Heh, sInce I'm pretty sure the other nick topic is lost in the abyss we know as the chatboard (i'm the one who created THAT topic) I'm making a new topic. Heh, this can be about any old show you remember fondly, not just from Nick, it could even be about Transformers or Sailor Moon...
Anyway... I remember an old show on Nick called "Beyond Belief!" weird thing is, this was BEFORE the fox show of the same name. It featured lots of skeletons and stuff if I remember...
I also remember some old dude showing kids certain science experiments... can't remember what it was though...
i remember Are you Afriad of the Dark and this other show about the mario Bros. And i can't forget Courage the Cowarldy Dog.
Courage the Cowardly dog was on Cartoon network. And Remember CatDog? I'm not sure if it comes on anymore.
it comes on occasionally, but usually on Nicktoons Network.
It's a Different World was once on Nick at Nite.
Good thread. Good memories. I used to love Rocko's Modern Life, Ren and Stimpy, and All That. Remember Really Really Big Man? Him and his nipples of the future. ;D
OH DEAR GOD, I thought I had forgotten about RRRBM... He was insane. I mean, those gigantic nipples... AAAAAAHHH!!!
Heh, Ren and Stimpy was like the only show you could get real brain damage... screwed up, but still funny. Rocko's modern Life had it's own brand of surrealism, which was INSANE... "I'm Nauseous, I'm Nauseous, I'm Nauseous, etc"
I also somehow remember "Round House" which was All that's precursor...
dang, I remember wwaaaaaaaaay too much, heh.
i used to enjoy Rugrats, that was a funny show. It had alot of personaltiy. ;D
Anyone remember the Log song from Ren and Stimpy?
Everyone wants a log
LOGS LOGS LOGS
PURE INSANITY
But it was fun while it lasted
I mean, just seeing those ultra happy kids was crazy enough...
HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY...
Ren and stimpy was probably every kid born in the 80's first experience with adult humor...
Ren and Stimpy was around in the 80s? i thought it was more early 90s...
Doy, every kid that was born in the '80's remembers that show. On the other hand, those born in the early 90's have a hard time remembering things that were on in the early 90's.
well, i was born in the early 90s, and the only thing i remember is Winnie the Pooh (a classic, if i might add).
You know, second poster up from this post, you must have the longest and most ridiculous name in the entier site!
Back on topic, there once was a show called the Jeffersons, which I think, but am not positive of, they have been cancelled.
Heehee, I changed my name as a homage to DW reminding me of Rocko's modern life and Really Really Big man...
Like it, don't ya?
I think the jeffersons was an old sitcom from the '70's... or was there a more recent cartoon show? ah well...
No, I don't like it that much, really.
And that reminds me of a show called Family Matters, and it was really good. You know, this could be a topic of old TV shows in general. ... Look, I can change topic names.

omg i love family matters and step by step and full house
freaks and geeks anyone?
I love Full House, too! I've seen almost every episode! And Family Matters and Boy Meets World are very good, too.
I remember watching the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons.
Boy meets world was the best sitcom ever. I loved that show. Oh and i used to watch sonic alot when i was little. That show was so cool.
I remember the olde sonicque from ages and ages hence... the dude loved chili dogs.
Now how about a discussion of BATMAN? I'm talking about the cartoon version, which was exceptionally wonderful and dark for a children's show, but it was AWESOME. But may the horrors of Adam West burn in eternity.
The old batman show from the sixties was so cheesy, it's not even funny, but the cartoon of the nineties, after Tim Burton's film, was the best thing I remember in an american cartoon.
Same here. Two minds think alike, I guess. I remember watching the cartoons when I was little, then there was also Beast wars, (I loved that show!) and Sonic the Hedgehog when I was even younger! But then came the rip offs that evolved from those shows. Such as "The Batman", Beast Machines, and Sonic underground(Although that was pretty good.). But as for the older Batman shows, Adam West was pretty good, the show sucked.
THE HORROR, THE HORROR...
Adam West MADE the show horrible. thank the blessed damsel you have not seen the movie of the sixties show, it's so cheesy, it's STRONGLY recommended to induce vomiting after viewing.
So many memories. I just wish someone would bring back all those old shows. Nowadays stuff is mainly very, very cheap. Either it's an inferior remake, an anime-wannabe or just an over-used predictable concept. Most even have very wrong messages. Like Trollz, or whatever that show is called. I've never seen such open racism and sexism in any other show. Pucca, nothing better.
I'd love to see Teddy Ruxpin again. Now that was a good show. Loveable, original characters. A great story. Humor everyone could enjoy and one kick-ass baddie. ^^
God, The Devil And Bob, now that was funny. But very short. Not many people seem to know it.
Transformers, Beast Wars, Doctor Snuggles, Babar, Batman, Batman Beyond, X-men, Samurai Pizz Cats, Bob in the Bottle, Tic Tac Toons (I think it was called that), Three Little Ghosts, Bit the Cupid, Widget the World Watcher, Captain Planet, Bucky O'Hare and the Toad Menace, Super Mario Show, Sonic, Tenko and the Guardians of the Magic (cheesy but fun), MASK, King Arthur and the Knights Of Justice, Animals of the Green Forest, Sailor Moon, Ulysses, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Gargoyles, Winnie the Pooh, Gummybears, Darkwing Wuck, Freakazoid!, Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Star Trek, COPS, A-Team, David the Gnome, Alfred Jodocus Kwak, The Animals of Fathing Wood, Biker Mice From Mars, Are You Afraid Of The Dark, Prince Argai, Thunderbirds, Super Pig and lots of other anime.
I miss the old days when I had to decide what I prefered to watch. And nowadays, I zap for a few minutes only to discover there's absolutely nothing worth watching most of the time.
Come to think of it, there's this show I can't remember the name of and nobody over at retrojunk.com knew it either. Maybe someone here remembers. It was about possibly four kids and some r2-d2-like robot...thing. Every episode, they would do a few experiments with average stuff like eggs, balloons etc. It must've aired late 80s/early '90s, but I remember it looked very old.
Did the movie go something like this? This is a Simpson's spoof of it.

Oh, this reminds me, the first anime show I watched was Yu Yu Hakusho (which has been completed). Although I only saw the Rando and Four Beasts Arcs, along with the beginning, I like the series. I like reading the manga, still.
I also loved Nickelodean when I was younger. My favorite Nick shows were Rugrats and Hey Arnold.
Hey Arnold was really funny. But it was also to serious at times for my licking. And Arnold had that classic shaped head, it was funny.
