Just a minor question about a huge issue. I'm currently trying to figure out how the races of tloz relate to eachother, and of course, that means I have to deal with the Zora/Rito issue too.
Now, I'm trying to collect all evidence for both sides, and this one thing keeps popping up on different sites, but I just can't find it. Lots of sites claim there are a lot of references to the Zora in the aerie. But apart from Medli's dress (which doesn't count), I am incapable of finding any symbol or any (specific) cultural detail of the Zora race. Am I crazy/blind, or is there really nothing but the symbol on Medli's dress?
I only thought the similarities with Medli and Lauruto was that harp.
well, this isn't canon but I think the rito are based/related to the watarara from the zelda manga, they were produced before WW and in the OOT manga. Also the reason we apparently didn,t see them was because of weird "migration patterns". Thanks, but do I have to assume all those sites are saying complete nonsense, because there just isn't any other reference? I wouldn't be surprised, because a lot of people keep believing "Farore created the five races: Gerudo, Hylian, Goron, Zora and Kokiri", while the source for that rumour is noncanon and, if you even use only one braincell, is complete rubbish too. I can't understand stuff like that keeps popping up. I'm slightly dissapointed too there wasn't any other evidence for a Zora-Rito relation. Not because I believe it (of all four options, the Zora evolving in Rito is the most unbelievable one), but because it makes me even more wonder how people can think that.
Harashi, yeah, I know about them. I think the Rito are based on rather than related, since the Watara are far more birdlike, while it is "said" the Rito are still not real birdlike creatures.
The creation story only states that Farore created the creatures that would uphold the law, that's all creatures no matter what race.

I said Medli's dress does not count, because it's obvious she has Zora blood. The whole theory is based on that. The only other I could find after searching for a while was Komali's necklace.....still not enough but at least it's something.
The guy who is the Rito prince has a necklace. It has a picture of the Zora symbol on it.

I never payed much attention to Komali's necklace. I wish I had one like it!
