This is strange, while thinking about the two sages that appear in Windwaker, I started to think on the exact meaning of who they could be. The sages spirits you see that carry on as guardians to the temples until their younger counterparts can be found. I was on Wikipedia, and it stated that the sages of Windwaker had helped a Link. Something occurred to me... What if the things that are mentioned in Windwaker involving the gods and the music was not harbored in Ocarina of Time as originally conceived.

This could very well mean that you will meet the sages of wind and earth in Twilight Princess. This may not hold much, but it does hold a lot when it comes to hints of fragments of story that we aren't aware of of twilight Princess!
This is very odd, and it just struck me on the infinite possibilies that this creates in Twilight Princess... It just seemed right on mark, weird no?

Well, in some way, that I accept as cannon, in OOT you already meet the Wind Sage. Her name is Fado and she is blond and a Kokiri. We know there was originally gonna be a Wind and an Ice Temple, that for some reason were changed.
Actually, there's something else too I immediately thought about when I first met Laruto and Fado in TWW: the instruments in LA. The sages' instruments match two of them. And if we take the number of those intruments + the Wind Waker (which we know could quite possibly have been the Sage Of Time's instrument), there's an instrument for every (currently known) sage.
Wait, is there really an instrument for every sage? Would you mind telling us which instrument corresponds to which sage?

I would not know which would correspond, these are just guesses. Note that LA was the dream of the Wind Fish (and Link possibly), and that being a fish may have affected there names and looks. After all, they are also called the Instruments of the Sirens.

Now only the Wind Waker and the Ocarina Of Time are a bit troubling to be combined. It says the king used the Wind Waker, so the ocarina could be used by the Time Sage. I also believe there could be more sages than the ones known, so maybe one of them gets it?
Or maybe all of this speculation of links between windwaker and the past might be answered in a possible prequel that's not Twilight Princess, but maybe takes place in another game... For all I know, those questions could very well be answered in Phantom Hourglass...
Now that I think about, Phantom Hourglass seems to be a hundred times more contingent than Twilight Princess involving the question of all those sages...
