What kind of Minish is Vaati? And Ezlo too. I think Vaatis a town Minish because one, he doesn't look like a mountain Minish, two, his clothes kind of look like the kind that which the town Minish wear, and three, being as how the Forest Minish do stuff like hide rupees and junk in the grass, and mountain Minish mine, the things that Ezlo and Vaati do seem like twon Minish chores. But Ezlo's green clothes sort of tell me he's a forest Minish. What do you think?
Heh, if I recall from the game coreectly, there was a scene twixt ezlo and vaati. Hmm, I'd think Ezlo as more of a forestr minish, cause of how he's secluded from society as a whole. So I'dd think he'd be more of a herit-secret magic guy type. Not really of the Town, but defintely more of the forest and tricking people.
I think it might also be possible that the Minish are related to the kokiri/koroks. Cause of how they're originally of the forest and are very secretive...
They don't have to be any of them. Just because Link only met those Minish doesn't mean there aren't others. I agree that if they are, they'd most likely be Town Minish (at least NOT Mountain Minish). But who knows what kind of Minish Link may have missed? Since Mountain Minish can only be found in one specific location, why wouldn't others be like that too?
Yeah, I was kind of thinking that, like who knows, there could be, Water Minish, or Wind Minish... :-\
They're all the one and same race. Forest, Town, and Mountain just refers to where the Minish live. A Forest Minish could very well move into Hyrule Town and then he would be a Town Minish. So I guess the question is "Where does Ezlo live?"
Something tells me in town Minish, because Bukuta seems to know Ezlo most more than any of the other antient Minish.
Ezlo and Vaati aren't from Hyrule. They are from the sacred world the Minish originally came from. So, I'd say they are neither Town, Forest nor Mountain Minish.

But didn't the Minish come from their magical little world hundreds of years before the Minish Cap? And even though the life span of a Minish could be pretty long, I don't think Vaati's that old. I'm guessing that maybe his parents or his grandparents came through the portal and then had him in the human world. I don't know so much about Ezlo, though, he's pretty old.
Also possible proof, in the MC manga, the library Minish know who Ezlo is, so it is possible here's from the town.

The portal opens once every hundred years. Last time it opened was on the Picori Festival exactly one hundred years before TMC. It's never stated that the whole race moved from the world.
If you beat the game you see Ezlo leaving through the portal. Since Vaati was his apprentice it can only be assumed that he also comes from the Minish World (there's no official source that claims that the portal at Hyrule Castle is the only portal).

I think it was just because Ezlo was one of the famous Minish Sages that the one guy knew him.
