people will know this, but, in case you didn't The Wii version of TP will be mirrored. As you know Link is left handed with his sword. But as the majority of people are right handed, and will hold the wii remote ion their right hand. They have changed it so Link is now right handed. In the GC version Link is still a left hander though.
Even if you add "two areas" to the 45min, I still don't think that will be the case.
Anyway, we'll see. If we don't know what is meant, then it doesn't mean anything, except that Hyrule is gonna be huge, but we kinda already knew/expected that.
I just hope there will be guard towers again. I loved them in TWW and I think they should be reused.
What do you mean with mirrored? The whole game or just Link? I know Link will be a righty. Enough reason for me to buy the GC version.
Okay, no opinion on the whole "Hyrule's gonna be big" thing, but the whole game is going to be mirrored, not just Link. Going right in the Wii version will be going left in the Gamecube version and vice versa.

but what does that mean, and sorry for ruining the brillent quote
I don't have anything to say about crossing Hyrule Field. And the graphics in the Wii version is going to be a mirror image of those in the GCN version. That means that if you have to go left in the GCN version, you'll have to go right in the Wii version. It also means that Link will be right-handed in the Wii version, but left-handed in the GCN version.

So, you're saying that you wont buy it if he's left handed? Is that the case? You are such a prejudice. Lets burn her!
Uh... I think she means that she'll buy IF Link's left-handed. All the Links have been left-handed, but they switched after they tried swinging the controller. And since majority of the world is right-handed, well. But leftys will always rule!!!!

Yeah, you may be playing around, but it's hard for us to tell that just by reading. And how exactly is it showing prejudice? Some people would rather be traditional and keep Link left-handed; I know I want to keep Link as a lefty.
Lol, try to burn me. It should be good enough for a few beautiful memories. ;D
Anyway, no, of course it's not the only reason. I also think I will choose the GC version for being meant to be on the GC, for being the original thing and because I'm probably not gonna get a Wii until June or something.
I'd also like to add that I'm a righty; my bro's a lefty though. You know, Link being a lefty is such a beautiful little detail to his character. It's of no importance, something that probably will go unnoticed too if you don't really try to get everything out of the games. It makes the world breath a bit and a lot more, if you know what I mean.
I know I'd be prepared to learn to use my left hand while playing the game if only they don't let that detail die.
