Acording to desert colossus' theory about the many existing Links in Hyrule, Ocarina of Time's does not belong to the bloodline that will follow in WW, Link being a farmer would let us think that is the secuel to Adventure of Link, but it is not, acording to E3 info(which I ignored 'till Goron Master's reply to my first post here) then, this makes Link OoT Link 1 from my point of view, but the link in the bloodline continuity between twilight princess and wind waker is yet to be confirmed.
Well what about the other pervious Links? Like the NES Link? How do we really know that OoT is Link 1?
I would suggest looking at the timeline board, but assuming you follow the split timeline theory OoT is first.
That's not a fact. I have a very possible timeline theory (that does not argue with any in-game evidence) that puts LoZ at the start of the timeline.
I'm sending this to the Timeline board.
How the hell did you get loZ at the start? How did Ganon get locked in the Dark World?
He doesn't. He invades with his army from a 'world of evil'. That's all the Japanese version says on the matter. It never outright claims it to be THE Dark World. And we already know from MM and TP that there are other worlds connected to Hyrule.
Of course, that all depends on whether or not you think the Japanese versions are higher canon.
The games were made by Japanese developers. How are they not higher canon? The only thing that's not higher canon is the names.
Because I believe there is a quote somewhere of some Nintendoite saying that the two (English and Japanese) form two different, yet equally canonical, stories.
I'd be very greatful if someone could find this quote. And if it turns out it doesn't actually exist, I'll drop the whole thing.
