Seriously folks, despite what some anonymous guests may have you think, this site is not dead. Rather, it's very much alive and will be even more so less than a month from now. Soon Twilight princess will be released and the community will explode with new members. You'll miss the quiet of these good old days.
So please spare me these whispers from elusive guests that TDC is dead and every one should abandon ship, because I'm getting a little perturbed by the discussion. Anyone who thinks TDC is done for doesn't know what they're talking about.
No one needs to 'save" this site, it's doing just fine thank you very much.
Yes, and with these new affilates zelda chronicles and Zelda deminsions, we should do better, so yeah, I don't know what those people are talking about, this is the greatest zelda site ever, and jack, your doing a fine job, also, when do you think your gonna get those walk throughs for the majora's mask on your man site finished?

One, people leave. It's sad, but it happens. Things come up and people can't get on anymore. But just as people leave here, more people come here. That's just how it goes.
Two, TDC is active. And just because it slows down for a while doesn't mean it's dead. Besides, it's not quantity that matters. It's quality. Take a look at Ice's Zelda Central. Members don't post constantly over there, but it's far from dead or bad. What makes IZC great is what the members write (ignoring any spam topics that may occasionally rise).
Who is to say this site needs to be saved!?
Excuse me, but this is one of the most popular forums I'm a member of, if not the most popular. If this site is going down, then chances are the other forums I'm a member of are, too.
I, with many other people here, am siding with Jack on this one.

Also, jack, keep it up, this is by far, one of the best zelda sites in the history of zelda sites, heck probaly one of the oldest, it was also the first forum I've joined, and if anyone wants to talk bad about it, your gonna have to go through me to do it.
Eh, we can only hope that things will get up with a huge rise with the appearance of TP...
All I can say is, I hope the server can take all the new members that will soon be joining. It seems to run pretty slow on occasion, for me at least.
Now if only we weren't so abusive with the rules and would at least let people have some fun without instant deletion.

Hey, Jack and the mods make it pretty clear what the rules are and how far it takes to break them. I do admit, more warnings were given this month than every over month, but it is because so many new members have popped up this month that have little idea of the rules and accidently broke them. And, the warnings will disappear in just a few days.
Actually, a considerable number of those guys were veteran members, including yours truly. They may not have been active for some time, but they only just came back. Heh, might also be a reason some are leaving, but still...

This forum is fine, im not worried about it. Besides, just beacuse some veterans leave, doesnt mean it all falls apart! Ratrhrer, I think this place is growing.
And, although this sounds bad, I actually hope this site won't be the most popular zelda site, because that would attract rule breakers, spammers, and spam bots.
no, it makes sense what you said. I mean, go on zelda Vortex, which hasnt had an update in like 2 years, and you'll see what a mess the forums are.

NO. YOUR NOT, Veteran Members are Lone Wolf theives, mods and admins., anyone below that are not. I am a vetearn member not you, that's a perfect example. You need to be honest here, and that to me, a person with experince, call that an insult

What I mean by veteran is people who've been here longer than two months. I've visited this place every single day since I first joined, yet I don't post often enough to be a lone wolf thief just yet... Ah well...
I've been here nearly 3 months already... but I digress.
But things are getting stricter for some as of yet unseen reason. Not sure why.
Well, several 4 star ones can be considered veterans, and mabye one or two 3 star. Aero, who isn't active, is still remembered by several site members, and he joined a little before me, so he's a veteran sorta. And also kamikaziplumber is a veteran, just currently unactive or left (I don't know because of the inactive period). On immediate terms, you're mostly right, though.
If peoiple do leave, its okay. We'll get new memebers, and they'll rise up to become loved members too. When i joined, i guarantee nobody expected me to become a high rank poster, but i did. You never know, a newb can join and suddenly post all the time.
