This topic was made for two reasons.
1. Who has the day off? ;D
2. Is there a Veteran in your family in whome you would like to honor?
now for me to answer-
1. Heck yes!!
2. My great grandpa Rufus Gill, and my Great grandpa Manuel hernandez. They both served in World War II.
This evening at work some old lady called me and asked if the mail was going to come on Veterans Day and if the bank would be open... I work at a pharmacy.
Thats a little weird. I had to do a report on my Great Grandpa. He served in the battle of the buldge, and was one of the thirty men out of hundreds that survived. ;)
As in you get November 10th off because Veteran's Day fall on a Saturday? No, I still have classes. And my mom's dad served in the Korean War.
My answers:
1. Oh yeah! ;D
2. Not that I know of.
Well, HNS, We all get friday off, so that makes you a- no. I will not stoop to your level. My lips shall remain sealed.
We cal it Remembrance day
We didn't get the day off...
We had a special memorial service (only our year didn't have to go, we just waited in the form room). We all bought paper poppies and attached them to our blazers. And tommorow on the eleventh minute, of the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we have like a 5 minute silence. I always feel like crying when we have our service :(
Does myself count? ;D
My grandpa was in world war 2, the Philippians war part I do believe, the way he died was so sad, and the last thing I said to him was, cya later grandpa. Why did he have to go? :(
Well, we're about to go to war at Hyrule Adventures, and my name is after all Zelda Veteran. I suppose I could count. :D
Good pun! ;D
I didnt get off for veterans day. Stupid school.
And i honor my grandpa, who waqs going to serve in WWII, and trained a hell of alot. He was almost drafted, but before he could be, the war ended. I honor him for his sacrifice, anyway.
School on Veterans Day? That sucks.

I just remember, my grandfather on my mom's side was a veteran.
